i am looking to remove this head in hopes to put in on a repainted universe sunstreaker as wheeljack. i'm having some trouble so far and i can't unscrew the bottom screws on the back of his head becasue the hood is in the way. can anyone give me any tips? or has anyone ever tried this? could the head even work on universe sunstreaker?

ok update... i ended up unscrewing the whole hood (and probably breaking the figure) now the ball joint on sunstreaker is way too big...and downshift's head needs to be assembled around the joint becasue it's not really a ball joint head... so would i be better off carving down the ball joint or make the neck hole bigger on the head?

It's too tough get the ball to the right size and keep it round. Easier just to carve the hole bigger, a little at a time.

Instead of carving down the ball you could use something abrasive like sandpaper to gradually reduce the size. It would give you more control than carving, I think.
