So I'm planning to buy G1 Soundwave if I ever get the chance. When and if that chance comes, I plan to repaint his visor/eyes red instead of their current yellow. I have some red Testors paint ready to go. Will I need any special equipment, since I'm trying to paint it over a very small area without affecting the stuff around it, or can I just use a normal paint brush and be careful?

Yeah, a regular brush should do fine. You may want to mask around his visor with tape though, to be extra neat.

Instead, Of painting such a small area, Why dont you buy Red Glass Beads? Then you can easily remove the screws at the back of the head then open the head and insert the beads in the head.

And you are good to go!!!

How would beads in the head help?

When RED Glass Beads are put in a toys head, Any light that will enter the beads will reflect on glass and will give the effect of red eyes and it will look more movie accurate. I have posted a picture.
This person has modified his Bumblebee and put Blue Glass Beads in his bumblebee's eyes.

Yes, well, it doesn't really work when the toy has no light-piping. Also, we're taking SHOW accurate, not movie accurate.

Sorry, I made a mistake. It should have been "Show accurate" and not "Movie accurate". My bad.

That still doesn't remove the fact that G1 Soundwave has no lightpiping. His visor is painted, not clear. Glass will not help.
