Ok so I bought the Wal-Mart Exclusive DotM repaint of Sidearm Sideswipe. He is an absolutely fatastic character...except for those blasted all-spark blue guns. Now say I wanted to take those abominations and turn them black...what is the best and most cost efficient way of doing so? As a newb I have only thought of the following two ways...

Spray Paint- Seems good but I'm worried about coverage and globs

RIT Dye- Dont eve know if it works but seems like the easiest way to guarantee complete coverage.

So what do you guys recommend?

Find a hobby store, Pat Catan's, or Michael's, and pick up a Testors Paint Marker in gloss black. Great for beginners: no need for a brush, no clean up, paints right where you want it.

I'd recommend the RIT dye. Even coverage, plus you don't have to worry about it scratching or chipping off.

For small peices I would go with the Dye. using the markers is great fro precise detail work and black lining figures for depth. I personally have never dyed a figure but A few of my fellow customizers have and I have seen the results..
