How to make paint thicker?

After some testing and heavy examination, I believe that the yellow paint color below (Model Master Acryl 4721 - Insignia Yellow) is the one that closely matches the yellow of Generations Voyager Sandstorm.

But because the paint is watery, I have to apply a new coat over and over until the color is solid.

Therefore, I need to know...

Is there something I can add/mix to the paint in order to make thicker?

About the only thing to make paint thicker is to leave it open and let the water evaporate, though I really wouldn't. It's too easy to over do it, then you wind up with a solid chunk of pigment, not paint.

What are you trying to paint? If it's darker than the yellow, you should be using a primer coat first, either white or a lighter yellow (or even both). Failing that, Testors does have Insig Yellow in enamel, too.
