I know what you mean, it's been a rollercoaster making the switch and catching up with Masterpiece, there's a point where there were MP's showing up daily, however now things have slowed down for me as I only have a couple of figures left before I consider myself caught up. I'm actually looking forward to securing these last two figures and taking a well earned break while I wait for new releases.

Hahah thanks C-tron ;)

Nah i get it and i'm comfortable with the simpler designs only because the robot modes are pretty much spot on for the most part especially with takaras paint jobs .

donny1975 wrote:On another note I have to say you have echoed some of my feelings about collecting. I ran into the hobby full steam and have been having a blast but I also want to enjoy some of the simpler aspects of the official mainstream toys...maybe the problem is too much collecting and not enough playing?? Feeling like I have to be in the know on every new release and watching it's progress with gnawing anticipation. Making sure I get every great figure (or collection of figures) out there so my collection will be complete (presshiuss)...that's friggin' stressful...LOL

Ya know thats just it Donny , i am/was so obsessed with wanting the best i forgot what i came into this hobby with and what i got out of it

I'm still obsessed with wanting info and posting pics thats something i still find really fun so i will still be dwelling in the dark corner of Seibertron

I've never got to the stage of buying figures and not transforming them, I always make a point of opening and spending a good hour or two with a figure on the day I get them. It never really feels like I "own" it till I transform it. I always try and keep the fun too, one of the ways I do that is by regularly posting in the "Name that Film" thread I created, (shameless plug):

http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/viewtopic.php?f=160&t=100117

I have a lot of fun recreating the scenes and choosing figures that match the character either visually or by way of personality, it a great way to breath personality into figures, especially MP's as they are often super articulated.

That's sort of how i was feeling , i was just fiddling with them finding a pose and they were straight on the shelf . it almost felt like i hadn't bought them after a while :BANG_HEAD: .

Im gonna check that thread out properly also looks like fun :D

Cheers LL :D

Apollyon is pretty sound for most part a couple of sloppy paint scuffs here and there but nothing major and of course the shoulders were weak but i only swapped out the cannon arm and left the other cos i didnt like having two stiff arms.

Yeah a little finicky a little fragile in places, kinda like the Cons version of MP-09 (who I also love), any issues I have with his dissolve away once he's in his respective modes... Did I mention I really really like Apollyon BTW :D

Knock Knock....creeeeeak...

Well just stopped in to see how married life is treating you? Hope she's keeping you on your toes!

I did miss out on all the in appropriate sausage memes...oh well...they were funny to look through.

Anything new on the horizon or still slowing it down a bit?

Why hello , Mr 75

Married life is good mate , nothing much changed but its a great feeling to have committed to each other .

Haha yeah , looks like the blue sausage pic I put up has failed I didnt realise they were an actual fruit ill find it again sometime .

As for collecting Transformers its on hold at the moment and ive been buying figures for my other collections

Tf aren't off the card , I just missed out on the Takara cw Superion set still waiting for them to restock , I do have menasor and defensor on preorder and I think I might get devastator also.

On MP front MT chromedome and hardhead are tremendous !!! Definitely getting those I also really want some insecticons im thinking about double or even tripple dipping on all the insecticons .

Edit . Also I haven't made any new figure posts /updates or new pics because my laptop is funked , its very frustrating .

Def sounds like you still got some TF stuff going down :). I jumped into the CW world also, I got Silverbolt, Hotspot, and Cyclonus, all of the stunticons and most of the aerialbots...still need air raid and I got defensor's limbs on order as well.

I am totally feeling you on the insecticons, but I will only be going with one set, LOL! But I am giving the Bold Forms Lone Wolf a go for the my official stunticon limbs.

I think Maketoys CD and HH are looking awesome!, but I already have versions of them I really dig, and not into spending 130+ per figure to get those. I also am not ok with how tall chromedome is... Hardhead wouldn't bother me (too much), but chromedome being almost as tall as MP-10 is no bueno for me...
