I'm so close to having the cash for Mags myself, and now I can't wait to tie a string on 'em and turn him into a pull toy. Walk up and down the street with him in my little dutch boy outfit pulling Mag in one hand and a giant lolly in the other. :-(

Speaking of movie cast. I really hope they do a Hotrod (not Rodimus). But, have y'all seen that new 3P Rodimus? Can't remember who is making him. He looks really good. Really slick design.

I saw that Rodimus, DX-9 are making him (who I belive are Unique Toys) gotta say I'm not a big fan, I think he fals into the too good for Classics and not good enough for Masterpiece category, or "Classterpiece" as I like to call them, thier Wreck Gar and Astrotrain are the same, shame as I think they would fit right into the Classics line if they were a touch smaller.

Classterpiece!
That's probablly why I like him. I like the classics esthetic, but your right he doesn't really fit in with the MPs. It would be better if he was smaller. I might even consider him if he was meant for Classics/Gen.

Donny, hope you don't mind. Lubey and I are just hangin' in your living room. chillin' with the dogs while your at work. I swear we haven't touched the diorama! Is it ok to put our feet up on this table?

Yeah, we definitely haven't touched the diorama, or loaded porn onto the LCD screen! ;)

I'm gonna get it...rodimus not the porn , donny can keep that for those sleepless nights ;)

That rodimus while not MP is a solid Rodimus Prime and after MPUM i wouldnt mind another all in one trailer transformation.

I think you still have time also (as Shajaki said) I think it a popular figure but I also think they are looking to sell quite a bit of them and I wholeheartedly believe that there will be a re-release. Look at MP 10...I hope Hasbro does a re-release of MP-10.

I like the blue roller, and not dead eyes on the Hasbro version. As well as the painted cab lights.

Leakin’ Lubricant – YES! Where is Springer! Arcee( I desperately want her)!, Kup! I want them all MUWHAHAHAHAHAHA!....oh wait that really doesn’t apply here…oh well.
But with Ironhide on the way and potentially a Ratchet repaint I can wait as long as we do get MP version of those movie figures.

HAHA! You are reading my thoughts with the Dutch Boy outfit that is exactly what I was thinking when I said the lollipop bit.

He looks good but I am midly concerned about all the panel forming and the fact that he vehicle mode is shown scaled with an iGear MP prime, and his bot mode was shown with a MP-10…

As LL said he might scale well with his newly designated class of "Classterpiece"....or did you mean "Clusterpiece" :-? Although I am not sure I agree about Chigurh but that's mainly because I have him on pre-order so I am biased LOL. I am getting him 'cause he'll be the perfect MP version until...the next perfect MP version of him comes along...

Now I know where all the beer is going...and if you're gonna play with the dogs make sure they are sufficiently tuckered out when I get home, epic fail on that... Also, I am this close to checking the Teletraan to make sure there is not porn on it LOL!

You all can hang out here any time your want!

Hmmm...at least we aren't talking about balls...

I am like his look, very G1 crossed some IDW but I def want to see a test shot review before making any final decisions on potentially replacing my MP Hot/Rodimus....Although I did get the die cast knees for him so maybe that'll make me feel better about him...

I got my latest haul on Friday and finally got some time to sit and unbox them and play around.

Warden and his platform shoes :) (didn't did a bunch of shots with him since I already have photos of Guardian (above)).

Then GUTTUR also arrived. I am pretty stoked about this guy and lovin' him a lot. He is not without his issues but I have to say that for a first figure Gigapower did a really good job.

Pros -- Scale (for me personally it's great), Overall sculpt and detailed of the dino mode and bot modes, G1 toy likeness in bot and dino modes, ratchets in the arms and hips, dine leg ratchets and ankle tilts, all the accessories.

Cons -- the leg ratchets are strong, but the housing (i.e. the crotch) has a "hair" of play in the way it fits. So the legs have a slight wiggle and when you pose him the legs slide a out a bit due to the play. This play also causes the torso to lean forward or back depending on the angle of the hips joints. Paik4Life demonstrated the issue in his video.

After looking at the figure for a minute I have decided that if it ever keeps me up at night I can easily fix it. Or maybe I will just ask them to redesign the hips a'la Fansproject and send it out to folks (not that it'll do anything but hey why not).

Overall I am very happy with him "warts and all", and hoping that GP is going to keep to their word on helping folks with other more serious issues and also learning from this project for the next figure.

Nice haul! It certainly seems Gigapower is the one to beat right now (for MP dino's). I'm still on the fence about 3P MP's, but I almost panic-bought that reissue of Scoria. Glad I didn't, cause if I do venture into the dark side it'll be with GP ;)^

Glad you like him, and thanks for the pics and mini review!

I think they have a way to go to get to FT level, even though Scoria and Soar both had issues of their own (e.g. Scoria's leg ratchets). They are off to a great start though. I was close to pulling the trigger on the Scoria re-release as well but then I just wasn't sold on the overall design, it looks great but not quite what I want. Then these guys came out and I saw the pre-prod reviews and was sold.

It was a risk but overall I am happy with the outcome and can't wait to see the rest of his teammates.

If you do want to come to the darkside, then...

No No LOL, I'm not swimmin' cash. I say (above) I too was close to pulling the trigger on Scoria. I am guessing the confusion is in the statement before that where I mention the issues with Scoria and Soar. I should clarify the reported issues with those figures.

I love Quakewave but their Dinobots are just not doing it for me design wise...I am sure that they are solid figures even with the occasional issue but not my cup o tea...and seeing the GP dino's a little smaller than I knew I wanted :) LOL.

I think I'm just now realizing how expensive it is to get quality MP style figures. $200 a pop for FT Dinobots is tough considering I had to cancel Apollyon for the time being. Why must I want the expensive figures?! It's so hard to focus on one area, you're doing a great job Donny!

Thanks itscramtastic! Yes you are correct, this is an expensive hobby, especially if you want a quality figure even from a 3rd party.

In the meantime I was busy with two of my newest additions...

I gave UM some sticker love (some of you may gasp...) I think he looks MAG-nificent! (yuk yuk)
