I am nearly done with Menasor's head, so I may post an image here and show it off in color.

Menasor head-sculpt progress image as promised.

Edit: I feel that he looks a bit too happy, even though I was trying to make him look more crazy. I'll try to maybe fix that. :WRECKERS:

Pretty good looking head, I like it!

As a bonus, my CW wave 6 autobots came in! I will post pics eventually, but I'm fighting the flu right now, so we'll see how long it takes for me to get better :MAXIMAL:

Gotta say, I really like them. Even Wheeljack is pretty sweet and enjoyable. :MAXIMAL:

Nice D!
Glad to hear you're happy with Jack. I have Smokey and Blazer and they rock.
I like Smokey better than I thought I would. Probably because I've always liked the other 2 brothers better than Prowl. Smokey is the BEAR BOMB!
Hound dawg is cast in some really nice plastic, ya?

Great haul Bro! :D

Of these 4 I have some awesome stuff to say for each. the remolding on Jackie is just awesome, and with a bit of black paint he would honestly be golden. I love the Smokescreen mold and the colors and the paint work really well. I dig him tons. Trailbreaker is my favorite so heavy bias, but I think he is the best choice for the mold (besides First aid, but he is a heavy retool, so I'm only gonna count the trucks). Plus that HFG is awesome! Love it! But Hound is the winner for me. It is perfect, nice plastic, nice colors, beautiful. Hound is the winner of the wave for me!

Now I will be headed home for spring break at the end of the week, and once there I will have Mirage and Sunstreaker and Cyclonus to join these guys, so the long sought after Lost Light combiner shall finally be created!!! I'm very excited for that!! :MAXIMAL:

Cool! Now I can't wait to get he other two. ;)^
I've already decided I'm going to take a brush to Jack. Got it all planned out and everything.

since we already got all these Ark bots now I'm ready for,

Hotspot as Inferno or Grapple. With...
Bluestreak, Sideswipe, Ratchet, and Jazz (with Dead End's alt mode).
I'm a sucker and, I know it. 8-}

I would love a Bluestreak. And Grapple and Inferno as they are all Lost Lighters :D

And considering Sideswipe my 2nd fav, I would love a new version of him for my collection :MAXIMAL:

Nice! I actually saw, believe it or not, all of the wave six Autobot deluxes at Target the other day when I went there for errands. I didn't get them since I'm kinda holding off on TF purchases at the moment but I wanted Trailcutter so bad! =P~

Trailbreaker is actually a pretty sick dude! His new hand parts for the HFG are really cool and I cannot wait to combine him with Cyclonus and the rest. He shall be the right arm and will be generating forcefields! :MAXIMAL:

well you see, in the MTMTE comics, Cyclonus was never a con, just an ancient cybertronian who now just wants to live his life. So he is on the Lost Light with all the autobots and even some ex-cons (Megs and Ravage (technically maybe?)). So I am going for the Lost Light crew with my display and much of my collecting, and that is why the faction combiner is ok with me with those guys, considering they are all by now shipmates for years and who can and have fought together and have some degree of trust in each other :MAXIMAL:

Personally I am not hugely into MTMTE, but I rather like the Combiner Wars and Dark Cybertron comics better.

Funny thing though: Dark cybertron was half MTMTE, and the combiner wars comics are set in the sister run to MTMTE. and Dark cybertron was what ended up bringing the Lost Light back to Cybertron and convincing everyone that those guys weren't dead (and they ended up with Megatron), so it was pretty huge for MTMTE. Plus, the entire Defensor crew is from MTMTE, and as of issue 44 in the Transformers, they are headed back to MTMTE. Which is good, cause First Aid is one of the bigger characters over there.

But I see your point. I like MTMTE cause it is all about character and not about fighting so much. It is just something completely new as the transformers have always been at war and it is interesting to see what war has done once it is over and how characters are adjusting to doing something besides fighting for almost or all of their lives :MAXIMAL:

Haha Ik Ik, but man I love the giant combiners and such. Also I am not a huge fan of the gory scenes in MTMTE either, but they have a few similar things in those comics too. I think I have a harder time with MTMTE since they seem more human, rather than robotic like Dark Cybertron and Combiner Wars. That's not nesissarily a bad thing, but I feel it's just a bit too graphic. Also Dark Cybertron and Combiner Wars are more in the teen rating rather than MTMTE being in the mature rating.

Speaking of the comics, but are you on the same boat as me regarding current IDW Arcee? I actually really liked Arcee from TF Prime because, although she was tough, she still had that compassionate nature that we all know and love from Arcee. IDW Arcee though? Idk. She seems to be more like a hired thug for Hitler or something. She's just too stinkin BRUTAL! The one reason LSOTW is not of my favorite comics list is because of Arcee in it. At least in Dark CYbertron she was not AS prominent, but in LSOTW she is a main character that you see all the time. I just find Arcee kinda a winy murdering douchebag assassin. Do you agree?

I'm with you D on MTMTE; it's great and a lot of fun. I'm quite few issues behind at this point. I need to suck it up and dedicate some time to it. Read the ones I own and pick up the ones I don't.

Do you go physical or digital cause there is a good sale going on at comixology right now on the volumes until 2/29.

Man nice pick up on CW wave 6. With all the praise it's going be real hard to not grab them all the second I see them.

EDIT: Arcee is just a mess, I like her quite a bit.

I actually really like the artwork put into MTMTE, but I don't really like the story that much. Also I feel the artwork, though very nicely done, doesn't have as much color as I would prefer like CW or Dark C has, so it doesn't keep my attention as much.

Cary: I prefer the hard versions. Online comics just don't read as well as when they are firmly in my hands. and yes those wave 6 guys are frikkin awesome and I am so glad I got them from that ebay seller I showed you guys 2 weeks ago. I got the next to last one too (had to wait for the paycheck)

Silly:

we'll start with Arcee: I honestly like this interpretation of her. She was an experiment, and there is no way she can ever truly undo what all that did to her, such as her blind hatred and her brutality. It makes sense to me. And while it is a bit of a stinker in SotW, It works, as it is actually making sense with her personality compared to that of the wreckers (like Roadbuster in a way). Now Prime Arcee to me is the best Arcee we've gotten as she mixed all her emotions and histories and storylines together nicely. IDW has her by far more brutal, but it fits the character and all the background done with her.

Now as for gory stuff: the Transformers (ex-RiD) and combiner wars and such is more about actual battle and--considering where we are in the post-war era--is as close to the regular transformers war that this is gonna get for now. So they can focus more on the fight and less on the actual brutality of the actions (if that makes sense).

Now MTMTE is no where near about war. MTMTE is a quest story, and quest stories have their actions. like here: so far they have only ever fought an individual for a few individuals with a massive army of drones (We're not to the DJD yet) so any sort of death and fight has had the ability to go deeper and darker than most transformers comics. Ambulon, Pipes, Trailcutter, their deaths were showed in detail due to the fact that they were the one person in the situation and the 1 person to die, and because you feel a bit more connected to these characters and the feel more human, it hurts a bit more. sort of like a violent soap opera sort of deal. MTMTE can get cruel and deep because it isn't a war story. It is something completely different. Now, I do not feel it has gotten any higher maturity content than The Transformers, but it delves into much different stuff. Horrifying death is a part of the show, but it only happens every 6-8 issues or so. Now they have shown some very dark and disturbing things, but that is the nature, almost like what happens behind the scenes in war stories that we never see. Almost like TT is telling the war story and MTMTE is including behind the scenes stuff, emotions, struggles and deaths not normally seen. And that makes it that much more interesting.

I hope that kinda makes for a good explanation :MAXIMAL:

Yup ;)^

MTMTE has a more mature story to tell, not just mature because of visual content.

EDIT: I prefer digital on a tablet. A good mix of almost comic size (easy full page viewing) with the digital convenience of all my books in my palm.

See, I have read some digital issues, but there is something about holding it in your hand, and being able to stare at some images without going double/triple vision cause you are staring at a digital screen. Plus, the hardback comics look nice on a shelf ;) :MAXIMAL:

That makes sense, and like I said, its a good comic. I however prefer stories that focus more on the bigger picture and have more color than ones like MTMTE. It's just personal preference.

Now, regarding Arcee: I like her character. They wrote her nicely. HOWEVER, as ARCEE, it doesn't work. I would've much preferred it if they had used Beta, or Roadrage, or a character that would fit that description better. The loving Arcee turned into an assassin doesn't work for me.
