Good lord what a week. Five days straight of 13 hour shifts. It was nothing but work and sleep. My poor dogs :( but my lucky wallet :lol:
I bought some things, but also left o lot of stuff on the table too in favor of paying off some debt. Paying off said said debt might only help me afford the onslaught of toys releasing in March, but I'ma try real hard to keep it down 8-}

Waiting for my new LG's, MP+, and Big Powered, but nothing came in. Next week I guess! All I got was another addition to the VHS collection:

A few months ago I found and original TFTM VHS sealed and didn't pounce on it quick enough. Oh the ragrets :-(

Ok, Brutiscream looks pretty bad ass. The cape and crown does wonders! ;)

I'm really sad I got rid of some of my favorite VHS tapes for a white elephant Xmas at work. I would never do that to a copy of TFTM though, if I had a copy.

I have a DVD from the 20th anniversary, and the recent 30th anniversary blu-ray.

I still have a copy of Army of Darkness on VHS though!

Holy crap on a stick! Two things: First, where is that cape from? Second, I didn't know the new feets had ankles :shock: well poop, now I want PotP Starscream

VHS :-? the last time I owned/bought VHS was when we stayed in a cabin in the woods several years ago. They had a VHS player and we picked up a few from a local antique/second hand/salvage store for a dollar each. Left them all there for the next people :lol:

TF:TM though, is a pretty awesome pick up ;)^ I have the latest re-re-release on DVD because I don't care about fidelity 8-)

The cape is from MP-11 ;)

Right?! I had little interest in him initially. But now... 8-}

Picked up this bad boy locally. With the eBay prices being what they are, I actually had given up on nabbing one. Price was right though!

Now don't get me wrong, he is beautiful, but the fact that his gold isn't as rich as the Black Dragonzord's kinda bums me out. I also now realize a great deal of his details are from stickers, and the Dragonzord has more sculpted details. Still nice together though :x

Out of interest, Shaki, do you own/plan to acquire the SoC Megazord (or whatever the Japanese version is called)? That thing looks like a work of art.

So after I get PotP Starscream all I'll need to do is track down 4 loose ghost Screamers and I will call him Narcissisticus :lol:

I do. I really do. But... it isn't without its flaws. Those flaws plus his pricetag are what stops me from pulling the trigger.

However, if SOC does a Dragonzord, I'll buy BOTH in a heartbeat =P~

Wow, Brutiscream works!! I saw Ben's review of Starscream though, complete pass for me. I'm pretty sad as it does nothing positive for me other than torso mode, and I already don't have enough limbs :lol:

This is great :lol: :lol: I have always planned to pick up Screamer. The robot mode looks awesome to me, and the size is perfect. Still debating on staying in combined mode or not, but that pic makes me more akin to trying him out combined!

I had zero interest in getting the white or black Titanus, mainly due to the price and the fact that the white one never appeared in any of my stores. But Black/Goldy here was 200 CAD, 40% off, so EIGHTY BUCKS OFF. I mean come on, I'm only human 8-}

Nifty! I'm not a big Sentai/PR fan but that sounds damn cool.

To be honest, the one PR/SS figure I would buy, maybe, is the SRC Dekarobo (the SPD Megazord). I've heard it's a pretty great toy, there's an element of nostalgia and its a cool looking robot.

See that's the thing, I'm not either. I watched first series as a kid (Not sure what amount of seasons the original Zords were in) but I recently tried to rewatch..... and it's God awful :lol:

I'm only in it for the original Zords robits, namely the Dragonzord. I don't see myself getting much beyond the white Legacy Titanus, and (long shot) Chogokin Megazord.

Trust me, I've been on the hunt but he is probably going to cost me 4 to 5 times what Reddy did :shock:

Which... kinda leads me to a point. And a story. TLDR :lol:
I had a visit with one of my sisters a few days ago who recently moved into her newly built house. And damn, was it nice. I started to think about my own house. It's nothing to sneeze at, but it's older, requires work, and isn't really what I want or where I want it. Thing is, I could be living so much better.... if it weren't for the toys and my lack of discipline. I do whatever I want, but little of it is actually "good" for me.

This house.. just feels like there's something with it every day. I'm sick of it. And y'know, I could have fixed every problem with it ten times over at this point because money isn't an issue. Aside from the fact that it all goes needlessly to toys. So I've formulated a plan.

I'm still going to buy new toys. I think it makes sense to buy the new stuff while it's readily available and at retail price. But I'm going to try and cut out everything else. All of the eBay stuff, Mandarake stuff, ect. Then I'll just save every buck I can and pay off everything. Which admittedly is just one pretty low credit card, and my car loan. The car has less than 2 years left, and in that time is when I plan to make all this happen. But on top of that I need to do all the things I shoulda done with this house too, namely get a new furnace.

So yeah. I'ma work, save, fix, buy as few robits as I can, then get a new house built. Time to grow up.

That sounds like a reasonable plan, Shaj. A man's got to have hobbies to stay sane - and priorities to thrive.

As much as I'd love to have a collection of MPs, I had to prioritize the ones I wanted -- there's simply no space I could display them without my 4 & 6 year wanting to play with them.....and they're not really meant for that. So I stick primarily to CHUGs as a result.

This hobby only recently started again in the last couple of years for me -- after quite a lot of other life events. ;)

If you're planning on house projects, perhaps you need to build dis!

Totally. But my hobby hasn't been doing me any favors lately, it's been a crutch. Not to mention the joy it brings, is fleeting. I'm don't mean to imply that the hobby doesn't give me the happies, but there's a cloud over it because it's gotten out of hand.

Remember how I said the next few months are insane, with all the Takara preorder's coming due? Well... if that's ALL there is on my horizon (along with off the shelf Hasbro POTP figs) then... it feels pretty doable. And while I do want to keep up with new stuff, I'll be strongly considering any new preorders that pop up before I pull the trigger.

Get some high shelves if you want MP's ;)
But seriously, I think C/G collecting is great. I mean, I collect everything but 3P Legends scale, so my C/G collection is vast. MP's are a work of art, but you can't play with them all like you can a C/G.
