Crambo, that story is an inspiration to us all. Crime doesn't pay, and 5 leaf clovers are great signs of adventures to come!

Good thing you didn't get to TRU earlier! That guy may have knocked you out for one of those Crackers! They would have been carting you away in a Crambulance!

(...I am really sorry for that pun, but I came up with it in the shower 20 minutes ago after a long 12 hour day serving as a paving inspector. I'm exhausted and I almost killed myself with laughter)

And yes, Infinity Wars! Holy Shirt!

I tweeted so much about Infinity wars after I saw it, non-spoilery mind you! Have a sample:

https://twitter.com/boxofficemojo/statu ... 5661153280

https://twitter.com/SpringAwakeFest/sta ... 1316342784

And in case you don't want to read, this is the funniest thing:

Sorry Crambo, but Infinity War was so insane I wish I could talk about it in person. I could go on for hours

Dr. Strange does a thing and states two lines of importance. That's all I'll spill!!

While I wouldn't say Dr. Strange is the key, He saw what the key was, and his actions following what he said previously about 2 individuals says to me he knew what he was doing, and a certain someone must now figure that out ;)

I misspoke. He's the KEYMASTER!!

In other news, it has been brought to my attention that there are some dope freaking MP figures coming. Therefore, I am faced with a dilemma. What stays, what goes.

You may say, "But Cram, you already have a sale thread, isn't everything on there that is going?" To which I say to thee "nay"!! There are things that I haven't listed that I'm holding on to for whatever reason. Maybe I thought I'd like them more eventually. Maybe FOMO > regrets. Regardless, I'm going to be taking an EXTRA hard look, as I need to generate funds for these new MPs!!

"But how will you decide?!"

Well my friends, therein lies the difficulty.

Let's take voyager Classics Jetfire as an example (brought up in convo on D-Max's thread yesterday). I took him off the sale list, and grabbed him out of the bin to potentially bring him in as a deskbot. At the same time, I had MP Prowl off the shelf whilst discussing things with Cobotron and carytheone. I then determined I like figures like MP Prowl much more than figures like Classics Jetfire. Same size-ish, but one I could never ever part ways with and one I've decided is not as much fun as another similar sized robot.

Yes, I know, mainline isn't the same as MP and can't be compared. What CAN be compared is the FUN I have with figures of similar size. Examples of figures similar sized to MP Prowl that aren't MP? TLK voyager Megatron, SS Thundercracker, TR Galvatron. All of those figures are most likely safe as I find them fun and worth holding on to, for me at least.

Maybe it comes down to posability = fun for me? That backpack in standard config on that Jetfire figure just throws his balance off terribly. Generations leader Jetfire does it better. Big time.

So, for me, that particular Jetfire is replaced on two fronts, fun factor compared to similar size bots, and a newer better version that happens to be larger.

Now, that may go the other way too! I had Human Alliance Bumblebee, and I have deluxe AoE Bumblebee. I preferred the deluxe for fun factor, so I sold the HA. I actually prefer that AoE deluxe even more than the rest of my available similar sized Bayverse Bumblebee's now that I've customized him, so odds are, they are all going.

Then it gets in to characters. I have a ton of Bumblebee's (well, not as many as I did have, thanks Ironhidensh). MP Bumblebee is the best version of G1 Bumblebee for me. AoE deluxe Bumblebee is my best Bayverse Bumblebee (until I get my hands on MPM I'm sure..). RiD is my best Aligned Bumblebee. So, errything else is superfluous!!

It kind of gets murky with Optimus Prime, Megatron/Galvatron, Starscream, Hot Rod/Rodimus. Other than Bumblebee, those are probably my favorite characters. Do I need multiple versions of them? In some cases no, which is where I'm taking the fine tooth comb and deciding who I reaaaaaaaaaally want to have around and who can go to another home that will appreciate them for what they are.

Then there's characters which I never had before from any line that I finally have and will probably also not part ways with. TR Brainstorm, Mindwipe, Weirdwolf, Chromedome, Skullcruncher, Fortress Maximus, etc. It's crazy stuff.

I guess I just needed to get my thought process written down for feedback. Anyone else go through this kind of stuff?!

While your thought process is good Crambo, I might toss something else into the mix: what the figure means to you.

Are there any figures in your collection that are special or even super special, even if they aren't that good or really that prominent? Take those guys into consideration too, it's why some figures like my movie 1 Megatron will never go

Oh yes D-Max, there are figures that aren’t gonna be touched, like the entirety of G1 or BW Optimal Optimus or Hasbro MP1 Optimus. And then a bunch of MPs..and probably my G1S1 Decepticon shelf (with the exception of Apollyon swapping for Megatron?!)

Why thank you sir!

I hate to play favorites, but this guy has been with me a lot lately. It's a battle between him and Age of Extinction deluxe Bumblebee for my favorite Autobot deluxe I think.

Drift is really neat. I like him, and he was an excellent addition to the Lost Light crew. The one thing I wish he had was a A-stance with his feet, it would make him so much more stable

What to sell, what to keep - no one can answer that other than you.

How about sharing that dope paint job on Drift's sword. Also ankle tilts are over-rated :-P

@Irondensh - So Binaltech Smokescreen is a never sell, but what if you could only keep one figure - what would it be? yes I like to keep bringing up this question

He is really neat. I'm ok without the a-stance feet or ankle rockers. He's becoming something of a project though..

Dope paint job on Drift's sword? You mean the one that I did last night after work on a whim as I was annoyed with the Reprolabels?

Share it with the people?!

Maybe.

Yeah, I'm all about Waffle House right now on the sales. Waffle House.

I can't keep just one, I'm answering that for myself though.

Cool and interesting choice D. Great figure. Wish I had picked him up on clearance all those years ago. I have the standard release and he's probably my favorite Movie toy I own. that's not counting some of those non movie characters like Bludgeon and Sea Spray, etc.

Any particular reason?

Mine used to be MP OP because I always pined for a G1 OP when I was a kiddo, but I think now it may be MP Soundwave because that's always my fav G1 character/figure in my minds eye.

Nightwatch was my first Optimus Prime figure, and a birthday present from my Aunt and Uncle (Uncle is no longer with us) from 2008. Despite having gotten many more OPs since, including much more screen accurate ones, the transformation on Nightwatch is so fun, I love the colors, he is as posable as I want and need him to be, he has a firing missile, and even after all these years, his original batteries still work flawlessly. He is fun, and he's special. No figure can really beat how cool he was to me as I was turning 13, and that has really stuck with me, much more than any other figure I own.
