Very nicely.

My urge to fill the holes with 3P is pretty big. And I have succumbed a number of times, but it's really a case by case basis. Also Takara continues to surprise me, releasing MP's I never thought they would. Sunstreaker, Shockwave, Primal and Cheetor. And yet. I still go out and buy things like FT Phoenix

Should I have more faith in Hastak? Or should it be the opposite, do I give them too much credit? :-?

For me, it all depends on the figure. If I like it, I get it. I could actually complete seasons 1 and 2, but I'm not a fan of all the offerings out there. I also have no Shockwave, as I have yet to see a decent (imho) version.

Not really, no. I'm waiting for maketoys, Badcube, of Mmc to make him.

I may have a sickness.

Me: "I'm kinda disappointed in MPM Bee, so I'll wait and try to find MPM Prime in store."

Me: *just bought MPM Prime from The Chosen Prime the second I got the available notification.*

I also bought the Iron Factory Starscream to get free shipping.

So you're just like the rest of us?

Padding an order is the only reason I got that iPad Soundwave.

And I'm not terribly surprised you're giving him a shot. You always seem to want to test the waters.

I like MP, but I'm having a lot more fun with the latest Generations figures. I'm super excited for Power of the Primes, and my excitement for MPs are waning.

So do I now have the sickness instead?!

Huh, funny considering until last December I had no MP's and now I will have 5 by the end of the year. I'm waiting for Prime to come in stock at TFSource and the wave 3 TLK voyagers before I ship them with Bee. I'm looking forward to some movie MP's

So was I. I think within a few months I bought 8 MPs to my 3 or 4 Generations figures. Now it's a few Generations figures a month to no MPs!! Last few I bought were Acid Storm and Sunstorm on the eBay at the end of last year!

Slacking on the MPs..

This past year just had several MP's I wanted, and some great generations figures. Movie, shattered glass, Japanese exclusives. It was all cool, and still is

Due to a family member needing a place to stay, and some personal decisions on the hobby and my collection habits, I had to close down the Robot Room. Boxed up and stored a lot, and gave a lot more to my boys.

All that survived were a couple of my favorite MP figures on a shelf.

Our guest will only be with us for a year at most, but I don't know if I'm going to set back up. What do you do when you stop seeing your collection as a collection, and just a bunch of toys you at 25 years too old for? How do you get the magic back, or am I just in a massive slump do to the utter lack of anything interesting coming out?

Sincerely,
Confused in Indiana

This ... this is sad to see. I doubt any of us have an answer for you, I guess it just comes down you trying to find that drive to collect again.

Maybe the year break will do you good, or maybe, you've just reached that point in life that leads down another path.

Tis sad. But no one can tell you have to live your life. Hell, when I was hard into comics I thought that not only will I never quit, but never get tired of it either. And both happened. My habits stayed the same Though, only my interests shifted.

Oh noes, why are we all at the same crossroads?!

I think a year may work out in your favor. You'll have time to decide what specifically you want to go after! I hope all goes well and you stick around the boards!!

Why yes, yes I do appreciate. :-D

IN other news, many moons ago, I prefer ordered an item at a great price (60 bucks), and promptly forgot all about it. Last week, it showed up in the mail, kinda giving me a reminder of what I still love about this hobby.

Big guy, simple yet sophisticated at the same time. If I ever put a Masterpiece shelf back up, which I do think I'll do one day, this guy will fit in well. It is the Unique Toys version of Springer.

I think as far as my collecting habits go, for here on out, I'll only be getting MP style figures (and Optimus and Starscream figures) for myself. Regular, mainline figures I'll buy for my children. I'll also be slowly giving all of my regular figures to my kids as well. It's time for me to share the love of this franchise with the next generation.

Yes! Random mystery package for the win! Next time you get down, I'll just send you some 3P MP to keep you inspired

Now THAT, seems like a good way to go. ;)^

Like religion and cigarettes, hook 'em while they're young. It'll be a deliciously vicious cycle
