So the interview thingy went well! I got a little more info from Finishline about the project. It's actually a part of an eight part series for a show he is a part of on the local public access station. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Maybe I can even post it here when it's done.

The best part though was just chillin' and hangin' with Finishline in the 'Tron. He's a good dude, and it's always nice to hang with a fellow fan who can go deep on the topic at hand. Haven't had TF convos that intense in person since Cary and I crewed up at Botcon. Well, the Brotron and I go deep often too.
There were lots of figures here he had never handled, and he brought those two MP I mentioned above. Of course they are both way better in hand. Cheetor was nice and the beast mode was better than I thought. And HOLY ****! Sunstreaker is amazing. The transformation is beautiful. So delicate, and so many moving parts, but not tedious or annoying. Pure TF sex on a stick! Even the head is better in person (shajaki's over here all, "told you so". >:oP ) I will definitely jump on whatever Diaclone version they give us, and if they don't (but they will) I will go ahead and get Streaker.

Seriously, I'd wanna come over and play too.
UNCLE JAK!!!!
If only Bros. If only. It would always be a party.
I wish I farted money so I could just jump on a plane and do a tour to visit all the TF Bros.

SureShot18 wrote:It’s good to see the ‘Tron return to its glory. ;)^ And the documentary that Decepticon Finishline is working on sounds super cool!

I couldn’t help but notice Glamdring and what appears to be Theoden’s sword hanging from the wall. Those made me wonder, is the armor on the table from Middle Earth too? Either way, awesome stuff all around. :APPLAUSE:
That is Herugrim, Theoden's blade hanging on the wall in a scabbard and frog I made special just for it. I also made the armor and wear it in a few different forms as part of my Renn Faire costume. It could be from Middle Earth if it needed to be! I did pull a little inspiration for it from the Rohirrim. But it could fit into any fantasy situation. One motto I live by is, Don't just dream the fantasy. LIVE IT!

Speaking of Cram. He and I made a little trade that should keep the empire out of here for good, and his end of the deal showed up.

Alternators Mirage

Oops! Forgot to get that hood tabbed in all the way.

My goodness! What a gorgeous alt mode! this fig is great. Maybe the smoothest (easiest) alternators transformation I've experienced, and that's a nice thing. Bot mode is really cool too. Nice articulation compared to some Alts. Love the head sculpt. A neat variation of the OG which is one of my all time favs. I like the little pistols. Sometimes the Alt's guns can be pretty goofy. The Repro Labels are nice too. They really help make him completely Mirage. Very happy with this guy. thanks Cram-a-lama!

Image

Question though, Cram, Jak, or Burn, if you're listening. Does his chest peg in in any way or does it just float there? And is there a way to get his backpack to hold a little tighter or is it just loosy-goosy by nature?

Image
Teamed up with the only other Alt. I have on hand at the moment. (thanks again to our boy Burny!)

Collect-O-Cobs, over and out!

Thoes Alts look fantastic, Cobo -- you plan on hunting down more?

I can't stop admiring your shelves of sweetness! :)

Yo Bod! I have a good handful of Alternators. I may be tempted if I can find Hound at a good price, but I think I'm kind of done with them. Of course I say that, but you never know. Some day they'll get their own little shelf with MP-01 as their Prime.

Glad you like the set up. Wish you could put your eyes directly on them. In person.

I love MP-01; the Alternators will look great backing him up!

Just wondering - are the Tronettes ever tempted to try their hand at posing dem bots? Or do they know some things are for Cobo Prime only? I haven't quite found the balance, but perhaps it's cuz my youngest is a 4 y/o boy who loves these TFs as much as we do....

Ha! I'm just happy you were able to handle one. Imagine if every TF collector could take the TF's for a test drive BEFORE the bought them?
But now you have confirmation, he's great, and can buy without worry ;)^

Oh man, Alt Hound is another goody. Very much along the lines of Mirage. Simple, fun, posable, ect. And I bet you could get one on the cheap.

However that Doccy makes it to the public, make sure you post it. The great Cobo needs to be shared with the masses!

Great question Bod. I have the shelves kind of organized with the ones I would want them to play with within reach. But MPs and more ridiculous "off limits" stuff is up high. They really liked all the legions guys because they were nice and easy, but those got packed away. they also went through a phase where they would have me t-form all the BW stuff into beast modes so they could play veterinarian using rockets and guns as their doc tools.
My youngest, Violotron is 3, and she goes nuts for the Star Wars stuff I have out and accessible, because she's convinced she's Rey! :x

My nephew, Calmega Supreme, same age as Coratron, my oldest at 6, goes nuts for this place. He has committed the rules of the 'Tron to memory and can recite them at will. It is amazing to watch how he modifies his behavior to play in here with Uncle Copie. I's are dotted, T's are crossed, man he just straightens right up, and he knows it's all on the line and doesn't want to do anything to screw up his chance to enter Robo-paradise.

All in all, my kids are pretty good about the 'Tron, and the number 1 rule is, nothing in here leave here.
4 year old boys are their own beast though. Boy energy can be a force to be reckoned with!

@ Jak - Ooooooh Sunstreaker. Those legs! those sexy bot legs. Whew BABY!

And depending on the formatt of Finishline's little piece, I might just post it here. ;)^

That's genius, Cobo -- I like that the Tronettes & other family members know the rules. Isla-o-rock (age 6) asks me to transform bots for her, but is pretty careful with them. Jetrock (age 4) is a natural at transforming bots, but within reason -- he can transform TR Overlord no problem, but can get frustrated with CW Legends Shockwave (to the point of tears!).

So maybe in the next year he will be ready....I might've screwed up by starting him off with CHUGs instead of Rescue Bots. >_<

And isn't 3 just a magical age? Their enthusiasm for things we share with them is the best (TFs, video games, 80s movies, etc.).

After all, aren't we just raising kids to be people we'd want to hang out with now & later? ;)

Yes! So much fun, but also so much work. Learning to control your emotions is intense. So is learning what emotions even are!

You said it, Cobo -- their emotions are one thing, but the way they stir up ours is definitely intense. They certainly teach us a lot about ourselves.

I tried watching an episode of Beast Wars II with them the other morning. I had to read all the subtitles but they liked the bots! My son put Scuba on his birthday wishlist. ;)

enough kid talk ;-)

The 'Tron is looking nice. One day we will all have the biggest, weirdest adult sleep over. But first we need to divvy up who's bringing what.

I love the look of the Alternators alt-mode, not so much the bots. Hound can be found in good shape for around $20-25 and pops up on transformerland all the time. That's probably the only other Alt TF I'd want.

All of the things!!

Glad Alt Mirage is ticking all of the boxes for you. I actually pulled him from my Autobot shelf, HE WAS ON DISPLAY!! WHAT WAS I THINKING!! :-( :-(

It's ok. I'll be fine. Rodimus is wearing that mold well, so at least I still have him. I'm thinking I will need a Mirage at some point though..! Can't wait for the Peaceful Tyrant!! I'm sure he's gonna be the knees bees.

It floats. I thought I said that? Must've been in a dream..! There's two little notches on his central hood that port to the pectoral plates. Just floaty though, and if you move the shoulders upwards it breaks the chest
