Thanks guys! This is an exciting time for me and the whole crew who have worked on this thing.
There might be another opportunity to support if this round all goes well, but you can still support in other ways. Those views and likes on youtube are equally important.

I had sent an email to staff, and that's how some of our staffers got involved. I'll try to keep y'all in the know who frequent this joint too. ;)^

Twist Va'al's arm and see if you can score a news article.

I don't see why we can't have some "feel good member news" now and then.

You could have some of the usual suspects complaining about it...for the sake of complaining. Hope you remember all us little people when you get to the top cobo  keep up the good work mate :-D

You know what they say? Don't **** where you eat.

I dunno, maybe. Maybe I'd see if Va'al would be down. Or maybe once the whole episode is done.

In other news...

Awww yeah, the Decepticon Twins! That's certainly cheaper than the TR boxset, and they're together like they should be. ;)^

What's at the top of your list these days, Cobo? I think my Beast Hunt is coming near its end. And I'm growing impatient over the lack of Moonracer here in OR.

Oh man, there have been 0 sightings of anything wave 2 in all of Canada, so that sould make you feel a bit better. The actual date these toys should be on the shelves is end march, early april so I wouldnt be too worried.

And I know it wasnt asked to me but I hope you dont mind if I answer what I am looking for these days. Its not much, but finding them at the right price will be tough:

Beast Machines Battle Unicorn
Prime First Edition Optimal Prime
Beast Wars Neo Heimlad
Energon Ravage
United Windcharger
Beast Was Sonar
Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Prowl

None of thes are crazy rare, but so far I have not found great deals on them once you factor in shipping to Canada. That Heimlad you guys found for me was a good price but that shipping killed it. And BM Battle Unicorn has become this rarity on e-bay and was never released in Japan so even mandarake wont help.

Also, I wouldnt mind finding a BWN Stampy and Break for cheap. Its not that I need them badly but I have the actual animation cells from BWN of Break, Stampy and Archaix and put them in my daughter's room. So every night she asks me who they are and what they turn into. I have Archaix but not the other two. And unlike First Edition Prime, I cant find these in a thrift shop.

Oh Will, you gotta get Stampy! He's easy to transform and adorable -- would shipping prevent you from getting his Sonokong VS pack? It generally goes for ~$20.

I don't have Break either, but I bet he's easier to transform than Big Convoy and Mach Kick! I still haven't properly transformed my Universe Nemesis Prime to woolly mammoth (half-assed it for pics, but there are so many gaps!), but Mach Kick was a little easier to get right. ;)

It's getting harder to find Heinraddo for a reasonable price -- he's a great figure, though, and I hope you can score him for a reasonable price. And hope you see wave2 soon!

Shipping is free for that one, but the exchange rate is inhibitive for m right now. Its like we are back in the clinton era where I could only order 1 box of legos from the magazine due to how much it would be in CDN$. Judging by how many there are out there, I think its safe for me to wait a bit for my dollar to grow stronger and get him then. He isnt high on my priorities.

Thanks for the nice wishes, I hope you find the toys you want soon too!

Hey Cobs! Nice twins! I consider Wingspan to be the best of the 4 ones. He's Awesome!!!

@Will, I actually got TM2 Prowl from Seibertron himself for like $12 after he cut me a deal last year I think. You should talk to the boss man if you haven't already, see what he may know. And that Prowl is awesome btw, if a bit weird but fun

Observation: Will compared the State of His Union as "like the Clinton era". It's odd and interesting that someone from a country outside the US would compare their own countries economic state based on another's economic state based on the term of their leader. I get it. I feel like Burn has made similar comments, but I guess it's easy to forget, when living in it, the US economy sets the precedent for the World's economy.

Just interesting. That's all. Was Canada's economy suck during Clinton? How was it during Bush? Pretty good, right?

bodrock wrote:What's at the top of your list these days, Cobo?

Right now? Really just completing PotP. No older figures I need to hunt down. I mean there are always older figs I could hunt, but nothing I'm dying to have.
And honestly, after PotP, I think I kinda need to be done. Or significantly slow it down. I have been going balls to the wall since Combiner Wars, and I am feeling fatigued, and am out of space for all the things. Not running out. There is no more room.
I really want to switch out of mass acquisition mode, and really just spend time enjoying what I have. My goal was always to build the best Neo G1 collection I could, and I think I've done that. Plus a ton of other stuff!
The thrill is fleeting, but I've been collecting for years, and I know how it goes. In waves. I think I'm entering a valley. Which is fine. The valleys are were my battery gets recharged.

I could see myself picking up a few things here and there. The occasional MP, and I still plan to follow the Diaclone reboot line.

But with the cartoon thing happening and the new job, I need to pull back on the collecting and focus my energies on these other things.

I can hear my Mom's voice in my head. When I would whine and beg for a new toy, she would say,"You have enough toys. Play with the ones you have". I have a lot, and they need my playtention!

I still haven't opend those Con Clones. Tonight Ima chill, pop in Thor: Ragnarok which I picked up this afternoon, and crack open those Clone beasties.

I dont know if the economy was good, I dont know how much its related to the exchange. Might be opposite actually. Like when our dollar is low thats when the US buys more of our lumber and thats a good thing for the country as a whole.

But as a kid buying from the lego catalogue and as a grown up asking good friends to buy exclusive toys in the US, I just look at the exchange. And yes, when Bush was around, our dollar was sooo good, it was stronger than the US dollar. It actually stayed strong during the obama years, doing really well in 2010. But it sunk back down. It either goes on par or goes to 77 cents on the dollar (which is what it is now, and in the clinton years).

And yes, while I am canadian, I do see eras through a US lens. Up until our latest Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, no one cared about who was leading our country, not even Canadians. So much stuff is centralized and not dependent on who is leading (like healtcare) that it ends up being muddled. The US is far better defined and the periods are either 4 or 8 years. Canada can be indefinite.

A lot of what we do and see in Canada is the same as the US. Our preferred music might be a bit more guitar based and lyrical, but we still listen to whatever you guys listen to. And when it comes to films and sports, we watch whatever you guys watch. A "canadian film" feels as foreign to me as a film from New Zealand. We are neighbours and your biggest trading partner, our lives cant be too different.

Though we did have our own version of Sesame Street with Luis the french canadian otter.

That Dinobots pic makes me happy, too. :)

I totally get where you're at, Cobo -- I felt it with gaming, previously, before I started collecting TFs again with Combiner Wars (the last one I bought before CW was G1 Trypticon back in 1986).

There was undoubtedly something special about CW that drew us back in -- I have many fond memories of the Scramble City combiners, but didn't have them all.

I s'pose the sub-lines since have all catered to nostalgia and our desire to chase after it -- I mean, more articulation means cooler poses! We have a Titan-class Devastator who scales better than ever! But I feel like I'm winding down with the hunts as well. And that's cool.

I'm with ya on collecting PotP -- I'm not sure what the next line will provide, but the Geewunner in me only wanted CHUG updates (and a few MPs!) for my faves (and to get those others I always wanted!), and I think I have most of 'em now (except G1 Scorponok & Bludgeon!).

I'm looking forward to more cartoon-action, Cobbes!

I can totally relate to that. For me, gaming just ended as a past time when all the games coming out seemed to no longer have any story and require you to play with others online. It was so odd too since it was just a year or two after The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite which had rich stories for a single player experience. Almost as if the game industry did a mic drop and then moved onto something else.

These days I only play on the DS. Still enjoying myself and finding gems, but its a different experience than first/third party console games.

I burnt myself out on gaming, well this was a couple of years ago now, I was about 65% through getting all the consoles (basically I had all the easy to come by consoles and it became a matter of tracking down harder ones like the neo geo, or a working atari lynx and jaguar) The problems rose trying to get time to play on them but my attention was already been split between everything else so they just ended up being sat under the bed along with a lot of unplayed games. Eventually, I realised that I was just buying and buying and not getting anything out of it so I sold them on to new owners who, I hoped, would have time for them. My tf collecting hit the same wall but I'm trying to pace myself this time round, and just collect for the fun of my headcanon as I add to it. Being an aspiring writer it's helping my imagination :-D

love that shot of the dinobots, still think it's a shame that they couldn't work slash into volcanunis but when I eventually get them in may try and fiddle something together

Ooh ooh!! I wanna talk about slowing down!!

I've been pumping the brakes HARD lately. I picked up a few things with Christmas gift cards (and Christmas returns) but that's really been it in a while. I did some figure swapping with my bros to get some new feels without paying monies, and that wasn't a bad thing. Maybe something I could get into more of.

I think I mentioned to Cobotron and Carytheone before of "enjoying what I have", and Cobotron mentioned that quote from his mom. It's true. There's only so much time in a day to actually enjoy the figures I have, and I feel like I have too many to actually enjoy. I was looking at my current display (which is partially blocked by a giant bin of other Transformers) and wondering what in the bin ALSO needs to go. I've always wanted to have representations of characters either better than their G1 toy or because I didn't have their G1 toy, but that has turned in to multiples of specific characters and then other characters I didn't ever think of before. I feel like some areas it's gotten out of hand, which is why I'm reeling it back in and selling off a bunch.

As for PotP, I'm kinda just looking for the Prime Masters and Blackwing at this point. I think I'm good with everything else, as much as I would want the Dinobots and the Terrorcons. Crazy. I'm sure they were insta-buy a year and a half ago.

I too am feeling the waning interest in the TF realm. I think that collecting TFs took over as a hobby from games while I was mentally taking a break. The shift of focus to multiplayer and samey same sequels/prequels really just burned me out.

After playing Samus Returns on the 3DS and BotW & SMO on the Switch I'm fully engaged in gaming again. It's nice to play complete single player games with a healthy does of old school while still embracing modern gaming sensibilities.

That group dino shot though! I can't wait to find the wave 2 dinos and put a pin in PotP ;)^

Did my first hunting in about 3 months this week, all we gots on pegs is wave 1 :(

I've been feeling lately that I don't need EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME, now that my random eBay acquisitions have been all but eliminated. However, I still find myself very interested in the new stuff being released. Not only that, HasTak has been surprising me with stuff I didn't even know I wanted. Like, Legends Class combining Battletrap?? He wasn't on my list, I barely knew he existed, but hell flippin yes!

I figure if they continue surprising me with neat new stuff, I'll still be buying.

But how many are there of such gems to keep one interested in gaming? I am giving myself a few years for more to pile up.

There's a few. I mean, I'm a few hundred hours in to Breath of the Wild now. Sure I completed the main quest but I can't put the game down! I've heard the same thing about Odyssey.

Have you noticed a pattern here? All those "gems" are by Nintendo on Nintendo systems. Systems that don't prioritize online or achievements/trophies.

But as far as your question; can't answer that nor do I intend to try. I wasn't trying to inspire you to play games, I was simply stating that I understand where you are coming from. I've taken my break from gaming and I feel that my batteries are all charged up and ready to go again. I've just recently discovered a wake of plastic behind me that needs tiding up.

Take a break, clear your head. Games don't have expiration dates, they'll be there waiting patiently on your return ;)^
