With all the Gundam talk at the Den of D, I decided to knock out a simpler project from my back log. It's amazing I could pry myself from Breath of the Wild long enough though.

Gen Grievous is incredibly large and imposing with some odd interlinkage. The way he is built and linked up forces certain movements and poses that just look creepy and really match the unnerving presence that GG had in the flick.

So awesome. so BIG. So want!

Thanks for humoring me. She might be able to, not sure, we have a maybe functioning sewing machine in my desk. Well it is a sewing desk.

Well I think you should say screw lego Grievous and go with this bad boy.

True and the Bandai one is much smaller. The Lego BaF wins on scale alone. Even hunched over he is about 11" tall. I think standing as straight as possible he may just reach over 12"

like what I did there?

Aww hell yeah! You got one and put him together! I got one too, and dang you are so right! He is huge, imposing, well and interestingly built, and great! Eventually, he, my Gundam, my Voltrons, my Gypsy Danger, and other miscellaneous robots will be displayed together. He will be beside my Star Wars Transformers and other awesome robots.

And I love how the arms work. It's quite interesting

Found him at Dirt Cheap with everything except the instructions. Good thing we live in the information age. There is a lot of interesting mechanical movement going on with this guy. I kinda feel his rubbery light sabers should vibrate though.

I got mine at a big clearance price last year I believe.I wish his lightsabers could vibrate. And he really is unique in my collection since there is nothing else built like him at that size

Wow, GG looks so good!

I've always wanted that TF GG -- do you gave that incarnation as well, Cary? He certainly wouldn't look as good as that....

No that's the only Grievous I have. I don't have a lot of SW stuff. Now which incarnation are you talking about? TF GG?

You guys know I am a very tolerant TF fan. Maybe the most tolerant. And while in theory the Star Wars crossover sounds fun and cool. They were possibly the very worst TFs ever. Saddens me really.

I'd like to air a few Grievouses.

Now that being said, I am very interested in the new Takara take on the crossovers. I saw that new Falcon that got front paged today, and got a serious case of the gimme gimmes!

Well that explains my confusion. I didn't even know there was a TF Grievous cross-stitch bitch more or less two different ones.

I've been keeping an eye on the Tak SWxTF and while they look better than the previous releases, I'd never say they look good. On a generous day passable maybe. Rarely do crossovers pique my interest. I had about week where I really wanted the SFxTF figures, but have since forgotten they exist until right now.

Sometimes the wants are just puppy love.

I will say, I have the Death Star/Darth Vader figure and he's is pretty rad. I also have a Legends size Obi Wan I like a lot, but any of the others I "thought I'd try" are lost in the bottom of a box and all but forgotten.

Obi lives over here in my Unicron Trilogy shelf. I should dig out Vader foar shirts and gurgles.

That Chewie in the new Falcon looks dope ballz to me though. A giant heavily armored Wookie warrior? I'm a lookin' and I'm a liken'

Wookie warrior, that really rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Just feels good to say.

I got a bad case of the boogie woogie Wookie warrior boogaloo!

Speaking of odd crossovers, I've never understood the Marvel vs Capcom games. I spotted this nightmare fuel target exclusive Ironman vs "Mega man" the other day.

Looks like Mega was constipated and hit the sliding glass door on the way to the can.

LMAO

OK, TF GG doesn't look nearly half as cool as what ya got there, Cary, and I totally get why Cobes can't even even -- but it should have worked! They're only fresh in my mind cuz I've seen some MISB recently at vintage tou shops but always pass them by -- I don't think they're BEASTLY enough for me, at thr moment. :PREDACON:

I hunted for the Darth Vader TF last-last Christmas but ultimately didn't pull the trigger -- mainly cuz it wouldn't have arrived in time. I wouldn't mind seeing how he measures up (or doesn't!) against Unicron. ;)

You're right about that Mega Man! WHA HAPPA?? :-?

That new Takara Vader didn't really interest me, but the Falcon has.

I have the original Falcon along with that ground assault Grevious Cobs posted and the Boba Fett Slave-I. Neither of the latter 2 were very good, but the Falcon was fun for Chewbacca, until he started coming to bits.

XTransbots MM-III Mini Hoss aka Gobots Road Ranger

How about something something slightly less Transformery?

So I've been eyeing this guy for some time now and picked him up on sale at BBTS. I had Gobots Road Ranger and liked the look of this update. He's a redeco of XTB's Huffer/Pipes mold. His hips and shoulders are loosey goosey and he has one hell of a backpack, but still manages to poses well. It's not the most inventive mold, but gets the job done and I like it. Moving the cab around during transformation is a real pain and most of it doesn't really tab in (in either mode), but still manages to hold together. Shoving his arms in the cab for alt mode is annoying. Anyway cool looking dude, fits the bill and gets my seal of approval. ;)^

You can also flip the cab around like this. I think this may be my preferred look.

Image
Image
Image

The mufflers can be removed and used in various different ways. You can attach them to the arms facing either way or make two different looking "super" weapons.

Image
Image
Image

The weapons store either under the truck or jammed in the trailer hitch, but neither pegs worth a **** so I just skip.

Image

Alt-mode!

Here's a neat carry over from Huffer/Pipes. He can haul MP-10's trailer. Which I don't have at work :(

There you go, a third party Gobot ;)^

HE looks pretty fun. Love the engine parts blaster mode. Chromy good!
Also love the derpy GoBot head. The derp might have been the best part about GoBots, but it took over 30 years for me to come to that.

MVC is awesome! Well... 1 & 2 anyways. Once you get past those it becomes a maelstrom of insanity, seriously akin to a cartoon dirt cloud with random fists and feet routinely popping out. Ultra combo's that have 3 dudes jumping out doing earth ending moves all at once, it's so hard to follow. Then they introduced the "simple" mode. Turn that on, and you can perform said combo with one button. No thanks [-(

Road Ranger! I had a handful of Gobots as a kid, and he was one of them! This MP is pimp. It's a pretty crazy throwback that's for sure. Best look by the way: hood down pipes up ;)
