Cram you should run back and re-post your Shockwave pic in the challenge thread. It got eradicated during the Kremzeek purge.
(I may be able to use my Mod powers to move it up a couple posts, so it looks like nothing ever happened.)
That is a nice little sentiment about your Dad. Sorry to hear he has left this earthly plain. My Dad passed when I was 13. Not to get too heavy, but it has a lot to do with why I collect. Holding on to what was an awesome childhood and all that.
So lots of Rods and Galvs. I'm guessing TF:TM is your fav TF time period. Are you moving your collection to mostly represent that era?
Also I noticed there are no Beast Era bots on "the list". This pleases me greatly.
They are on their way sir! I'll send you the tracking
I did re-post the pic, so no biggie
I feel the same way (about collecting). Dad always told me to be me, and knew how much I loved mechanical things and electronics. We watched Transformers together a lot, and he always seemed genuinely interested/excited when I found a new figure or filled him in on the mythos. I'm sorry you lost your Dad so early, it wasn't easy at two days before my 22nd birthday, I couldn't imagine it happening sooner.
Enough of the heavy metal war!
G1 season 1 (not so much season 2, but yeah to season 3) and TF:TM are my absolute favorites. I memorized TF:TM when I was a child (from watching it countless times), and I can't tell you how many times a week I'll run through the movie in my head. Collection wise, that's where I've always wanted to focus, but then something shiny would come along and I'd be like "oooooooooh pretty".
I love Optimus and Megatron, but equally love Rodimus and Galvatron. I think I liked them even more after watching Headmasters. I'm very sad that my TRU Rodimus is falling apart on his backpack hinge of all places. BUT, I think I've renewed my love for Energon Galvatron
