Flying car mode is cool and I love that red paint job. Makes me wanna get the KO.

Makes me regret not getting her at the time she was like $40 for the real thing.

Pretty sure you can still find her for that much D-Max. She dropped in price, where Loudpedal never has!!

I've been trying to do that recently. Sadly, the pin on mine is really tight, and I haven't had much success.

Do you have a pin punch, N? Also, make sure you’re pressing from the correct side!!

Sadly, no. Do you know where I could acquire one?

Also, make sure you’re pressing from the correct side!!
I'm pretty sure I am doing it from the right side, since I watched a YouTube guide for doing it. I've been pushing on the same side that Opelouis (the guy that made the aforementioned YouTube video) did, but I haven't had much luck.

I picked one up super cheap on Amazon, I’ll find you a link tomorrow. Don’t necessarily base it on one users experience, look for the end that isn’t super smooth!!

You can get a cheap pin punch kit or even individual ones at any hardware store or maybe auto parts store. Amazon is good too.

Alright N. Because I'm great, I took the pin out this morning in under 10 seconds!

First, I put the bot in plank mode so I could snap some pictures, here's the pin I'm removing.
Image

This is his LEFT shoulder (from the robots perspective).
Image

And here's his RIGHT shoulder.
Image

Initial guess? The pin will come out of the the left shoulder, being pushed from the right shoulder. It's recessed deeper and there aren't any scuffs around the outside.

I guess I was right!
Image
Image

That's after two "pops" with the pin puncher. It's an automatic recoil type, which means when you press into the pin with so much force it does a quick retract and punch. It's really nice.

Here it is on the 'zon.

So all I had to do was grab the knurled end with my pliers and voila!
Image

Super easy to "undo" as well. Pretty neat though that I'll have both bots independent!

You are indeed great ;)^

Yup, always push from the non gnarled end, least have to work way harder, tear up your toy, or not even be able to get the damn thing out.

I like that spring loaded pin punch action, I'm only familiar with the solid use hammer type. Nice!

It's pretty nice and has made short work of all things I've done regarding pin punching!!

Ewwww! I gotta get a pin punch like that.
I have a counter sink punch like that for finish nails, and have tried it, but it's too big for toy pins.

Thanks Professor!! ;)^

Fo sho bro!! It's really cool. Made quick work of that Primo Vitalis upgrade for CW voyager Optimus Prime, and this. It took me longer to set up for the picture than it did to actually pop the pin. Did it right on my desk in the office, didn't have to have a hammer or awkward support or anything.

Wow, that's a much better price than I was anticipating. I may have to grab one of those soon (since it would probably be helpful for other mods).

I feel like you could find similar ones for less probably, but I know that one works

So, Saturday I found nothing but this guy when I hit up the cheap stores. And by nothing but this guy I mean only this one of this one figure. I was pretty happy, but it ended up being a very sad Transformers hunt day.
Image
Image

What's that white line on his left most horn you say? A stress mark. More on that later.
Image
Image

Using the random joints, he's pretty posable.

Back to that stress mark. His left arm popped off opening the package.

It hasn't stayed on well since.

I've been basically trying to create space for the balljoint out of the torso to connect to in the socket on the shoulder. The other arm pops off and on BOTH balljoints just fine. A nice little "click" sound when it connects. It looks like the other joint was just manufactured wrong. It was basically a solid U with no indents for the balljoint. Very sad.

I don't think I'd buy that one, although he's the right colors. I'd go with leader combo bot one!!

Oh yeah, the one made of two bots.yeah I've heard he's a mixed bag but looks fun.

He's just a Prime Predaking wannabe ;)

That Prime Predaking ended up being the crowning jewel to my Prime Con collection. Still need Airachnid and Sky Quake though. One day....
