Gonna hit up the Amazon.com today, got me a gift card I wanna use and I gotta find me some PotP stuff!

I'm also gonna ship out my BBTS POL. I cancelled Firage, for about the same reasons as I cancelled MP-36: I don't care enough to spend that much. A new movie series deluxe of Dino? Yes. $60 3P: nope, he's not that important to me.

But, to make the shipping and final price of the Ramhorn wave more worth it, I did pick up an older figure that is soon to go very well with some PotP figures coming out. Care to guess which fig got added at the 11th hour ;)

and then, After the criminal treatment of my favorite combiner, I broke him out for some fun:

Still far and away my favorite combiner, and my favorite combining toy.

As a bonus, have some Wreckers minus a few on other shelves and with a bonus Metroplex and Roadburn

I do have a TR Getaway! But he is currently serving as siren, with Getaway's own head riding in the little Siren vehicle, which is a gun right now for Siren.

and funny enough, before getting Getaway, Siren was paired with Defensor as his TM partner/gun!

I still love this combiner so much, he is my favorite, one I could never pack in the back or not show prominently.

In other news, I now have almost the entire Wave 1 PotP line coming to me! The only 3 guys missing are Grimlock, Rodimus, and Optimus. I got the rest between HTS and Amazon, and thanks to an amazon card for Christmas, Starscream was free!

Hey guys, I found a guy who works pretty good with Ramhorn!

I give you: Hardhorn! or Ramhead. Take your pick

Also, Ordered Grimlock today since his price went back to its normal value on amazon. So I will have all the PotP guys save the leaders by next week! We are gonna have some combining fun!

I think I'll stick to "Hornhead"

And then, these guys came yesterday:

Image

Gotta say, they are all pretty sweet! Jazz's alt mode is to die for, and the rest of him is pretty good too. Slash is adorable, and Beach is pretty fun. Windcharger is OK, but I like the character. And the decoy suits are awesome! I can't wait to get more of them.

Also, Jazz works incredibly well as an arm. He really shows how they stepped up their game for this line, with the robots themselves being very good and more original while mostly concealing their combiner nature. And they still make good limbs.

but while looking at Jazz's packaging, I don't know if I just never noticed this brought up before or not, but it has Jazz as part of the Elita-1 Combiner

Image

And then we have a Daddy! And a Cousin! moment

Nice! Another Jazz-fan! I kinda want to buy another one in hopes the car mode fits together properly.

I didn't notice the Elitabiner... she does have 4 girl limbs thought right?

In the picture, Moonracer is the left arm and Jazz the left leg, so it's a mixed team

I'd say Elita and Starscream are probably in the same boat as CW Cyclonus and Scattershot: take one - just made of rando members. I'm sure they have "official" teams built around release dates. Hell isn't Volcanicus's official team made of the wave one deluxes? Sorta Uncle Hasbro's tight lipped anti-spoiler movement. I'm guessing there will be plenty of double dipping officially.

Elita's team so far is: Moonracer officially and Novastar (or something like that) leaked? Do we even have rumors of the rest yet?

Alright, so a minor update you guys have already probably seen elsewhere but I forgot to post it here, so here is the recent haul and Megascream! and I think Starscream works amazing as a combiner. I'm intending to use Dreadwind, Blackwing, Blastoff, and a spare 3-wheeled Dragstrip as his limbs eventually. I was hoping to stick to robot mode, but his combined mode has made me love him. Megascream!!

Thanks to the fewer lines this year, now I can patiently wait to find Rodimus Prime at retail and I can enjoy my current figures, and I'll most likely get Optimus with SG Roddy so I can get him fast. Really excited for him.

Also means I can save up money for February, which will be a bit expensive since MP-40, LG-63, and war hammer bee are all set to be bought next month. And then Greatshot in March, MPM-5 in April, and MP-41 in July.

Still waiting on the studio series line, that is going to be fun!

On another note, I travelled to New York, only about 10 minutes from the Canadian border, yesterday for an interview and got offered a job. But I turned it down, it was basically a glorified salesman job with no company vehicle and no benefits, and I am an Environmental Engineer, so no thanks. But things are otherwise looking up, and the trials of last year are mostly behind now :D

That's some pretty awesome looking combiner shots!! I had Starscream, Jazz, and Slag in hand the other day and couldn't pull the trigger. I really like everything about Starscream from the knees up, and of course everything about Megascream mode.

I'm really excited for the Studio Series line, that new Megatron looks awesome!!

Also, a new job will be yours soon!!

I'm glad you looked it up, I couldn't remember either

And yeah, Scream has been a big surprise! I really do like him, the jet mode being the one thing that doesn't particularly work

So I got to playing around with some of the new heads/head thingys with Nitro Zeus, and I think Overboard works as a pretty good head for the body too!

I'm thinking ape face if it was color keys. I just really like that head sculpt. I also really like the look of the enigma drone  ;)^

Roar out, off the kitchen counter more like it. Just a bunch of Lemmings.

You're Dynobot team is strikingly similar to mine.

And Bubblewind

Gotta love Major Lazer 8-)

Today, on Maxy Builds...

So, my adventures were wide and sweeping yesterday... sort of. I had a doctor's appointment to see if I was going deaf, and thankfully I am not, though my ears are malfunctioning.

So after the long experience, I decided to hit up Walmart and a local Hobby Shop I haven't visited in ages, with a Sheetz run for an italian sub with boomboom sauce in between.

And here is the result:

Image

I just splurged some on Roddy in his own thread, but I need to talk Gundam here. For starters, I know nothing about Gundam other than that they are massive human piloted robots. And they are so cool. I have him and hawed over one for a while, and I wanted to support this little shop, so I got my first one ever.

First up, a closer shot of the box, with epic art
Image

Rodimus joined me for the 4 hour build that ran me up until 11:30 last night. And here comes the progress!
Image
Image
Image

I was incredibly amazed with all the skeleton work and with how it's all just snap together. The working bits are amazing!
Image

And finished!

Gah! I was expecting him to be a little taller, but he's amazing!!! Like guys, I can't describe it! he nails the Japanese mecha-anime styling that makes me so happy. I love the ornate highly stylized armor so much! And he can move like a bad girl!

I am so satisfied with my first Gundam experience. I think more kits like this are in my future!

And as a bonus, my new Autobot guard dog, Wrinkles! (she's not new, but the position she has started assuming as guard dog are)

Those gundam kits are amazing aren't they? I've got an unfinished one with the internal skeleton like that. It's amazing how all the pieces move and slide past each other. It's a lot of work but we'll worth it and satisfying. They are a tad bit small though.

After one it's real easy to want more. I made a deal with myself no more until I've finished the one I have. Procrastination at its finest!

They're incredible. I was amazed at how all the pieces meshed and moved. He has 3 different pieces that mode when he does an ab crunch! Lots of work, but so worth it.

The plus side to being small: they will take up less space!

I only want to do one at a time, finish it up before I even think of the next

Well, first of all I'm glad you're not going deaf! That's always nice!

As for Roddy, I've been really conflicted on whether or not I should pick him up. But you may have pushed me toward pulling the trigger...

And as for the Gundam, wow that is cool. I'll be building my first Gundam kit for a friend soon enough...
...I'm actually really worried about messing it up

There are all types of sizes and grades of varying complexity. I think mine is second from the tip or something. It's hard to keep up with all that. I'm close to finished but it came with a ton of stickers.

The articulation is insane. And all the moving pieces are a marvel to watch. Maybe this weekend with a little inspiration from a pal.

Also if you ever get customizey feeling the GUNPLA community is super helpful.
