Bird-dog looks fantastic, D-Max! I've had him in my sights so many times but didn't pull the trigger -- I think there was a part of me that still felt I might be able to hunt him down later, unlike with the imports of the Beast era that just seem to get a lot more spendy....the domestic releases are generally a lot more affordable.

What's still on your lists, SureShot & D-Max? My MP32 should be coming this week or early next, and then I will get an original Dinobot figure....or wait for a cheaper, used MP Dinobot in a few years. :MAXIMAL:

Bird-dog is one of my favorites, I simply needed to hunt him down!

As for what is still on the list, well, the current hunt, at least for a few weeks, is at an end, with this giant mamba-jamba!

Image

Came complete with box, insert, tie downs, and instructions. Oh man, I am in love with the Beast Era!!!

But, I intend to hunt down more here maybe starting next month. Transmetal 2 Jawbreaker is on the list, as is transmetal Cheetor, TM2 Tripredacus agent, TM Rattrap, and original Depthcharge and Rampage! At least those are the ones taking priority. And then PotP Primal and Dinobot to complete the cast!

So we got the first Thunderstorm of the year last night, complete with power outage, and then snow today (boo). But with that Thunderstorm, we had a chance to try taking a picture in front of a bolt. Didn't manage it since I never saw a bolt, just light in the sky, but I did get one with the light in the sky as the backdrop. Not the best, but I'm proud of the attempt. A picture without lightning in it is seen as a reference:

And Cram, wow! Sweet! Too bad I will be out of town that weekend :-( :-( :-(

TIGERHAWK!!!!

Lovin' all the Beast Wars love! It really was one of the very best lines ever, and still some of the best TF toys ever made.

I love getting something like this complete with box and everything!

Alright, lets give him some love shall we???

side note: I am super thrilled he has thigh rotation, that's something a lot of these guys dont have. Thigh and bicep swivel would make pretty much everyone perfect.

I prefer the back wings to be up, they make him look even cooler and imposing.

And here is a shot of my current Beast Wars shelf! Couldn't be happier with the progress. Can't wait to add Jawbreaker and other show guys to the shelf!

Love the Beast Shelf, D-Max. And wow, Tigatron looks super-cool. Congratulations on finding him complete as well!

Transmetal Cheetor is one of my faves -- we've had him since his original release, and remains our goto for the character. Of course, the original was good, the MP looks perfect, and I even dig his Beast Machines incarnation -- but his Transmetal form remains my fave. I hope you'll enjoy him too! :MAXIMAL:

Lovin the Dinoshots :x

And hot damn! Tigerhawk! I have fond memories of that toy. Him and Dragontron were case mates, and Drags was a mild letdown. And while Teehawk looks cumbersome, he's actually pretty posable and fun to transform. I just loved his hind leg talons 8-)

Hold up... where's Packrat come from? :-?

Tigerhawk is awesome, and I am very fold of his, and for that matter everyone's, ability to move! I think TM2 Dinobot is my favorite of the Beast Wars toy I currently own, just nudging the others out, cause they are all good.

and Packrat is from the Cybertron's Most Wanted boxset! Got the whole thing for $88 last November. He's the dud of the box, seeing as how I love the other 4 and his transformation is a pain, much more so than Rattraps for some reason.

Yep that’s the con! I haven’t gone the last two times but I couldn’t pass up meeting the Emperor himself. It sucks you won’t be in town that day. It’s a fun day outing for sure and good for a first con I think.

Tigerhawk looks properly beastly and I love the variety in the Beast Wars shelf.

FINALLY got to give Rodimus Unicronus some love, and he is definitely the better of the 2 Leader Rods, just because of those wicked colors and the Prime head. So far, he is the best of the 3 leader figures, with regular Rod in 2nd and OP in last. I felt so bad because I got this guy right as I moved in and then it took a week to get everything set up and then my Beast Guys came, so he was sort of relegated to my favorites shelf without much love despite how much I do love him. I wish my goatee could look as good as his!

That's awesome D-Max!! I can't decide if I want to pick up both "Nemesis" versions or get the regular. I think standard Optimus probably looks nice aside CW leader Megatron.

I'd go Nemesis versions Cram, Roddy rocks!

Here's my dilemma. I really want a definitive Rodimus Prime. I'm fairly certain DX9 Carry is that definitive version for me. Happily, a reissue is coming out soon and I may be able to pick it up for around $130 shipped. BUT! I could have all 4 leader versions (Nemesis/Unicronus and both standards) for not much more than that. And therein lies the dilemma!!

I really like DX9s Carry and I'd totally get the Reprolabels set for it too. I kicked myself for cancelling that order a few years ago (paid for it at BBTS but cancelled for credit before PoL shipped). Who knows. We will see what sells soon and I'll go from there I suppose.

DX9 would be my goto for Roddy as well, Crammy -- but I've really enjoyed PotP Rodimus!

I originally only planned on buying SG -- but he's the only one I still haven't found locally. And D-Max makes him look so good! ;)^

I'm really hoping things work out and I can pick him up Bodrock. I've had this Studio OX inspired picture of Rodimus Prime as a background or avatar image for years and I guess I've just best it into my head that it is the best version of him!! We occasionally got that look in Headmasters too. I think I'm becoming more and more ok with the size of his alt mode as well.

D-Max! I went to my favorite vintage store today and scored a bot that made me think of you & your Beast Hunt: Transmetal 2 Dinobot! He got one in over the weekend, and I had to buy him.

I noticed we have the two color variations for the mold as well -- I prefer your bone-colored one for "playing dead" purposes (like Killer Punch can!), but it's good to have Dinobot represented. :)

That's pretty dang awesome bodrock. I remember seeing that figure back in the day and liking it, I just never bought him. So now you guys are twins. Not in the Arnold/Danny sense, in the actual twins sense.

Twins! Good call, Crammy. :)

As much as I'd love the upcoming MP and tried to hunt the original Dinobot figure down for a deal, Dinobot II is certainly bad ass looking....and should fit nicely into my head-canon! :PREDACON:

Holy hell has Hasbro stepped up their game with the movie Dinobots. TLK Scorn was a killer and now we have this awesome Grimlock! Dino mode is really good, not perfect, but still really good, and robot mode is masterpiece level, it is beautiful and perfect. And he forms a bigger and more accurate T-Rex mode without partsforming! And the paintwork on him is absolutely gorgeous!
