2 Totally different cons, 2 totally different days.

For the record, Oilmaster is one of the Top 10 that I would never give up in my collection. He and Jetfire make 2...

Decided it had been a while since I had strolled around by myself, so I went on a store hopping adventure, had some fun, and made out pretty good I think:

Image

Seeing in him hand, I decided I didn't need Stinger, he's not a memorable character to me, really forgettable, so I forgot to grab him.

The problem of this haul is I'm pretty sure Iron Man is my favorite of the 4. And that is my first ever Spider Man figure. And i love them both. This Iron Man is so posable. I almost got the same version of Spidy, but he had no accessories other than a giant Thanos leg, and I will never buy all the necessary parts to make Thanos. so i got the $10 instead of $20 version, which was missing knees and ankle tilts, but had the Iron Spider legs and an Infinity stone. I want to collect 5 more guys so I can have all 6 stones, but Black Widow's face was so ugly in toy form. Still may need to hunt down the stones.

Image

Going back to the bots real quick: it struck me funny that Ratchet was the rare one. I picked up the only one of him I saw. I saw the other 3 deluxes and both voyagers at 3 different stores, but only saw a single Ratchet at Target, where I got him and Bee.

Rewinding one post, how is The Fallen? I need one, always kinda wanted one, haven't gotten around to it.

He's ok-ish.

Posability is irritating. He has a wrist swivel and lots of ways the arms can move, but the hands make most poses look not overly good. And he always always always looks like he's crouching cause of how his feet are, and they are like movie 1 megs with the feet that fold up when not planted on the ground. And they only swivel, no tilt or anything, so his legs don't really look good either. Also not head movement save looking down.

Alt mode is rubbish too, such an unconvincing Cybertronian Destroyer. Voyager movie 1 megs had a much better alt mode than him.

that being said, he is huge, and he is very movie accurate, and you can get him in 3 different color schemes. I got the nice orange one, but there is a black and a blue one, and the blue apparently comes with retooled hands and a spear, but is blue. so eh. I got this one for $18 a few years ago, and I don't think he's worth much more than that.

Not total shite, but definitely difficult to get along with.

Huh... well that's disappointing. And the blue one is actually quite rare and expensive :(

Yeah, he is sort of a let down.

I'm actually very surprised you did not comment on the man of Spiders

You know what, I saw that Legends 6” Iron Spider-Man figure and was peeved it didn’t have the extra arms!! I really wanted two super articulated Iron Spider figures (I have the Spider-Man Origins one from years ago).

I’m also on the fence about Ratchet..

Yeah, that peeved me off that the cheaper and less articulated one had the legs while the other had nothing. Still glad I got a cheap one, but I would have liked lower body articulation and spider legs.

And I think you're better off hunting down a voyager Ratchet. The SS deluxe is good, but I think I prefer my Desert Tracker one

Ha!

It's funny with Marvel stuff. As much as I love the Movies, I'm quite the purest. Any and all merchandise I have is strickly comic based. Not to mention, I got MY Iron Spidey quite some time ago ;)

Really? I rather liked SS Ratchet. Is Desert Ratchet the black one?

Oooooooooooo nice! I actually really like the movie look, and I prefer it to that Iron Spidey. But my marvel universe of choice, much like my TF of choice, is the movie line

No, he's the original with all the sandy/gritty detailing:

Finally got to and finished up my Gundam Blue Frame. He was the biggest pain to put together, but the results are well worth it! I love how his hips, shoulders, and head antennae can become swords, as can the isangard pineapple things on his jet pack.

Of the 3 Gundam I have, Barbatos was the most fun to put together, Quant has the best weapon, and Blue Frame may be my favorite overall

Looks nice D!
I love it when a model looks great with zero paint. Like that one.

How about a shot of all 3 of the kits you've assembled.
Gundam Team MAX!

And total, there are about 12 different things that become bladed weapons sticking off his body

I'll have to decide between that and the other Astray variants, but...I will have one. Eventually. The MG Exia is currently my priority.

That's a nice one. Blue Frame is definitely a pain to build, but the end result is gorgeous. The jetpack is pretty awesome too
