Yeah, he's a great set if you just want a good devs, or leave your figs static on the shelf... left absolutely everyone else out in the cold though...

Thanks. Like I said, nothing compared to yours, but I try. Anyway, this thread looks like a lot of fun. It'll be cool to hang out here. Thanks for thinking of me! ;)^

No prob, just keep at it, you'll get there if you can buy enough stuff :-P

The combined mode really isn't that different and that is the mode I really like. Plus, I don't mind the lack of articulation in the individuals as they are fun in their own regards.

and I love taking this guy apart and rebuilding him, it's a blast!

Just picked up Hardhead and Clobber.

I've gotta say, Hardhead is nothing special, but, damn, is he such an amazing, solid figure. The vehicle mode is reminiscent of the scorpion tank from Halo, so that scratches my Red vs Blue nostalgia, and the robot mode is just a nicely solid, chunky bot. The gun is dumb and useless, but, fortunately, he looks like a brawler, and the shoulder cannon looks great. Wouldn't mind a BMach tankor from this figure, complete with a tankor-shaped headmaster.

Clobber, is almost as great as Crashbash, it's so cute, which is doubly hilarious and adorable, considering it's Grimlock :x

(bet he has more self-loathing than BW2 Hellscream)

I really bought him for the sole purpose of replacing Furos, who is horridly wobbly in Hardheads' bot mode. The grey on Grimlock Clobber matches the grey on Hardhead so well, I feel no shame disregarding Furos - but I do wish they had gone more War Within and molded teeth into Grimlock's mouthplate.

Wouldn't that, by definition, make him something special?

Sadly, nowadays, that does indeed make him 'something special' :(

But seriously, he's just a nice, solid figure. I'd say clobberhead is a must-have ;)^

Yeah, got a great haul on Monday: Weirdwolf, Alpha Trion and Astrotrain! They're all so amazing - and completely devoid of any qc issues :x

Now for a run-down:

Weirdwolf: amazing in every sense of the word, Will was right, this guy oozes effort from every angle - like universe era effort - this dudes amazing, but his hind legs are a little wonky to pose in beast mode. His bot mode is amazing and his scimitar is great.

Astrotrain: really nails this mold, I would've preferred a better nova prime that managed to outshine astrotrain, but, sadly, that really isn't the case. The grey is amazing and all the various highlights really do make him shine - especially the ones on his feet for the vehicle modes, he's awesome.

A3: another amazing offering by hasbro, on the same level as weirdwolf for effort, all the paint work on his torso and shoulders, its great. The sword is boss, simple, yet excellent. love the head sculpt, I wonder if the Legends one will be the a3 from legends magnus turned into a head for some weird reason :-?
My only regret is that the designers didn't make a tail that flipped out from under his cod piece for beast mode - as that sword as a tail is patently ridiculous #-o
I love his vehicle mode, I'm a huge fan of flat-top style ships, so really like it. His beast mode is a nice display piece, and makes me excited for Lio Convoy's more cohesive alt mode's.

I'm a pretty big fan of that Weirdwolf, AND I like that his face has detail!! I have his gun pegged in on his hip, which just seems odd..

I may have to get Astrotrain, I just wish he was dark grey! Gray? Grey? The color that is the perfect mix of black and white?

Alpha Trion is tempting just because it's Alpha Trion and I don't have him.

They're both great, you'd love 'em both a lot, hasbro's greay is a great middle ground, I feel the show accurate grey is far too dark and obscures a lot of the sculpting, whereas the hasbro gray is just bright enough to really let the figure shine. and A3 is so cool, a regal beast mode, and a fun swooshable vehicle mode, you can even peg in a bunch of tm's to his flight deck (apparently, they don't peg in for me :( )
I'd say grab 'em both ;)^

They really are - it almost forgives them stiffing almost all of the other figures' deco's in the line - almost :HEADHURTS:

Dropped about $400 on obtaining some figures I've always needed.

Got me mp primal toy mode, legends tr black convoy, tlk voyager megs, legends lio convoy, it hurt my wallet, but it hurts so good, these are figures that I've always wanted.

TT just puts so much love into every release and it shows, strangely lio convoy is as well painted as tr alpha trion.

Also got the masked version of rid windblade, gotta say, this mold really kills it as a functional toy of windblade. The gen one is a mess of poor pin tolerances unfortunately.

NICE!!!!!!!!

Great stuff. Couldn't agree more about that Fanblade mold. I have the SDCC paint job, but a much better fig all around.

How do you like Primal?

EDIT: DAAAAAAAAAAANG!!! Check out all dem bins of Legos!!!!!

Yeah, the gen 30 figure was like a painfully shrunk down mp figure (and while I will be the first person to defend the figure on balance issues, the inability to move her wings without them breaking now is unacceptable) whereas the rid figure feels like it was the toy she was meant to be.

I love primal, but I don't like the shoulder connection to the body, those tabs scare me as they don't line up quite properly, and sound terrible when I transform him, which is why I don't - which is sad, but these aren't exactly toys. It's a shame his mask wasn't made of sterner stuff, it cracked in half when I tried to apply it and it slid apart under the curvature of his head, poor show TT :(

I love my Nemesis Prime so much, I've always wanted a classic-style black, teal, and silver evil prime, and now I have him.

Same goes for Lio Convoy, I actually bought him to complement my Nemesis Prime, the white knight and the black knight, as it were.

EDIT: DAAAAAAAAAAANG!!! Check out all dem bins of Legos!!!!!

Yeah, they gotta come from somewhere, I didn't even get the big tub in that pic either...

That shoulder conection on Primal is scary as hell. Mine has gotten a little better after transforming him a few times.

Total SUCK ASS about the mask, man! One of the best parts of that release. :BANG_HEAD:

I'm glad you like that Nemesis. I really like that mold, and that deco is always a winner.

Yeah, it isn't in pieces, but it is cracked from the forehead to the mouth, gonna try and put a bit of super glue on the back of it.

Truth be told, I didn't like that gimmick on the old figures, and would likely not use it on my mp, but, as this is my first mp experience, it is unfortunate that the highly touted mask is so fragile...

And man, is black convoy nice, if you have a chance to snag him, I say go for it ;)^

Having both lio convoy and scourge now, I know that I'd be filled with regret if I hadn't jumped on them. Like the kind I have where I chose bmach megs over magmatron, or air attack primal over rid scourge, the kind of regret that haunts me to this day...

It's also a shame that my gen rattrap that I was gonna put next to primal suffered from gps in his calf joint, that plastic sucks all kinds of dicks, every last one in fact.

Hey Cram;

A3 is really well painted, best of the tr line, easily.

I'm kind of tired of seeing him right now, the Target I work at only has 11 wave 2 voyager figures, so it's just a ton of a3 galva-crap, and astrotrain, let me know if you want me to mail you one

Funny that you mention that, Astro and Alpha are ones on my "to buy" list!! When I'm ready I may message you about them, thanks for the offer!!

I do like the White/Black Knight idea too. Best of the best!!
