I totally agree. He really has a premium feel to him. HC Arcee is good and all, but I wasn't floored. I was with Grotty 8-}

Dude! I know, his tm is incredible, it's got at least 4 colors, and I don't think these weird battle beast tm's are getting the love they should be from whomever recognizes them (Cobo I think) with Lione, Shuffler, Ramhorn, Twinferno, and now Grot, we've got five of these little guys running around, and they're so cool 8-)

You rang? ;;)

I love all the rando (but really not that rando) Battle Beast action we got in TR. So cool of Hasbro to homage such a tiny niche corner of Japanese TF mythos. Battle Beasts were/are awesome! I hadn't really considered Lione, Shuffler, and Ramhorn as such, but I will now. ;)^
Not sure why i didn't. Kinda obvious.
And I agree, Grotusque is a wonderful premium figure. I think Arcee is good too. A high precedent has been set, and I hope Repugnus can live up to it.
BTW, I totally think Repugnus will be a retool of Twintusque, and I'm ok with that.

what are y'alls thoughts and theories on Repugnus?

Well his tm vehicle is adorable, but the head is ugly as sin, his chin clashes with every figure I own, so I wouldn't really pay extra for it unless it's a great retool; but if it is based off of a terrorcon, I might have to get him, simply b/c: combiner limb, but I have no functioning :BOT: torso's that aren't dumb hotspot to use him on, f'ing silverbolt and his crappy cream plastic :BOOM:

As for Arcee, she was instock when I ordered grotesque, but I really didn't need her for anything, since I prefer the t30 version (she's still on display, alongside Nightbird Shadow)

His chin clashes? How so?
And yeah, he's not a great color match for ANYONE. I've only ever slapped his head on Getaway 'cause he's such a neutral Nelly, anybody works in him. I was wondering if they would sculpt a whole new face. But why, Hasbro hates spending money. [-(

His chin is just so massive, it doesn't work with anybody, but, yeah, he only kinda works with sentinel's body, but most of the voyagers are so disproportional to the tm's (save the lone voyager Octane)

Grotusque was a personal favorite of the year, and I am stoked to see Repugnus rumored for May. I will get him to complete my Monsterbot trio, who are some weird characters that I really like. I can see him being a Twinesque retool, but I think I would rather him be a Rippersnapper retool, which might be why Rippersnapper is in wave 2 instead of 3 with the other terrorcons so he is released before his retool.

Either way, I'm stoked. And then Repugnus can wield Repugnus as a weapon!

Beast mode didn't cut it enough for me to be fig of the year, think it's gotta be Overlord (for sentimental reasons, there's a story there) I actually wish he was anatomically closer to the art for him, love, love, love his beast mode head though.

Got the Dr. Wu weapon kit for tlk optimus, honestly think it's a must-have, it's so amazing, and harmless as a 3p item (and hearkens back to what 3p products used to be)

Still love that optimus, the eyes don't bother me, I don't hold him close enough to my face to find it offensive, from a distance, it looks like his eyes are glowing with energon, man, tlk was a great f'ing line (the new stuff anyways)

Finally broke down and picked up Rodimus on Wednesday. All the stores 'round me seem to have stocked up on wave 1 so, I figured I wouldn't be seeing sg rodimus anytime soon. I'm glad I did, he's just so much fun, and I love the way they integrated him into the rodimus mode, not just folding everything up behind him... I have no real connection or love for rodimus, but his space winnebago mode is just so great, I love it, it's so weird; and I love just how big he is, he's so big and chunky, it makes overlord look anorexic by comparison, like, where did all the mass and chunkitude come from in the budget? His alt mode has to have the worst turning radius ever though.

So all in all, his articulation is exactly as lackluster as I expected it to be, but he's even more fun than I anticpated (i just like carrying around his winnebago mode :-s )

That's really good news Hellscream! You and Cobotron seem to like him, I'm sure I will too. I know I eventually have to get him, but I'm glad I picked up the Black Lion at the time instead..although now I have to buy the rest of the lions. Not sure if I'll do that first or get Rodimus.

He's a great figure, kinda creaky, but just so smart and fun, but the voltron limbs are so random to find the colors, so, I'd say get the limbs, rodimus is likely to be revised anyways at some point.

He's got the "FansToys squeak"?! I don't own any but I've heard them squeak on YouTube reviews :lol:

I think he really looks the part, at least from the front view. And that space Winnebago mode is awesomely awesome. I will need to buy him. Dang it.

It's mostly in the big legs and arms which are large and hollow... but I still don't like it

Update, got sg rodimus on wednesday, and he looks great, but he doesn't tab together, like anywhere, at all. I've been working all his tabs with a knife, and he can turn into a car, but the space winnebago is still a chore to accomplish, and I'm afraid for the clear plastic stacks :(

So today ended up being pretty eventful, first, I got hungurr and elita-1 today, hungurr is amazing, I love him, his torso mode is solid and much more mass-ive than his mold-sake silverbolt. Elita-1 is alright, she has her feet on the wrong legs, and I tried to open her lower legs up, but some of the pegs are glued or something, so it was a no-go :(

Her torso mode is pretty good, looks better in person than in pictures; her stickers suck, and her shoulder ports are stupid stiff, it's really difficult to disengage an arm from her.

BUT, she is now my go-to :BOT: combiner due to all the others being so poor; wish silverbolts cream plastic wasn't utter sh|t :BANG_HEAD:

But, as if that wasn't enough (as I have all my cw figures strewn all over my room now from messing around with my new torso's) I just found the movie studio series at my local meijer, got starscream, and he is sooooooo sublime =P~

I'm somehow enthralled by a movie starscream all over again, haven't gotten one since the incredible leader class one, but, damn, this figure really steps it up a notch :shock:

And, can I just say, that, he's got arm joints for days 8-}

Nice roundup Hellscream!! I'm reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally looking forward to that Studio Series Starscream, I miss the one I used to have (RotF voyager) which I actually liked but sold it off to my nephew (for cheap, I'm not a monster). Let's see some pictures of the setups!!

So if all that wasn't enough, I just got all 5 wave 2 deluxe's yesterday, so I'm completely swamped beneath new figures 8-}

Sadly though, I've discovered that my hungurr has a soft racaheted arm, so his combined leg can't lift the weight of a limb :(

Gotta say, dorsal foot rippersnapper is great in beast mode, I love it so much, I like that the beast modes are given enough of a proper treatment that they stand alone on their own, they aren't just tacked on b/c the have to be.

Moonracer is nice;

Darkwing is pretty cool to go alongside Dreadwind;

But the real surprise for me was the brontosaur dude, his headsculpt looks way cooler in hand that pics would have had me believe, his beast mode is nice and tight, and the transformation is interesting too, as the only figure I was ambivilent about, I gotta say, he's up there at number 2 after dorsal foot rippersnapper

Unfortunately, my stego's tail is deformed, so the tail cannot close together properly, so that kinda ruins him for me, plus all those panels on his legs are such a pain to get locked together :BANG_HEAD:

Well, I've never had a proper magnus, and missing the rid pair is a huge sore spot for me. So, this is great, all the plus' none of rid magnus' legs; plus being able to trick everybody out with cog is the best
