This figure was one of the reasons Transformers grabbed my attention following my break from collecting, being a Britformer Deaths Head was a huge part of the reason I continued to read the comics, he was a dark and unpredictable character who never failed to impress or surprise.
Seeing that this had been made by MMC I was immediately interested due to their reputation, however was worried by pretty much every video revew I saw (especially Bobby Skullface's) so I decided to pass on him until he was either re-released or went on clearance. Fortunatly I was able to find him going cheap(ish) from a private seller and decided to bite!
As luck would have it I seem to have found a good one, weapons all tab in where they should without any modding and with a bit of patience everything tabs together well in alt mode. That's not to say he's without his problems though, he has a few stress marks around his tabbing areas, his head comes off too easily and there are some odd design choces, like how he can't hold his shield in bot mode and those wierd wing spikes on his forearms that would have been better attached to the alt mode wing assembly. I also wish there was a way to store all of his weapons in alt mode and if I'm being super picky I would have prefered Lockdowns translucent canopy rather than the painted yellow one Deaths Head comes with.
Despite the flaws I am happy with him, but only because a) I got a good one and b) I got a good deal on him. I don't think I'd be quite so positive if I'd have spent £120 on eBay and have a wing snap off on the first transformation, eh?
