Regret on not buying Universe, Classics figures in the past

Something terrible struck my mind when I started buying RTS figures. I should've bought deluxe figures of the past lines when their prices where on retail! :BANG_HEAD: It suddenly struck my mind that the G1 characters are popping up here and there with a newer and cooler look. It must have been nice to have figures from Universe, Classics, Generations, and RTS together. You'll clearly see that all of them are reminiscent of their G1 characters. It must've been cool! well anyway, now that I have some of them (Classics Rodimus, RTS Perceptor, RTS Turbo Tracks, Classics Starscream, and Generations Thundercracker), I'm planning to buy Henkei Skywarp to complete my season 1 seekers. Only problem is, the KO Henkei Skywarp is bugging me out! Can someone help me out on how to spot a KO Skywarp and the real deal?

I'm the same mate only just started collecting the G1 figures from classics/universe/rts/generations lines and have been paying through the nose trying to get the old figures.

The Skywarp issue is a difficult one. Optibotimus does a great review of the knock off seekers on you tube and explains how to spot them. As a rule if you find them cheap they are probably knock-offs. I am waiting to see if Skywarp gets released as part of generations line now we have Thundercracker. See you tube link below:

exactly the point! missing those toys during their retail makes you loose a lot of money when you buy them now. They're way too pricey!

I have the same problem, too. I stopped buying Transformeers from 2003-2007 (got back into it when the movie came out) so I missed the older Universe and the whole Armaarda, Energon, and Cybertron series of figures, and like now, there is so many figures I want (because I like the character) and they are like super expensive on ebay.

Good luck with finding a Skywarp. :D I really want one, too. Really bad. :-( But I've seen them over 150 dollars so, that's a little over my buget for now.

Thanks for posting this though. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who missed out! :CON:

I started on Classics during the Classic 2.0 2nd or 3rd wave of release. Was telling myself, "Buy the nice ones only..." but ended up buying all

So, the problem was getting the newer release AND hunting the older stuff was really :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD:

Leason learned - Buy on release!

150 dollars is way too pricey. I got back into getting figures when ROTF figures were out and I got back into the classics/universe figures when Generations line came out. Appreciate your comment :D

That reminds me, I wrote this a long time back:

living-and-dying-in-wal-mart-because-ebay-isn%C3%A2%E2%82%ACTMt-fast-enough-t13479.php

funny how relevant it is and how some of the prices that were crazy then, are 3x as absurd now.

Yeah, not getting Skywarp back then was sorta stupid, but I hated Classics Starscream too much to get in to the seeker molds. I even sold the Classics just before the movie hit. The result is me having to get all the figures AGAIN and ending up with six seekers, but no Skywarp. Double ouch for the wallet.

Acid Storm. Excellent seeker, yet not Skywarp.

Remember how I said I've seen Skywap for over 150 dollars? I remember going to Botcon 09 and I saw one for 49 dollars, and thought it was too pricey then. Talk about regret. :CON:

same here although there are a few i skipped and truthfully i dont regret. mainly some of the uni 2.0 ultras darkwind and onslaught just never liked them also hot shot, and cheetor dont really know why. even with the current offerings i could care less about the voyagers and will probably only get grapple only if i fing him on the cheap to go with inferno.
