So, quick question...

I transformed my SDCC First Edition deluxe Optimus to bot mode today and for the first time I noticed he has 2 right thighs. Doesn't affect transformation, just makes bot mode seem "off". Does anyone else have the same error? I compared him to my Entertainment 2-Pack Optimus. That one has a right and a left...???

Finally, have everything I have been hunting down through the years. At least until the TF4 figures are released. I thought I would stop in and update my pics. Thank you for checking the collection out. I hope you enjoy!

This is an awesome collection, my wife too hates that I have a few on display. I myself try to collect Megatrons, but only have about 5.

I used to have about 80 different Megatrons. I got rid of them just this last spring.

That's a shame. :(

But good to see you completed your collection before deciding it was time to let it go again.
I would contribute, but I am in a) the wrong country, b) the wrong monetary situation, c) too small a flat. Best of luck!

Super random question - do you mind sharing the dimensions of your shelves? They're super vehicle mode friendly.

Sure. I don't mind sharing. Each bookcase is (72"H X 30"W X 11.5"D). This would amount to over 30 cubic feet of Optimus Prime! I've actually added more since I posted this. I can't seem to stop...lol.

Thank you! One last question, what is the Prime (in truck mode) top left with the extra long trailer?

I collect Primes too but I only have 50 or so, just wanted to say this is amazing. What an effort!

Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. The Optimus in the upper left is just leader class Optimus from Revenge of the Fallen. The trailer is a fan made custom that I found on Ebay. Near perfect scale to the cab. I haven't seen another one like it.

Just for reference, this collection is nearly 200 strong.

Ah ok cool. Thanks for sharing and again wow. One last question, what is jewel of this collection for you and how did you get it?

Honestly, I don't know if I could name just one as the jewel. I would say I have a top 3. MP-10, ROTF Leader, and of course, G1. My G1 is the 2002 TRU Commemorative. I would say he was the hardest to acquire. It was the RID leader that brought me back into the Transformers universe, but that G1 commemorative was my first "hunt". I only heard about it by chance and immediately started calling every local Toys R Us until I found one in stock. Every memory of my childhood Transformers rushed through me when I got my hands on him and I've been hooked ever since.

At this stage of collecting, I am basically ahead of the game. I've covered an immense portion of any past releases. Anything new is generally easy to grab at retail if you have a great deal of patience. Any Asian market releases, I usually go through BBTS.com or wait for a good deal on Ebay. Due to demand and scalpers, etc., a deal on Ebay can take over a year to find but, again, it's all about the amount of patience you have.

Good luck with your collection. I'm glad you've enjoyed mine. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for that. I remember well acquiring my G1 again last year (after having him twice as a kid and obviously not appreciating him as much then). It was just as you said, instant throwback to my childhood.

Thanks for tips and slowly but surely, I shall have a collection I'm happy with :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Please enjoy the pics of my collection! It's taken me a long time to get to this point...oh, and a lot of money! Just ask my wife. It drives her insane. I was going to sell it all but I don't think I can part with it. I've decided to let the collection continue to grow. I will be moving everything back to my man cave once my brother in law moves out of the basement in a couple of weeks. I would like to do an upgrade to the shelving as well. Thank you everyone!
