I always liked how the Aerialbots were the first, and for a long time, only, Scramble City type combiner with matching colours. They're not full out Devastator or Piranhacon unified colourshemes so each bot has their own unique character, but they're not quite a jarring as some of the others. The individuals all have nice colours on their own too.

Meeeh, I'll wait for an official Superion to come out, hopefully with FoC Bruticus-level engineering. I'm a huge Superion fan, but not only is this hella expensive, but it don't have integrated hands/feet, and the aesthetic just don't do it for me.

Easy pass.

NOT an easy pass......

Looks like I'm on the hook for another hugely expensive 3rd party project. I may have to get doubles of some of these as I do love areoplanes and those Bot-modes are damn sweet - way better looking than some of the Hercbots and I bought all of those......

I understand the want for integrated hands and feet but have you seen FoC Bruticus' attempt at that? Asking for that level of engineering isn't asking for much.

I like the mock-ups but based on Hercules, I highly doubt we receive that many paint apps. Maybe reprolabels can help out once again.

That's a loaded question. Hasbro's designers didn't "attempt" integrated hands/feet for FoC Bruticus, they actually pulled it off. Whether it's for large hands/feet or small ones is up for debate, but they actually did.

And yes, I've not only seen FoC Bruticus, I've had the pictures up and examined them for hours in anticipation for the toy. (maybe it's a bit of an obsession, so what? ) I'd still prefer it over Uranus even if they were the same price. =D

They stored the Bruticus hands in two completely hollow legs without feet. Personally, I'd rather them not be integrated if that is the answer. I mean, Herc's right hand stores on Exgraver's back. It looks extremely poorly IMO, but it stores. I imagine TFC's Superion will include the same type option. Just personal preference, i guess.

Wow really? To each their own, but I imagine I'll assemble Bruticus once just to say I did, then immediately disassemble and display them as individuals. FOC Bruticus just doesn't do it for me, especially when I've already got the FansProject version on my shelf.

I haven't decided what I am planning to do with him yet. I am getting the SDCC version because I prefer the correct colors. If I still pick up the retail release, which I most likely will, I'll leave the SDCC version combined and leave the retailed releases separate. Either way, these guys won't be with my classics figures. I have the FP set for that as you said. I think I'm going to start a WFC/FoC shelf.

I'd even go as far as to say that FoC G2 Bruticus would have been my holy grail would I had not pre-ordered it already. It'll be the center of my collection, even considering MPs and such.

It's not everything I want in a TF, but it comes close. The official photos don't do it justice, IMO.

Don't forget, technically the retail version of Onslaught is the game-accurate one. :-B

So you admit FoC Bruticus isn't everything you want in a Transformer yet you'd consider it a holy grail? :???: Your collecting has some interesting standards. :-?

Well lucky for me, I'll be getting both. Maybe, I'll mix and match.. I get what youre selling though. I should have been more descriptive. I'm getting the SDCC one for the G1 colors. The bright finish on the retail version puts me off. I'm also hoping that the giant hole in the back can be covered up. I want to like the toy and I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, but, everything I've seen in person and photos is sub-par.

You're implying that there is a TF that has everything I'd want. There isn't. FoC Bruticus is as close as it gets.

Holy grail = best in existence. And if don't exist, why would it count?

I'm going out on a limb here and say that Onslaught's weapon can fit back there when it's not combined with the other weps.

Just a guess here, but I also guessed that Shockwave's gun could fit over his hand too...

Lets not take up the thread comparing robot Hero's to Masterpiece.
There is no comparison of FOC Bruticus to This. Hasbro's combiners will always be Hasbro combiners. Very limited in range, and articulation. That's why they are 100$ for a set, Vs. 100$ per figure.

Yes, there has been speculation about that since ToyFair at least. It's a shame we haven't seen pictures of it though.

I was going to tell them to get a room in the official toy forum too! :D Stop derailing my third party ogling. Keep it strictly unofficial here...

Okay, I know there was some comparison going on between official and 3rd party, so it works here. Was just playing.

I really want to see what Skydive looks like. Fireflight and Air Raid are good looking figs though.

FoC Bruticus' limbs look like they have far more of a range of movement than any 3rd party combiner. FoC Bruticus also looks like it has just as much articulation(sans hands) than them, if not more. 3rd party combiners are just too blocky to be that articulated.

Have you seen or played with a 3P combiner before? if not then there's not really an argument. One has to see both sides to understand the light year difference between the two, and why people are spending 500$+ on 3P combiners, and others pondering if it's FOC Bruty is worth 100$

FOC Bruiticus looks like a Someone threw down a bunch of random deluxes and said " eh, make it combine somehow!"

Where as Uranus, will no doubt be able to give you the finger, while grabbing his groin while kicking FOC Bruiticus's ass while laughing at his static hand, and still be in a standing pose.

Why are those people relevant to this?

It don't matter if you have them in your hand to know if they're fun or not. I've never played with a sock puppet, and I know I wouldn't enjoy that. Thinking that someone who don't have your opinion merely because they haven't experienced what your opinion is favoring is a fallacy.

RodimalToyota wrote:FOC Bruiticus looks like a Someone threw down a bunch of random deluxes and said " eh, make it combine somehow!"
That's your opinion. I respect your right to have it, but I disagree.

RodimalToyota wrote:Where as Uranus, will no doubt be able to give you the finger, while grabbing his groin while kicking FOC Bruiticus's ass while laughing at his static hand, and still be in a standing pose.
You seem to have a lot of emotion ingrained in your argument. That's fine, but you must know that I'm not your enemy just because I don't prefer these guys.

Look, I know your opinion is that you like 3rd party combiners most. That's fine. But it has nothing to do with whether or not the limbs have more of a range of motion than whatever.

Silverbolt(along with shockwave) is my favorite G1 TF, and Superion is my favorite combiner. I'm sorry if you disagree, but I'd just prefer G1 Superion with FoC Bruticus' engineering. You don't have to make it an issue just because I mentioned it in this thread.

Anyone who thinks FOC bruticus looks visually superior to Herc, Giant, Bruticus, or Superion clearly likes their Transformers to look like a mish mash, ugly mess of limited engineering.

*On topic* This new superion looks promising. I like the retro jets even if they are out of date.
