I doubt it. I think the digibashes on the first page are just showing both characters because we don't know which the one which isn't clearly Breakdown or Dragstrip is. I think Deadend and Wildrider will probably be different molds. The one on the right is clearly Breakdown-y, and I'd imagine Dragstrip will be fairly obvious, but the other two, in black and white, or grey, as the case may be, could be fairly difficult to distinguish. We'll see.

When images were first revealed during the con I remember reading that the bodies on these two would transform the same, just different alt modes. I believe it was also mentioned that the other two would be completely unique molds, but don't quote me on that.

I just did.

Yeah, that makes sense, they're not dissimilar, so some retooling on the chest maybe, and a different head, and alt mode, and of course a different paint job, easily doable. We've seen how good FP is at retools and repaints in everything from the Bruticus upgrades, the upcoming variations on the Insecticons and even just the many flavours of City Commander and Protector.

So all the design and fabrication work I did turning E Barricade into Motormaster last year was pointless? Ah, well. I'll be happier with these than I would have with that anyway.

So who's not getting the TFCC subscription service Breakdown because they're waiting on these? looking at BBTS's preorder it is probably more expensive.

Im not getting the SS through TFCC because the timing is bad for me. Im a Fansproject fanatic and this is a easy buy for me. Also don't let the BBTs pre order prices scare you. Those are going to be inflated because they are sub figures and not a store avilable figure yet.

Besides..a FP menasor?..sounds like a no brainer to me :P

After playing around with SteelCore, these guys are truly, a no-brainer.
Handle a Hasbro products, then a FP... brain dead if you prefer Hasbro.

It look slike Breakdown and wildrider/Deadend use the same upper thigh. Although the alt molds are different, the transformations are the same, correct?

Oh man... those digibashes really make me pumped for these figures... please let the real colors turn out this nice! Really like that first head for Wildrider.

Seeing the FP deluxe Insecticon retools makes me think we may get versions of these with cartoon accurate features like these digibashes. I could even see them consider putting reworked figures together in a boxed set like MT did with green Giant. Makes me wonder if I should hold off on getting these. Hmmm.... :-?

I surely hope so, but even if they aren't that accurate, I'm still grabbing them..... :KREMZEEK:

Not sure why the Insecticons part wasn't in my original post (I edited it and added it back in-damn Apple autocorrect) but you probably knew what I meant.

Anyway, we know FP will eventually do some sort of retool/repaint of these. If the heads shown at TFCon will remain the same for release 1, hopefully a cartoon accurate will be released down the road (some pun intended).

Oh, man! Why'd you have to go and throw a spanner like that in the works? If it turns out like the Insecticons, with the first release having the G1 colours and the second release being more animation accurate features, the G1 colours will take priority.

Personally I'm hoping the Ankonian mold is for Wildrider. It looks more like Wildrider in robot mode than Deadend. I wonder why they went with two Lamborghinis instead of knocking-off a Porsche or Ferrari design.

Maybe the figured it would be better to be sued by one car company than have three gang up on them.

Looks like they're about the same size as the FP Ninjabugs?

which I thought had been revealed before. I'm fine with it. They'll be about the size of modern deluxes, they'll fit in fine with my Classics, including Bruticus. They'll not cost a huge amount.

Not seeing any drawbacks to the size. I expect Assaulter is actually a bit bigger than the normal Voyager-ish size FP have used on Steel Core and...whatever Springer was called. That won't help the size comparisons. With a Voyager sized Motormaster, Menasor will be an okay size, especially if he has some big chunky feet.

I bought FoC Shockwave at TFcon and got a chance to compare the two. They are EXACTLY the same size.

Which is fine by me, really. That size is too small for Shocky, but the Stunticons are a different matter. Although it's kinda odd ... most of my Neo G1 Decepticons are smaller than my Neo G1 Autobots.

I would like to see some color prototypes already. I think TFC has changed our expectations of how quickly a quality combiner team can be produced. Fansproject needs to pick up the pace.

You obviously don't remember how long it took TFC to complete Hercules from the first announcement until the 6th members release.

Rushed product or wait for Fansproject quality, hmm. I want to see them in color but I would rather they be as solid as their other products first. A new Menasor is a dream come true for me. He was the only combiner I had in the 80s.
