So yeah... that's about typical deluxe size, though I'm sure it'll be beefy. Be interesting to see how the heads turn out being that tiny, I REALLY hope they don't end up looking stupid-big...

Has FP officially said this is headmasters?
Or is it all just speculation?

BBTS looks to be saying the pics will be put up on the 17th.
This must be already done, hence the box artwork is done.

I'm on the edge of pre-ordering with just one thing holding me back... the color scheme of the figure. I don't need an Optimus Prime colored Skullcruncher. If I could verify that this would be done in Chromedome colors I'd have pressed the button already. : /

TFSource is also doing the pre-order.

TFsource and Fansproject are partnering together to make a difference for families in need this holiday season. For each piece preordered by 12/18 we will donate $20 to the Salvation Army. We have selected a specific program that helps families in need during the holidays get Christmas dinners, clothing, and toys. We've worked with the Salvation Army in the past and know that this donation will truly go to families in need this holiday season.

The figure is a mystery four-wheeled figure that converts to robot and has two scoped rifles. Release date is approximately February.

Preorder by 12/18 and help a family in need! Note: this is not a retail price adjusted up situation, $68.99 is the regular retail and TFsource and Fansproject will donate $20 per unit ordered by 12/18 to the Salvation Army. Thanks everyone for your support! ~TFsource Team

UGC is also in it... http://www.upgradecommander.com/?pid=52836693

So, the first release will be Chromedome right? 4 wheeled figure with two scoped rifles. Sounds like Chromedome to me.

Image

It could be Minerva, though she has scoped guns, not rifles.

Pay $70,$20 of it goes to charity and you get the latest from Fansproject? Sounds like a great deal to me.

Final thought, wouldn't it be ironic if the released the Chromedome mold in pink and call it Arcee? Don't know what I'm talking about? Check out Chromedome on TFWiki.

With the charity angle, I preordered one.

I've spent more on less, and this goes to a good cause.

Any chance this can be front paged?
I know Ryan's disagreement 3rd party stuff, but this is a special case.

At this point, I'm not concerned at all about the look of the figure. Here's why:

1. It's for an AWESOME cause. My hat goes off to BBTS and Fansproject for this gesture. Thumbs way up!! :APPLAUSE:

2. It's Fansproject. I'm sure it will look awesome.

It is front paged in the BBTS newsletter.

Seems good to me. I'll hold off pre-ordering for a couple days yet. Confirmation it's Chromedome would be nice, but really, I just want to make sure I'm not going to be spending money I don't have and then will buy it anyway, even without the confirmation.

Nothing has been officially said. Yes, everything besides what the etailers posted is complete speculation. Mystery 4-wheeled figure, 2 scoped rifles, 5.5 inches in height, release date is around February. Images of the brown-colored packaging show the outline of a robot's face similar to Chromedome's with the title "Function-X1: Code". That's all we "know".

It's all pretty solid speculation to me if you look at all the pieces... I'd certainly put my money on it. Also, from what I've read, Chromedome is a programmer... so the name "Code" makes a lot of sense.

I don't understand the purpose of making this a mystery and asking people to preorder $65 for a figure they don't know. It would make far more sense to reveal the figure and get more people on board with pre-ordering it. The figure is slated to be released next month and no color photos, no name, no test shots, no size comparisons?

Yeah, but this is Fansproject. They have built a great reputation. I know that I will pretty much order anything new as long as I can get it from my e-tailer. (After the snafu with the TF Club, I tend to stick with what I know.)

Until FP produces something that is horrible, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Though, I personally hope they do produce something Horri-Bull... ;)

Guys, you really do make me laugh sometimes...
If there where no teasers, there would be NO news to report, so we would all be stuck with the latest Bumblebee repaint coming out from Hasbro or another dumb Micron from Takara. >:oP

You all know 3rd Party teasers are sometimes a puzzle, just get over it and get on with it! ;)

Anyhoo, if I had the cash I would pop for one a Fansproject Code (Chromedome). I remember having a couple of Headmasters and Targetmasters way back in the day which where fun!

Yet again the U.K. will take the fall on shipping costs, making this Deluxe sized figure approx. £65-£70 shipped!

You know what? There's just too many expencive things I want. And I have to temper my desire for cool robot toys with the cold, hard fact that I just don't really care about Chromedome all that much. If I had him as a kid, I'd probably be all over it, but I'm pretty firmly a Season 1 - the movie guy. The main desire for this guy is that he's a FP item.

Now, if they had done a Squeezeplay ...

Actually, there's two very expencive official items that I want coming out too.

TFSource's cheap shipping option is usually around $18, that makes the total cost about £50. Not too bad for a 3rd party piece. Or you could put in a larger order and pay the $40-ish shipping that gets you stuff delivered sooner than some UK based sellers, and split the cost between items.

Oh I've heard stories about what some people thought and did when they first came out. It's what many would call sacriligious today.

All that aside, I hope to see more from this era done, specifically the Horrorcons.

The figures are the news. How the companies choose to unveil and present the figures to us is downright insulting. Were adults shelling out big money, not babies. Show us the goods. And if you dont have a picture yet, then just tell us what you got planned.
