It's a definite 'meh' for me so gladly I can put the money into something else. To be fair I felt the same about the Hercules bots as well - there's just something about TFC's 'house style' that misses the mark in terms of my taste. Having said that, the quality and level of engineering that goes into TFC's stuff is great and I'm sure this set will do well, and deservedly so.

It looks fantastic, but I dunno if I need it. It's lot of money to spend and I don't have the same attachment to Superion as I do to Devestator (and I already have the FP upgraded Superion set).

It looks great, really, really great ... now show us the other bots already!!!!!!!

I want to put in my preorder, but not until I at least see Silverbolt.

would be a bit more convincing if there was a shadow of the blackbird along with the bricks shadow.

Interesting, not what I, and I think many others, were expecting from this one.

that looks quite alright, what i can make out from the small images. would love to see some bigger pictures.
alt mode is definitely a blackbird with robot undercarriage, but it's hard not to have that with such an alt mode. and how many of us are going to keep these figures in alt mode?

Yeah, that' looks terrible, if it was a 40$ figure, I'd understand the kibble.
Considering this is 120$ figure, I'm ashamed.
Oh well, I'll hold out for a FP or MT Superion.

Damn, that is kible-heavy. They could at least have bothered with landing gear!

Just a theory here. If you look at the second shot, or the first robot shot, there are no engines. I feel that the jet may come off the robot completely. Jet would be traditional black, for the SR-71, and the robot would be more traditional colors, to G1. Maybe in a follow up package(like Rage of Hercules, Winds of Uranus?), they would have the traditional Concord jet to put on "Silverbolt". Wishful thinking, maybe, overactive imagination, probably.

I can dig it. Wish they'd just get on with it and show us more!

Why can't TFC just make it all white with some red/yellow/silver/paint aps....

Just cause it is a Blackbird doesn't mean it has to be black....it would still look bad ass in white.

What would really be the big difference if this was an all-white blackbird jet, and not a Concorde...not a whole lot. They are both enlongated large jets...

It's not going to be an SR-71... Remember that there's going to be a 6th member, which was assumed to be the drone. It's going to be an M21 or at least an A12 with a Drone.

I like it.
At least as much as I can tell from the tiny, blurry pics.

I do want to see more though, but I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on the preorder.

Are these color renders coming from someone with connections to TFC ? Or is he just trying to make us feel better about the unpopular choice of the SR-71 ???

Necio is not directly connected with TFC, but most of his Digibashes have been used by TFC. Using the M21's color scheme will have ties to the G1 versions, and the drone itself has been touted/rumored to be the 6th member.

M21 is not the right model, that my friends is just the SR-71a variant.
It's a real paint scheme, rare, but real. it's a nice throw back to the Skunkworks era. Might have to pick him up, even without the others.

You are correct. That specific picture is an SR-71A with the M21 Drone.

This is the M21

If that is how Silverbolt turns out, Im getting excited again. The classics section of my display case is off balance with the cons having Hercules and Bruticus w/FP addons.

Unfortunately Superion will bump Voyager Powerglide out but that is an easy sacrifice.

Regarding the choice of plane, nostalgia aside, SR-71/A-12 is more to scale with the others and has military ties.

Really looking forward to how they turn out an AV-8B and F-16.

This is the one third party item, i wished they would sell in regular operating colors.

I'd more excited if the planes weren't g1 colored.

Maybe then can re-release it later in some dark greys and Olive drabs.
