Whatever the real world equivalent, I like that it is modern and tactical in appearance.

quite possible, or even a Sig Sauer Image

Walther P22, the small caliber version of the P99... Designed for shooting tin cans and punching holes in paper targets. The toy even comes with the compensator accessory:

I like this third party megs, though I'm not wild about the trigger guard "wings" on the back, and wish they'd used a heavier duty handgun for the inspiration. Megatron would be a Desert Eagle .50, right?

Alright, by the end of May I say we'll be at the 6 Third Party Not-Megatron count. Anyone else have any predictions about how many we'll have by May?

Back kibble's too big for a figure of this size. Not Classics Meg big, but big. And the TBFG (too big !@#$ing gun) is toooo big. Like ridiculous.

Pass.

I'm not a fan of Hegemon either, the more I look at it.

How are you guys judging the size of this thing... and calling it smaller than Classics Megatron? I haven't seen anything to gauge its size yet. :-?

But yeah, I'm hoping this guy is Voyager sized... else, I'm probably not getting it.

+1 for originality, +2 for actually looking like the gun it's trying to portray and -3 because it's still not pre-earth IDW Megatron.

Looking at the types of joints they use, the complexity and the sort of bulk of it, it's not that hard to come to a conclusion. The figure is also based on a Walther P22, a particularly small handgun.

And -10 for being yet another Megatron. Seriously, I'm begining to suspect 3rd party tf companies have got a hive mind going on. First the Devys, then the mini-bots, now Megatrons and Computrons? Isn't anyone EVER going to even ATTEMPT a Blitzwing?!

I like it, it's ugly and chunky and very dull looking.

KINDA LIKE ME! :KREMZEEK:

Looks more like a tank in robot mode, is that weird?

How about a +1 for still being a Walther?

Definitely want, but packaging it as a very realistic looking gun seems like a bad move.

Totally agreed on shipping it as alt-mode. Maybe theyll plug it with a removable plug??

Either way, I think everyone's being too hard on this. It's a spot on, updated, realistic Walther... and the alt mode fits best with the Classics aesthetics of anything we've seen , including Hasbro.

As much as I'd like a version of the comic, or a mini masterpiece... the top of my list would be something that actually fits with my Classics. :-?

This guy is really cool; it's probably going to be expensive though, and I can see the alt-mode causing problems shipping to the US. Hegemon is probably my favorite G1-styled Megatron released thus far, but this comes close. I'm kind of hoping for an updated Masterpiece Megatron, since I never got the original one, but I can't wait forever, especially with all of these other options.

LOL, I know this has already been resolved but I still can't believe how many people had trouble identifying the weapon make on this. The second I saw it just now I was like "WOW, an updated Walther PPK Megatron for the new millenium. Awsome!!!."
I guess I can understand the confusion. As a gun enthusiast myself, and a sci-fi, Transformer, and all things James Bond afficianado it was all too easy to recognize.
I like that it comes with a profile compensator and under barrel triggermounted laser site. I wonder if they'll put a working laser on it (I mean, it IS Asia (the kingdom of Airsoft replica's), so I wouldn't put it pass them even though that would NEVER fly in the states. I agree witht the others that have stated that this will no doubt have to be shipped in Bot mode.

Again, WOW. This is what Generations Megatron should have been. I still like the first 3rd party design so far of the original U.N.C.L.E Walther alt mode. I support Hasbro stuff but I would DEFINATLEY get this. I'm guessing it's gonna be upwards of $200+ upon release, anybody wanna bet? LOL

"Such heroic nonsense." :CON: :CON: :CON: :CON:

Correction, the laser seems to be slide rail mounted on the frame (under barrel).

BTW: That is not a silencer however as stated above. It's a Profile Comp, reduces recoil on a fully loaded gun to balance weight and help maintain tracking/accurate bullet placement, exhaust vents exit's gas upward etc

I'd still have to see one up close for inspection, but it looks like whoever designed this was not only a Transformers fan but def knew his s__t when it comes to modern sidearms(and lets face it, it was most likley a "he"). Also, because of the size of the fusion cannon in bot mode, I'd be willing to bet that the slide goes back in alt mode like a true funtional pistol. I wonder if it'll fire airsoft projectiles similar to the original Megatron (non American version). This is awsome and scary realistic at the same time. Kudos to the engineer team.... :APPLAUSE:

Fresh take on a classic concept: point
Gun Megatron: point
Keeping him a Walther: point
Interesting way to get a fusion cannon out of it: point again.

I really can't think of anything bad to say about this right now, when we see more shots of it, or in hand images from someone something might come up, but right now it's looking like all kinds of win.

Correction, it is a toy  Actually I thought it was a flash suppressor, but I only shoot other peoples guns and do not own a pistol of any kind. But I do use them in video games, so close enough. Am I right?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can ride shotgun in your Camaro and Dual weild two of these as we make back and forth passes outside of TFCC headquarters (house) just to reaffirm to Savage and crew just how irritated the fandom is with them as Botcon approaches. Don't worry, we wouldn't get arrested, NAAAAHHHHHHHHH! ;)^

I'm actually hating on this guy pretty hard. Am I the only one?

My problems with Glock Megatron:

1a. Cannon not arm mounted... dislike the hand-held/shoulder thing
1b. Cannon is WAY too big
2. Where's his feet?
3. Those hips... reminiscent of the G1 toy in a bad way
4. Does he have a face?
5. Back kibble up the wazoo (although admittedly it's no worse than Classics/Henkei/United voyager Megatron)

The idea of an updated, modern Megatron is nice, but I'm just not loving the execution on this one.

Sorry all.

From what I've read elsewhere, this is only a 3D render...and possibly just fan art

Translation for those still going on about this 'figure'...it doesn't look like it's actually another 3rd Party figure, but just fan art, 3D render style.

Maybe, but known 3rd parties have "announced" with little more than line art:

Yeah, I guess if I had my way... this guy WOULD come out with a scope to mount on his arm. I'm kinda ignoring the fact he doesn't have one, since I'd figure SOME way to kitbash one to mount on his arm. The giant fusion cannon IS fun, but only acceptable as a cool accessory AFTER the crisis of having something on his arm that looks G1 is taken care of.

Unfortunately, this WAS too good to be true. I appreciated the differences and choice made by this fan design SOO much, I think I just wanted to believe it was going to be made. Sorry for the confusion. But, it would not be the first time a 3rd party company produced a fan design, so who knows?
