Didn't another 3rd party already release a not-Nova Prime. Why the need for another one. Don't think a fiction only character like Nova Prime merits that many 3rd party toy versions. It's not going to sell well, so why bother. the other 3rd party company already grabbed the sales for nova, MMC is too late in doing another Nova. Why is MMC wasting time releasing 3rd party toys characters others have already released like more fembots and another Nova. MMC is too slow to compete with the much faster 3rd party companies.

Now there is a definate demand for 3rd party Over Lords. Due to HasTak and other 3rd parties not releasing a update toy of it yet. Over Lord is a much popular fiction and toy character than Nova is. MMC Carnifex will sell better and is more guaranteed of a success sell out toy. Why not just move up Carnifex ahead in schedule for a 2014 release. Waiting till 2016 to 2017 to release Carnifex is the worse decision this MMC company has ever made.

Hahaha , just because you want an Overlord now doesn't mean MMC have made any bad decisions by making a Nova it's not due out untill early 2015 .

As with every other 3rdp they just keep competing against each other , the only difference here is it's not in the same time period with any other company which will probably have gained it more interest by the time of release , plus this looks to be a hell of a lot better than MT Nova.

For all we know MMC Overlord could be out by the end of 2015 have some patients .

:-?
Hmm, MMCs own flyer shows a greyed out trailer. Would they be so daring as to relase both parts separately...?

Oddly enough, I'm not really feeling this guy. Maybe because he's not flaunting some serious wing-action here in these teaser pics. I'm just not intrigued enough by the design.

Agreed. Neither this or their Seraph Prominion figure is all that interesting to me

I love this design but maketoys filled my nova need. Ill probably treat this as prima since the star saber and matrix are present. A3toys has a video of the prototype in hand if anybody wants a more in depth look.

That sword looks awfully similar to that Dr Wu matrix sword - or is Dr Wu's old offering supposed to resemble this?

I skipped the Maketoys version waiting for this.

Glad to see it is still coming out.

Think it's very bold for MMC to release so many niche, Non 1980's Updates toys like Nova Prime and the DJD. Wondering if these will be sales success or sales flops.

I've been luke warm on the character of Nova Prime. I got the MakeToys version of him and I'm happy enough with the figure, even though he's not front and centre on any of my shelves. I know there are those who feel differently, so I think this toy will do ok, but not stellar.

The DJD on the other hand, are loved by almost anyone who reads the IDW comics. I suspect they'll do well.

Think MT grabbed the bulk of the Nova Prime toy sales. So don't think they'll be much demand for MMC's Nova Prime.

I'm glad this is being released as well! I wasn't thrilled with the Maketoys overall size for Nova, but it had the IDW flavor I desired. This mold is gonna help kickstart my 13 Primes/lineage of Primes shelf!!!

You're absolutely right, this does have the right aesthetics for a TF Prime collection! And with that, I think I'm back in.. :-?

I'm not sure that he meant TF Prime, but rather the 13 historical primes from the comics history.

But, I agree that the aesthetics would work for a TF Prime collection.

Mine will be going in Classics, but it'll hopefully work for several lines.

True, but the Aligned continuity is what cemented and actually gave a nice visual line-up of the characters. That's what I was thinking of when I posted.

In any case, it'll work for those who get it, with no doubt! I still have to think about this one over the DJD figures coming out, as I definitely want a Vos first. :D

I'm in the opposite boat. I'm a sucker for winged bots, so Nova Prime is a favorite of mine.

I'm interested in the DJD stuff, but I have not been following the comics lately, so those characters have less meaning for me. They have cool enough designs though, so I'm interested in them.

I also am prioritizing nova, since MT's version didn't do it for me. But I will gladly buy DJD as well. I'm not nearly up to date on the comics, but I know I'll get there eventually.

late to this thread. i think he looks good. but im not a fan of the rounder edges. ill bet this guy is more bang for the buck though (hyper novae was reeaally expensive). at the end of the day, im still happy i have MT's nova.
