Was likely never interested in the figure to begin with and was just looking for a way to make money off it... which is sad, but not unpredictable. Just wish I'd had the funds to place an order for my own Steelcore when I had the chance.

Think they'll have a second release in the near future?

When Worlds Collide!
Pictures like this show how awesome transformers (unofficial) and Transformers (official) can work together as one and not be segregated because of their manufacturer.

Actually that trailer is also from Fansproject, but it was designed for an official product.

On a different note, I do hope that they re-release this figure. The more I see, the more impressed I am and the more I regret not picking it up. I'd even take a black/nemesis repaint.

So this is finally sold out,eh?

In one way I'm a little sad I missed it, but it really doesn't fit into my collection. It's just cool.

Not sure they're shipping them based on order numbers... but if so... yeah, you got yourself quite the wait.

I WILL say though... this thing is AWESOME... it's everything I wish Defender was, which was a total fail in my opinion. I've zero complaints with this guy though so far... he's beautiful and absolute quality. I'll cream scream if the rumors of a trailer for him are true.

Got mine today...FP seems to be really good at outdoing themselves with each project they churn out.I really am Impressed with Steelcore, amazing figure..

However...I have been noticing that a couple of tabs on steel core and his little friend are possibly showing stress marks already. Nothing to the point of breaking but a faint whiting of some of the smaller tabs is starting to show..

Don't let that worry you though..This is a awesome purchase

Yeah... the crotch-joint that moves his legs down for transformation was EXCESSIVELY tight on mine. I have to use a LOT of force to move it, it's kind of scary really... I'm sure it'll loosen up a bit after some more tinkering. Besides that though, I couldn't be happier with this figure... I just can't stop playing around with him. The transformation is pretty smooth... unlike Defender who is a pain-in-the-arse. Steel Core is quite possible my favorite "transforming figure" to date... I can't wait to see what more they have in store for him.

There not sending them out in any order, I know someone with a lower number who hasn't had his status change yet.

Even so they are supposedly only making 800 of these - how much time is reasonable to wait having paid $120 upfront for something like this?

Realising that this was all a big experiment in starting up a direct sales arm and I was ok with that but once you get the finished product ready to go out the door........Some on this board have had theirs for a couple of weeks at least and mine is still listed as "pending" - that's MOTUC/Digital River slow. If they want repeat custom at some future point it's going to need to get slicker than this.

i'm going to take my meds now......

Mine is order #693(I swear it was listed as #693 yesterday)& is still pending. I picked up two(one for myself & one for my brother). I know they said orders with multiple items would take longer to ship than single orders, but they also said item would ship out on July 31st. I am waiting (im)patiently.

Repost from the Overload thread:

Venksta wrote:To clear up this confusion about Steel Core's run. They made a big run, more than 800. I would say a couple thousand based on previous releases. Fans Project Core.com secured 800 pieces from that run, to sell early and directly to fans. That means from the original run for Steel Core, there is a lot more units sitting around in a warehouse, waiting to be released.

So in a nutshell, if you missed out, theres more SteelCores to be released either through retailers or Fans Project Core.com. Their probably just waiting for the preorders from FPCore.com to finish shipping out first. So just be patient and you'll get your chance to order it again if you missed out.

I was looking at the box I received my steel core in and I noticed that Fansprojectcore is located in Point Roberts Washington? Or is this just a shipping outlet for them?

Shipping site... I've also seen postings for Canadian folks that it came/shipped out from Burnaby, Canada.

Received my copy yesterday. I'm very happy with it, he's got a good weight to him, love the paint apps, and is an overall good looking figure. I like the tabs, as well.

The cons:
-The waist/crouch joint that needs to be moved to extend the legs out seems to be on an unforgiving ratchet system. It's a bit difficult to move up and down when transforming to robot mode.
-There's a "toe" joint that doesn't really seem to help in posability, but maybe I haven't really tested this out. He doesn't seem to be stable when I pull one or both toes up. Any pictures out there showing this feature off? I managed to get one stance stable, but it doesn't look like a natural pose.
-No wrist articulation. But you gave me a "toe" joint!?!?!
-I wish there was some type of cover for the hole in Corer's chest when Steel is not in-place. Functionally/story-wise, it makes sense, but if displaying robot mode without Steel attached, it's not very flattering.

These flaws are shadowed by a very solid figure, a God master, and a funky weapon (or Swiss army knife). The surprise shoulder missile launchers are a great touch. And, as an early adopter/supporter of Steelcore, the price was VERY reasonable for this size figure, even with the $12 shipping. If FPC is seeing this post, I STRONGLY advocate keeping the $69.99 price point if at all possible. Hopefully sales of this and future figures will continue to rise and make it feasible to continue offering the lower price point.
