Well....It's not an X-Wing. Those pics are not terribly flattering. I like the colors. It looks like the cockpit isn't fully seated, so that might help the alt mode.

I'm not disappointed, but then... I'm not wowed either.

Guess the character in particular must not have been more than a small notch to fill in my collection.

All he needs is a pop on face plate and he is perfect ! If FP doesn't deliver that, you resin guys got a easy money maker !

I like how these guys brought a toy to take pictures of during lunch.

Argh, that alt mode looks great, but the bot mode just doesn't work for me at all. My Headmasters must be beefy, which is why I'm going with Toyworld's versions, but FP's alt mode for this guy has Toyworld's X-Wing fighter beat hands down. If I were displaying him in alt mode, I'd definitely go with FP, but since I'm not, I'll be skipping this and going with TW's. Perhaps if I decide I want a display of each mode I'll snag one of these, but that's unlikely.

I agree. After seeing the colored face version, I wish there was an option to add a faceplate.

What is the grey plastic behind him? And is that a man purse?

I actually really like the robot mode - works perfectly for me. A faceplate would be prime, but it's not a deal breaker by any stretch.

I think its part of Fansproject Diesel. Like the huge trailer parts that attatch/detach from his shoulder.

I'll agree that the figure really needs a faceplate. The mouth makes him look a little sour.

Give him a faceplate and it'll be perfect.

They rarely do.

We're seeing him in his final colours, so I would hope we'll see him before the end of november.

So, so glad I can swing for this guy now. As soon as it becomes available, I'm all over it. I have Chromedome and Weirdwolf, now I'll have Brainstorm. Heck. Yes.

I have this guy in the same order as FP Diesel. They both need to ship. NOW. :BOOM:

FP Needs to make these headmasters bigger. While Toyworld needs to make there Headmaster a bit smaller.

As far as Sculpt goes,The FP Brainstorm looks better than the TW Brainstorm. I like the Sculpt for FP Chromedome & FP Weirdwolf. The problem with the FP Headmasters is the deluxe size & thin fragile plastic. Toyworld's headmasters use thick durable plastic but the toys are too oversized. I was impressed with Toyworld's Hardhead but the headmaster face didn't look that great.

I get what your saying. FP & MMC,Make superior product but they take too long to release stuff. While I think other 3rd party companies make inferior product but release stuff faster.

It's the name of the game. I'll just have to be patient. ;)

I don't even know why I complain. It's not like I have any space to display these...

Are you saying that Fansproject and MMC should take a lesson from other 3rd party's and release inferior product at a faster rate?

FP are really on a roll with these headmasters!!! :D

Brainstorm is looking great and when shown next to TW's offering he looks elegant in his design where as TW's looks kinda like a lump of plastic. Normally I'm all over TW's stuff, but not with this line.

Or, here's an idea.... Release the items on a reasonable time table AND have them be superior.

It wouldn't take FansProject as long to produce these items if they only worked on one or two things at a time, instead of all they have going on right now.

Chromedome/Weirdwolf/Brainstorm/Mindwipe on top of the Stunticons (who are still without a leader), plus Glacialbots, not to mention Roadbuster. Way too much going on all at once for a company that's still too small to make all of this happen at the same time or even a reasonable one.

The Headmasters AND Menasor? Okay.
Or...Glacialbots and Roadbuster? Okay.
Or any mix you like, but no more than two at a time. They've spread themselves too thin to make this happen and we're the ones with open wallets just twiddling thumbs.

I'm all for quality, I really am, but my patience does have an end, you know? And as for it being a superior product? My FP Combaticons would like a word with you. That whole shoulder connector cracking issue, for example. Hell, people dogged out Impossible Toys Arcee, but you know what? She's still rock solid and hasn't broken on me even once. I can't say that for FP stuff. Even my Protector's heel panels cracked at the hinges.

None of these breaks ruin the toys, but they certainly shake my faith in their abilities. Considering they make us wait so long and they're clearly not superior, I wouldn't mind a rush job on some things. If after all that waiting, they still break due to a design flaw, was it really worth pining away for?

Nah. Get me my product.

You hit all the nails right on the heads as far as FP goes.

While it's debatable if a much slower pace for MMC produces superior product. Most would agree the pace needs to move a bit faster. I don't even want to fantom how long it will take MMC to complete Feral Rex. At this pace MMC will release the Carnifex Overlord on the summer of 2015.

Taking this long to release product makes the buyers get frustrated & lose interest. Taking too long gives the competitors plenty of time to swoop in,make similar product & steal your customers.

Exactly! I mean, don't get me wrong, I do want to get my money's worth, but these time tables are utter bull$#!7. I have to give ToyWorld credit, honestly. Their time frames haven't been terrible. They released THREE items last year, Hegemon and two of the Throttlebot combiner pieces. Did just fine. This year, they released Otion, Hardbone and Brainwave.

Those are both reasonable time frames. A little over a year for Megatron to have his Optimus. And both are HIGH quality figures. Perfect? No. High quality? Absolutely, yes. And both are engineered on FP's level. They really are, especially Orion. He's Masterpiece complexity on a Voyager scale. And his plastic is rock solid.

I can't speak for MMC, as I don't own any of their product, but I can tell they make quality stuff and just take too long doing it.

The rumor I heard about the FansProject Glacialbots is that some of the designs started in 2009. 2... 0... 0... 9...! WTF?! Are you kidding me?! FP's good, but they ain't THAT good. lol Too much patience for what they're offering.

That's way too long to wait for something. So glad they didn't tease us with anything to enti...oh wait.
