Doh! It's like a nightmare. "Psst. Harrier. You know that you're here at work without your pants on, right?"

I'm sure that TFC will bring a hip upgrade kit out at some point, and it will probably only cost half the figure price again. :HEADHURTS:

I received Falcon and Harrier yesterday from TF Source and had a little time last night. The F-16's portions are a bit funky, but all of them look great together, especially next to the diminutive original ones. In hindsight, I kinda wish I waited until TFC released them as a group at a lower price point like they did with Hercules, but my lack of patience got the better of me. Im definitely holding off on their next combiner.

The lack of hip plates on Harrier is definitely more noticeable than on Phantom and is a bit annoying, but at the end of the day its not a huge deal for me. They will be in combined form on my shelf.

Hopefully Ill have some time tonight to combine them all.

I get mine tomorrow. I won't consider Superion to be 'completely' complete until the upgrade kit comes out, but for the most part the Aerialbots are done. Well, done again. ;)

Okay, Superion assembled and... it's good. Mostly stable, but that damned chest piece...  But other than that, TFC did a good job with these guys.

What do you guys think the likelihood of us getting a SG or 'Con repaint of this set is? I waited in hopes that we'd see a set of them all, which we now have, but I'm still hesitant to go in on the original when a nice recolor might be right around the corner.

That said, Perseus is fugly, so it would depend on who or what they repainted him into, I guess....

on an unrelated note, is there no way to subscribe to a thread and/or get email updates? Am I missing some button somewhere? O-o

When you reply it should automatically subscribe for you, unless you have a profile setting different than mine. At the bottom of the page in a thread there is also a subscribe/unsubscribe link. Double check your e-mail address in your profile too.

On topic, the price is comparable to Herc, but I'm still satisfied with my FP set. The lack of hip shields on harrier finally put me off. Plus, from the image on BBTS, he appears to have weirdly long legs...

Found this at HK-TF and it seems to be the WoU set in color. Looks to be part of the photoshoot from the modeling magazine.

Damnit, I was hoping the Wings chest piece would be mostly red and black like the Silverbolt mods I've seen :(.

I'm still getting it, but it looks like I'm going to have to paint it...argh.

I've been looking at this project a lot and I gotta admit the combined node makes it soooo tempting. Does it suffer from a number of issues, as Herc did?

yes, i've found one big issue on mine, a design issue. the sideways ratcheting of the ankles and hips doesn't have enough 'fixed' points. you can have him with the legs straight down (which silverbolt can do with his skinny legs, but the combined mode can't because the lower legs will touch before it reaches the detent)
or you can move the hips 1 point outward and the ankles 1 inward. which will make him ridiculously wide-legged. mine wasn't able to keep standing in that position.
so i've got him standing up as straight as possible, but the hips and ankles are not actually in a solid position but "between" ratchet detents.

Try a dynamic, knee-bending pose. Normally that helps mask the awkward A-stance on some figures.

or u can stop without the ankles 1 node inward and slowly moving the hip inward, there's a stable point there enough for display purpose

Yuuuup.

That's actually one of the main reason I decided he wasn't for me. Those long legs put the proportions all off, especially since he's a head above Herc. Color me not interested (which is unfortunate, because I can always use a good Superion).
