Thats what I said about Generations Springer/Sandstorm but everybody seemed to love that mold...

You just say that because you wanted a G1 Movie Springer, not a comics Springer.

For the record, I would have also preferred a G1 Springer, but the Generations one is sufficiently amazing to quell any possible complaints I may have had.

Gen Springer is a nice mould, but I'll switch back to Defender eventually. It's too big.

Still undecided on Uranos. Maybe that's a sign I just shouldn't get it. Playing the large gestalt game is not for the faint of heart.

Whether your preference is cartoon or comic, theres no sugarcoating that the legs on the Springer mold are too long and skinny. They either need more bulk or maybe an inch shorter in length. Even if you like the mold as is, you gotta admit that could only make it better.

I actually don't have to admit anything - because I disagree with you.

Springer's legs are long and skinny, but they are perfectly proportioned with the rest of his body. No sugarcoating is needed - there's no negative there. His proportions are fantastic.

That a G1 Springer would have been nice does not detract from Generations Springer being a superb toy and solid addition to the Classics line. Even if he didn't reference the comics or anything at all, the fact that he's great isn't gonna change. He's a worthy update, IMHO. :BOT:

Back to the topic at hand - TFC Uranos. Those legs are all out of proportion.

If they cut an inch off those legs, not only would his proportions be perfect, but he would scale perfectly with Herc. That's 2 counts against TFC on this combiner.

Completely agree there, they got Springer exactly right :D

Actually, his legs are not to bad, it's his feet that are the problem. If TFC had done the feet the same way all the Not-Predakings are done then he would be the same height as Herc and would look a lot better. Having the feet sit below the legs and connect by a post is what adds the extra height and throws things out a little bit.

I keep hoping that someone will make some new jet engines for Blackbird that store the fists and transform into better feet [-(

That faceplate is growing on me, but I'm still not sure if I'm going to use it or not. I'll definitely be using the chest plate though.

Is the price for this whole set dropping anytime soon? What does everyone think? I might have to consider it if it does.

Look right, Im not actually ever going to buy this, but why is it TFC almost always put out an extra set of upgrades for a very expensive combining figure?
If they need to upgrade it to something which the fans have asked for, do they not gain any fan feedback before they start putting these figures into production?

Are they on the scam from the off, or what? =;

These guys must be fans of Transformers and the figures of which they are producing an homage of, so do they just keep any fan comments or feedback on the down low, knowing full well the many fans and collectors out there will instantly pre-order/buy without a thought as they have a sizable amount of disposable income to do so!

If that is the case does make the consumer more of a fool or the seller a con artist? :???: (Not hating on the buyer either, just speaking out/generalising)

I dont want to come across like Im hating on TFC and I have yet to make a purchase of one or some of their figures. I didnt like their take on Devastator and really cant enjoy the overall look of their Superion any more (those legs are just way too busy looking to be enjoyed >:oP ) but I did want to pick up their Iron Army set, but have now moved on from the whole PCC thing, so not really bothered now unless I find it ridiculously cheap? Maybe.

So what is up with TFC, can they not just put out a nice, well rounded, reasonably priced single figure which homages something which Hasbro have failed to create, before another company announces their take...?

*Tsk* I dont know.... (:|

Or, y'know, they could be putting out a "neo classics" style and doing smaller runs of the add-on for those fans looking for more G1. I, myself, was perfectly happy with their Herc set without the add-on. I imagine there is a group out there fine with Silverbolt being a Blackbird, and there being a 6th stealth drone member for the chest plate.

I guess, in some ways, I like a company willing to cater to different fan bases. It offers options, and I generally like options.
