Looks a little like a car mode Rattrap...

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking too. The large backpack and skinny legs definitely give off a Rattrap vibe. It works for Rattrap, but I don't think it works for Tailgate (unless he has weird proportions like that in the comics or something, which I'm guessing he does).

Hmm, that particular image makes his arms out to be quite a bit slimmer than the render/teaser above so the legs don't seem quite so out of proportion.

I may stick with Hasbro's version of this guy.

Wonderful!! I really hope someone gives us an IDW style Cyclonus so Tailgate will have his buddy for my Lost Light shelf.

Im calling it...

Tailgate and Windcharger repaint sold as a 2 pack.

It's starting to get annoying that theyre just doing what Hasbro has already done. I could have believed the Swerve/Gears thing was a coincidence, but now they are just biting ideas. I might get them because I am a sucker for Cybertronian alt modes. But it's starting to get a bit annoying.

I'm pretty satisfied with Hasbro's, so I have no desire for this guy.

I have Hasbro's, but I'm still down for this guy. Tailgate really grew on me and this is delightfully comic accurate.

I'd also be down for a IDW Cyclonus. But I'd be VERY down for Galvatron. Mainly because I'm down for almost anything Galvatron.

Very slick! Glad that MakeToys is still pursuing the little guys, even if this isn't the Minibotsu line anymore. I really liked their take on Gears and Swerve, so this is just another must-have for me. I would also like it if each of these releases comes with more Energon pitchers and mugs, I can imaging having a Maccadam's setting on my shelf one day.

I can't wait for this IDW Tailgate. Anyone have any updates?

Yeah, sorry Maketoys but I'm passing. Hasbro's version is good enough. That said if you do him in another colour scheme and he's going cheap I might get him as a crowd-filler, as that vehicle mode is pretty nice.

Screen grab of the add on set for 'Classics' Deluxe Cyclonus, giving him a more MTMTE look!
It gives him a set of replacement hands BOTH with 5mm holes, a set of hip skirts, a new noggin with broken horn and a sword and holder to attach to his back.
The colours shown look like they are for the RtS/BiS/Henkei version not the Universe version which is a lot darker in colour, but it may work for some.

I would be keen for the Cyclonus add on set but have no interest in their Tailgate, too small for my set up! :P

Now this is the Tailgate I've been wanting and waiting for. The Cyclonus add on is just icing on the cake.

That Cyclonus kit looks awesome. I've been waiting for someone to do this; a whole new Cyclonus seems somewhat unnecessary when all that really needed to be done was a new head and waist skirts. The only thing I want in addition is a second head with both horns.

MT's Swerve is spot on (sans face), but Tailgate seems... off. Just a bit. Maybe he's a bit stockier than I imagine Tailgate to be; I would have preferred a more slender profile.
