I guess we should have suspected that was the reason Salmoore comes with spiked wheel guards. As a redeco, it's pretty obvious.

But he's going to be too big for my collection.

Me too. Easy pass.

Deluxe Classics-style Wreck-gar is already pretty great. Sorry, Unique Toys, but passing on him.

Might be interested but first I need to see a few youtube videos on Salmoore. Just to make sure the sculpt itself doesn't have any QC issues.

I might be interested if they had a "order in the next 20 minutes and get the 2nd one free!" = )

Call now, operators are standing by!

I think I agree with others here, the Classics version already filled my need for this character.

It depends on how big he is next to the existing Junkions.

If he is only slightly bigger he night make a good leader for my junkion horde.

He's the same height as Springer, so you can count on him being something like an inch and a half or two inches taller

It's a nice looking Wreck-Gar, but I'm happy with the Takara version I already have. Every once in a while I don't feel the need to replace a toy.

Looking good, Sculpt definately seems like it was made for Wreckgar and not Cykill.

Have 30th Springer on my display shelf. The Springer toy is only 6.4 inches tall in robot mode. The comparisons pic of Slamoore and Springer shows that Springer is 0.2 inches taller than Salmoore. Which makes Salmoore a 6.2 inch tall robot mode.

Don't have Generations Wreckgar on my display shelf. The UT Salmoore-Splinter toy just can't be a 1.5 or 2 inches taller than Generations Wreckgar. Because this would mean Generations Wreckgar in robot mode is either 4.2 inches tall or 4.7 inches tall in robot mode.

While I don't have Generations Wreckgar on my display shelf. Thinking the robot mode is at least 5.5+ inches tall in robot mode.

Everybody happy with classics Wreck gar or is Cykill the scale you're looking for ?

With my Classics setup? Yes, Classics Wreack Gar is what I'm after. Protector's my Rodimus and Wreckky was never his height. And Classics Wrekky has the same height as Defender, which is my Springer of choice.

Oddly, while most of the scales from everyone else is totally messed up beyond all hope of repair, the scales of my movie Autobots are pretty good. In terms of what's shown int he movie anyway.

Do you actually pull out a tape measure to determine these calculations ? :-B

Yes.

If that's the case, shouldn't you be using eighths for inches?

I dunno about that. I'm thinking this might be the lower production numbered repaint and Cy-Kill could be the 'original' that it's based on. I could be wrong on that, but considering we've already got a fairly recent and quite frankly, excellent representation of Wreck-gar on our shelves thanks to Has/Tak and there is no other 'Classics' type Cy-Kill out there anywhere, it makes sense that the one actually filling a gap would be the one to sell in higher numbers.

Of course, this is UT we're talking about here, so I could be completely full of crap. These are the same guys who did a Galvatron with no wrists, a Cyclonus that most people didn't want/ask for and a Predaking when 2 other third party companies were already doing one.

So yeah, I guess it's entirely possible that they should have released this one first, but I can see at least possibly why they did not (and I'm glad too, because if this one flopped because no one saw the need for it, that could mean that the later not-Cy-Kill figure might have never seen a release, and I want him BADLY :P).

KFC is releasing that Tempest-Cyclonus toy not UniqueToys.

Which I don't believe hurt too many possible sales. We hear from people who own the figure saying it's really good, and I'm in line for the Limited Edition (re: better version) when it comes out.

xyl360 wrote:a Cyclonus that most people didn't want/ask for

As corrected earlier, that's a KFC project

Which actually finished first and looks amazing in combined mode! While I'm not a fan of the individual alt/bot modes, "Predaking" looks great and was a good investment on my part.

Also, you forgot to mention UT produced Blaster, which I've heard some good reviews on. Just got to find a month where I have the spare $$$ to pick up one for myself.

Not really feeling this as Wreck-Gar at all . If i had an army of junkions i would definitely buy one or two to add some muscle to the ranks.
