Kapow posted these pics with no info on who these are from they could be a new company or a heavy custom and scratch build.

Optimus is very reminiscent of the the classics voyager almost looking like a retool in robot mode although the alt mode may suggest other wise but both heavily based off the 1.0 voyager

While jetfire here is a completely new mold .

Looks like just a reshell of classics voyager prime with g1-looking cab parts. Looks funky to be a G1 OP, but considering the transformation(front grill ends up on his back) and with Xovergen's trailer this seems more fitting to be Ginrai

Might be a hard sell for USA import sites to sell this Optimus. As some don't sell retooled KO's.

Jetfire also looks like it's a retooled KO. As this toy has the legs and upper arms that the Classics 1.0 Jetfire has. Looks like it's a upsized Eight inch toy.

I really hope this is someone's custom build for personal use. If so, awesome job!

But if this is some third party company producing these with the intent to sell... Ugh. No. Please, no. I don't think my opinions on KOs are a secret. And even a reshell or a remold, as long as an existing Hasbro or Takara mold is the basis of it, is still a KO. Boo.

(In either event, I'd offer one complaint about the Optimus figure: the doors on the sides of the cab. They retain an angled appearance, even though with the front of the cab straightened out the reason for why the doors were angled no longer exists. The doors looking the way they do are just an anachronistic feature that now stick out like a sore thumb.)

Over at TFW, It's being reported this Optimus toy is a custom that was done in April. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transform ... yfire.html

That's good. I was feeling queezy about this too. For a custom, it looks quite great, though Yotsuyasan's point about the doors is a good one. I'd like to see more of that Skyfire. It would be kinda cool for an add-on set to make the backpack look a bit more G1-ish, though I don't know if the alt mode can be made more G1...

Wished they showed the Jet mode pics for this custom Jetfire.

Would have been nice to see some comparisons toy pics of these two customs next to the HasTak toys versions.

3P or no, I find the changes to the Voyager prime to be pretty blah. I like the original mold because it doesn't square off or flatten out too much, especially the window pecks, this just... well it's about as square as G1 ever gets, so no thanks. Same fore Jetfire, he's just too plain. Also I could easily note these are likely customs just by looking at their hands, those are manipulators from Gundam kits.

I bought Artfeather Bumblebee. I like the idea of re-shelling Hasbro molds with 80's alt modes. I dont care about the "cool factor" needed to please kids and sell toys. I would rather have nostalgic 80's vehicles any day than a bunch of race cars that are aimed for younger buyers. Jetfire is a little boxy. I like the Sky Guardian better.
