 I kinda want one now!

I wonder how this would look with Metroplex stepping on him... Image

Dammit I got excited for a moment and thought it was going to be deluxe scale. Then I saw that little piece of s**t and was like wtf ? I wont be jumping on this new legends scale bandwagon. I always said legends scale is for McDonalds happy meal toys. Metroplex is awesome, but I dont want to build a collection around him. I already have about 15 legends autobots standing in metroplexes shadow. I dont need 100 plus cons too.

Yea not into this. It'll probably be over 100 bucks too.

At first, I was thinking "What, so they're gonna make them deluxe scale? Meh, the whole point of Hercules is that he's massive. Pass."

Then I saw they were Legends scale.

That's pretty awesome. If I ever get Metroplex then they're mine. Even if I don't they're mine- they'd make great desk toys.

Damn, now I want to start a Legends-scale collection to go with some of my huge toys (Energon Tidal Wave for example).

I have a pretty decent legends scale collection, and it is, as others have suggested a "desk collection" of stuff to be fiddled with while working.

I'm not sure I would buy this, but I'm also not sure I wouldn't.

I've never been a huge fan of Hercules (preferring the look, scale, and price of Giant, instead) but at this scale, it actually seems cool. Still, I wouldn't want to pay more then $100 for this, and with the engineering and parts count involved, which unless heavily simplified won't be too different from the full sized version, I doubt it will come in for that low a price.

I read over at TFW2005 that it has been stated that the figures will be slightly simplified (how much "slightly" entails is not known) and that the combiner ports on it will be compatible with Power Core Combiners. (I was never into the PCC figures myself, but some of you out there may be able to think of some fun ways to use this compatibility.)

Hopefully it'll be more compatible with PCC ports than it is with Energon ports.

Anyway, it's a neat curiosity piece. But that's all it is to me. I have Herc and Giant; I don't need "mini me".

I have Giant to satisfy my full-sized Devastator needs. But on the off chance this goes for cheep enough, I could see myself getting it for kicks. (Or, I suppose, I could track down wherever I stashed my Micromaster Devastator! :D )

Who's Megatron's big man? Who is he? Awwwww, come over here Devy.

This is definitely one of the more bizarre offerings I've seen lately. Not saying it's bad, just bizarre.

I really do need to find these guys. I came across a few old pics on my computer, and while they aren't perfect (they have enough combiner kibble to form a huge -- compared to them -- freakin' jet, and while it gets props for being a six member Constructicon team, it does have the minor issue that all one of them gets to do is say, "And I'll form... the ass!") they do make for a cute and tiny set of Constructicons. If I do find where I stashed these guys, that may take away any slight desire I had been feeling for tiny Hercules.

Or make it so you have to do a photo spread and review comparing the two... *big giant wink*

You never know what the future may hold! If my amazingly (but not unsurprisingly) underperforming "Buy Me a Toy!" Kickstarter suddenly goes through the roof and I end up with a huge surpluss of funds, I could certainly afford to become a little less discriminating in my toy purchases, which could lead me to getting a few more "out there" things to review. And thus, such a comparison would be well within the realm of possibility.Image

I am not about to hold my breath... Hell, I'm surprised I even got the one $1.00 pledge so far! But stranger things (*cough* Potato Salad *cough*) have happened...

Well, if by chance you choose to support this one, and unless you happen to support it for $41.00 or more, there's a good chance any support you do offer may be purely symbolic! Image So you may have nothing to lose!

Guessing TFC might be wanting to go for a 1985 Devastator update toy scale here. Since the 1985 Constructicons were Legends-Commander scaled. Think it's kinda cool having option for buyers.

Don't think this is a total loss, As it might scale well next to Beast Hunters Abonimus, ROTF Deluxe scale Devastator, PCC Combiners.

Have no plans to buy this, As I'm happy with my MT Giant scaled combiner toy.

I would want him as a Metroplex companion piece as well, but there's a long way to go between these pics and me getting him, so...

I'm also not surprised at reports that he's simplified. But as far as molds go, TFC's Constructicons were fairly simplified to begin with...

Indeed. Aside from the hydraulics and stuff, they were actually fairly simple engineering-wise (not that they suffer from it at all). I like the fact that with this downsizing, they've kept all the articulation/transformy bits and other stuff that actually matters and gutted the little things (like the hydraulics) that just wouldn't work at that scale.

Back on the crappy work computer so not sure if this higher resolution pic was included earlier in this thread, but hey ho.... ;)

Any smaller and you could shove him up Metroplex's ass. If they would have downsized him to deluxe scale figures, I would have been very tempted to double dip on Herc.

Well, these are supposed to interact with Metroplex and other Cyberverse/Legends scale figures. Metroplex is meant to be colossal, so these fellows scale pretty well with him. At the end of the day, they're only construction vehicles- they'd be pretty puny next to big M.

And as for deluxe-scale Hercules...eh. Part of the appeal of the standard Hercules set is that he's absolutely huge, and the whole point of this set is to make a decently poseable Devastator in Legends scale (and also as an experiment in downsizing). If the figures were deluxe size, he'd be...eh. Too big to go with Legends and the like, but without one of his main selling points (being a veritable Goliath). It would just be pointless.

Agreed...

Think part of the beauty of Mini Hercules is that the Constructicons are Legends scale like the 1985 toys were. Also Mini Hercules is Leader Scale like 1985 Devastator.

If the Mini Hercules price is under $100, I might buy this set. Putting this set in a retro 1985 Devastator gift set box would be the icing on the cake.
