Scaleface from TFW reports this is either canceled or in Limbo. A Designer created this and he's looking for a company to create it. In limbo or canceled? Repaints and retools are or were Generation 2 Jhiaxus and Straxus.







Think Toy World would be the perfect company to make this as they create all those Ultra Scaled HeadMasters toys.

Don't have enough attachment to the Lugnutz Character to desire to spend 3rd party prices on it.

I'd be willing to buy this sculpt recolored and retooled as Generation 2 Jhiaxus. As He's a favorite character of mine. I've been wanting a big toy for him for a while.

Prefer my Straxus toys as land based alt modes not Air based alt modes.

I never seen this before. I don't like the jet mode because it is too bat like. I never saw the animated cartoon so I don't know if this guy ever had a Cybertronian mode. but it definitely looks more like classics aesthetic. I own both decos of the animated and classics molds so I don't need a 5th Lugnut. The classics version is good enough. The character has no G1 history to really justify a need for a classics Cybertronian figure.

Nice concept but wasn't there an original Tomy/Hasbro release a few years back? Those molds are still holding up on their own. Wished 3rd companies would just concentrate on characters Tomy or Hasbro never has an intention to manufacture or re-issue. makes more sense.

I've also never heard of this, but I am a fan of TF:A and the character, so I'd be all over this.

I think both bot and alt modes are great.

I hope it does come out of limbo at some point.

I'm fine with the Lugnut that Hasbro released. I cannot see any versions of this mold that I'd get.

I like this a lot, but I don't like the character enough to shell out 3P prices for him. If money wasn't so tight I would be all over it.

I don't really see the point in this one. Sure it says it's about Ultra Class, but the original was a Voyager and due to the bot-mode design short in bot-mode, so this would have barely been larger.

Then there is the fact that it's based on nothing at all, he looks neither like his earth mode nor like his cybertronian form, the hands are also all wrong.

Sure it looks cool, but it's just not really needed like at all.

Then again, it seems to be in Classics aesthetic, so it might have been done as a G1 version, which we already have in RTS Lugnut.

Think it might have been a smarter move to first market this sculpt as Generation 2 Jhiaxus.

I think it's very sleek looking, and captures the character in an interesting way.

My issue is this: it doesn't really look like a Transformer to me.

That is what I was thinking about: he reminds me of one of the Cylon Raiders from Battlestar Galactica. Except without the scrolling eye.

It's a pretty slick lookin design no doubt but DEFINITELY not needed. I couldn't see this making any profit whatsoever if it saw the light of day. Smart move to cancel it.

They should design some Monsterbots instead.

Will somebody design some Monsterbots please! Is that too much to ask?

Didnt hasbro do a repaint of repugnus from the beast wars mold back in 2005 ?

Thought the recent Generations lugnuts toy done up in the Takara colors was decent enough. Don't think this 3rd party toy here is needed. Rather they focus more on creating stuff HasTak hasn't updated yet.

Yes but it's not by any means a satisfactory Repugnus.

Universe Repugnus is kinda neat but it's really only a novelty repaint IMO but at least it's an "insect". I need the team done proper. With new molds.

I think it would make a good Jhiaxus, but I'd like to see the current official Hasbro one done up in G2 colors. (C'mon, some retailer, make it an exclusive, let me buy it.) I think it would do just fine.

Although, an Ultra Class size would be nice...

There's always a chance with the unseen/unknown Takara version.
