Terminus Hexatron rerelease?

MMC is pretty good about rereleasing figures, am I right? I recently received this fellow from BBTS and they pulled the usual bait-and-switch, sending me a beat-up box that was already opened. I now have the option to send it back for a refund -- hoping to eventually purchase a non-defective one -- or keep it as is.

So any clue as to how often MMC rereleases these things?

Never, IIRC.

How did you manage to recently buy a G-1 Deco Hexatron from BBTS. When BBTS and other sites have been out of stock for over Four months.

If BBTS shafted you, get a replacement from them because it's a sure thing. Don't gamble on an unsure future with 3rd party figures.

Well, they don't have any more. So it's either a) keep the one which has been opened and is in a damaged box or b) hope a re-release happens. At this point, it looks like I'm best erring towards the bird in hand. I'll just have to thoroughly inspect the figure to be sure it's undamaged.

Here's me eating my words!

Though it looks like there are some significant molding/deco changes. I've preordered him for now; gives me an excuse to have two different version and to keep one in bot mode, the other in one of the alt modes.

Yeah, that was interesting timing, right? The only debate now is keeping the first one with its pretty swords or moving onward to the new version. I'm not a fan of chrome, given its propensity to chip, but I'm curious how the color schemes will compare.

I'm definitely keeping the one I already have. I love the swords & shurikens (smart of them to acknowledge that chromed wheels would make for easily scratched shurikens), and the chest wings are more to my preference in the first version.

For me, it's a matter of whether to get this tweaked version. If they released another add on kit with the new helmet and those guns, I might pass.

Still not sold on that newer Heaxatron head or helmet. it looks like either a shapeways design or a quickie unfinished test shot. Think MMC designs really terrible robot heads put on beautifully sculpted robot bodies.

Also liked the chest wings MMC created for the first release version of Hexatron. Never liked the booring chest wings the 1987 Sixshot toy had.

Love the newer guns designs for the newer Hexatron toy. As I thought the Designs of the original Hexatron guns looked puny and ugly.

If MMC Creates a kit with a better robot head, newer guns and some other items For Hexatron. I might be interested if the price is low.

Never cared for the Matte colors on the original Hexatron toy. Might be interested in buying this newer Heaxatron toy just for the more glossy darker colors and newer sculpted guns that are chromed.
