Very nice! But why is it a limited edition? Toyworld is one of the very few 3rd party companies I take seriously when they say that kinda thing (once they run out of something it tends to disappear).

Well, I have Warden already (even if I'm waiting on a replacement head now), so I suppose my Fort Max needs are already met. But between that and Maketoy's upcoming $400 effort Fort Max seems to be getting a lot of love lately.

I think it's the grand max version that is limited

Brillant, in creating a 9.1 inch Fort max/Grand Max toy. It's a great idea to keep the 3rd party prices down.

Will consider this leader scale TW FM toy to be in Marvel comics FM toy scale. This is going to scale great next to other MP TF toys.

Will be buying this, in FM colors. Blown away at the extremely low 3rd party price for a leader scale toy.

Think toy World is a great company to be making this toy.

Speculating TW and other 3rd party companies are going to make more money doing add ons kits for this toy. Like a transforming Headmaster, Master Sword, Feet bots, City accessories. Maybe a pretender shell for GM's Transforming headmaster.

Hoping for the TW Ultra Scale Horrorcons reveals

Way too small for my taste. If they're willing to enlarge him to two feet tall and be within the $250-300 price range, then youve got a buyer. I pay to play. I dont need a shrunken city so small it doesnt even scale with minicons.

Damn, I got my Maximuses mixed up and missed out on the preorder. I though this was from the RiD series, which I didn't need. Turns out it was the Masterforce version, which I would've liked. Oh well, there may be other opportunities.

Heavily guessing the TFCON Tfsource 180 untits for $119 is exclusive to one particular color scheme. Speculating this due to 180 units not making enough profits to pay for the creation and mass production cost of this toy of this scale and high sculpt.

Don't care about having low quanity units recolors in my collection. Going to be buying this toy in the high quanity units, non exclusive colors.

Fortress Maximus is the colors i'm seeking for this toy anyways.

Glad that this toy is getting released in under a few weeks. I'll be buying this toy, This year.

Hoping that TW Astrotrain also gets released in a few weeks or this year.

Perhaps if demand is high enough, TW might create a 2nd run of those MF Grand Max colors for TFSource. Maybe if TW creates extra add on kits, a different box with the extra kits in it and platinum Grand Max colors, TW might be able to release the Grand Max colors to other import sites.

Speculating TW will be releasing this toy, Also, in the Fortress Maximus and Car robots Brave Maximus toy colors.

I'll be buying the Fort Max color for this toy.

im trying reeeaaallly hard to justify buying this. its a kickass sculpt, but i dont need a city-former this small. and from what i can tell, he doesnt have a headmaster.

but my brain is saying "he's exclusive, price is killer, and the sculpt is equally killer! buy it!"

If it helps any, This TW toy might be in the Marvel TF G-1 comics Fort Max scale. Where Fort max was shown the same scale while fighting Blaster, Grimlock, Shockwave, Galvatron and other TF characters. So TW Grand-Fort Max will scale nicely with other 3rd party MP scaled character TF toys.

This toy scale and price is perfect for me, as I'm on a toy budget due to my family and kids. Don't need a 18 inch or 24 inch 3rd party fort max toy as that i'm guessing will cost anywhere from $400 to $600+ depending on the bigger scale. I'll leave the 24 inch Fort Max to Hasbro's Generations toy line, as my budget can more afford a $130+ retail toy.

Easily guessing add on kits will get made for this toy that includes a transforming headmaster, mnaster sword, city accessories, feet bots, pretender shell for transforming headmaster and so on.

It's a shame he's so small, but let's be fair: a "proper size" (read: colossal) 3P Fortress Maximus would be RIDICULOUSLY expensive, both to develop and to own. If it failed commercially it could bankrupt the people doing it.

What I'd like to see is a kit that adds articulation to the vintage toy. He's already fairly poseable for a G1 toy, so all you'd need to do is make replacements for a few of the existing parts- and I think Fort Max is mostly held together with screws anyway.

Thanks for the link MKall.

Looks like the pre-order sold out.

No worries, My favorite colors are the Hasbro Fortress Maximus colors on this toy. I'll buy the toy in those FM colors.

Yeah, I might've jumped on it if I saw the preorder in time. Ah, well. My Kabaya kit will have to do for my Maximus kick. :D

Ah well, his G1 colours will probably still be on a mass release.

Honestly the more I look at this mold the more I like it. Sure it's totally out of scale with everything but the faithfulness to the original toy is amazing, and he'd probably make a wonderful desk toy.

Kinda wish they'd release an unpaimted, unassembled version as a model kit, so you could build and assemble your own Fort Max and give him whatever colours you want.

That's what Some of us are hoping.

:-? The running speculating is that each TFCon this year had a limited units repaints using a new toy, With a mass release version being announced and sold later.

At any rate if some are wrong, Their is always ebay. ;)

Knowing 3rd parties, they need to make enough profit to justify the creating and mass assembly cost of this toy. If they only make 180 or less, Their losing money.

Why do people always keep capitalizing the k? I've never capitalized the k, ever.

You're welcome btw.

I hadn't seen it before today either. I like it, though I would probably prefer Fortress Maximus colors...

And, Mkall, I don't know how anybody can capitalize the k after seeing that awesome Spider-Man sig you used to have. Image

Think it was kinda low balling and scummy of TFSource and TW not to announce at TFCON Chicago 2014. That this TW Leader scale city bot will have higher units mass release recolors variations released. As most of us are guessing it will.

Thanks for the much needed link.

Was getting a bit worried that I was wrong in not pouncing on the TFSource Grand Max colors. Like the Fort Max colors much better on this mold.

Don't want to pay $25 in overseas shipping fees and then wait weeks upon weeks for this toy to arrive to me. Think i'll wait for a few other USA Based import sites to list this pre-order. Before I pre-order this toy.

Has Chimgmung provided fans the first ever Transforming HeadMaster pic for this toy? :???:

Think it's cool that TW managed to squeeze in a Transforming Headmaster on this toy.

After looking at both toys on the Chimgmung site. Think the Grand max toy has a bunch of paper stickers applied on the toy. While the FM toy has no paper stickers on the toy

Don't see any paper stickers applied on the Fort Max colored version. Hoping the toy does come with a sticker sheet. Hoping the pics were rushed and didn't show the stickers applied.
