Looks promising, but it's way to big to fit between generations,

and it's way to simple for the masterpiece line.

I really don't understand why 3rd party companies seem to think

that bigger is better.

Bummer, I was hoping for a nice scaled 3rd party Ironhide...

Like what I see, it looks like a 3rd party MP scaled Voyager-Ultra scale toy.

I'm more interested in this done as G-1 ratchet. As I like Ironhide evolved into a pick up truck alt mode.

Think making it voyager-ultra was a good company decision. As HasTak has already created a handful of deluxes spanning from different TF toy lines.

With TFC almost done with the Combiners. Hoping 2015 means they'll venture into non-combiner singular TF character toys done in the MP scale.

Looks to be a remold of their First Aid (a bit like what MMC did with Felisaber/Catilla). Interesting but not for me.

no its not. this thing is voyager scaled. and their first aid is right beside him and clearly smaller.

this thing is really odd. to big for generations. to.... not MP to be an MP. i have no idea who this is marketed towards.

you know... I love my Igear weapons specialist ironhide but I have to admit I'm intrigued by this...

I'm intrigued by this version as well. Not sure where it goes. iGear Weapon Specialist does double duty in MP and Classics for me. I can't tell what the design is from.

Regarding the figure's size, it looks to be close to the size of ToyWorld's Roar who is a large Voyager. Definitely larger than TFC's First Aid. I thought all the TFC limbs were Voyager? Weird.

TFC Ratchet can't be too far behind, huh?

I'd have to see this guy beside Classics Voyager Prime to even consider it as that's still my Prime of choice. I dunno, though. Ironhide isn't my favorite TF and there's so many other products out there to nab.

Sorry, but iGear's Ratchet and Ironhide are the definitive Classics for me. This one's just not doing it for me.

That makes it a definite no no for me.

This thing isn't an MP by a long shot... Way to simple for that

If they'd make this a small voyager, then I'd think they struck gold, as I-gears
version is hard to find and rather expensive.

Oh well, someone is bound to make another generations Ironhide sometime,
so I guess I'll be waiting for that to happen...

I could definitely see this as MP- the engineering doesn't need to be any more complicated than what it takes to make it look good in both forms, and this seems to fit the bill for me. for that matter, it looks to be about as complex as sideswipe- I am curious to see weapons, and weapon storage. and price point

like invisible, its just not "MP" enough for me.

van mode is nice though.

Iron Hide and Ratchet are two characters i'm actually looking forward to from Takara i can wait on these two .

How ever this is TFC and i can tell it's one of theres which really puts me off just big chunky blocks it's 100x better than hotspot but i just don't like the TFC aesthetic .

All there individual combiner robots just don't do it , of the two i have the Aerialbots look OK but the Constructicons have not aged well imo and tbh taking a look at my shelves neither are the combiners... well Herc still does it .

Interesting. I rather like it actually. The van mode is spot-on and the robot mode is close enough and fits well with the other MPs. Even next to the other G1 Autobot cartoon models, Ironhide's model was very, very simplistic, nothing more than a stack of boxes with a window chest (and an impossible transformation seeing as the little battle station never actually appeared in the show), so taking a bit of liberty with the model is acceptable if it results in a good-looking and solid figure.

I actually think TFC's "chunky" aestehetic suits Ironhide very well. He avoids looking overly spindly like the Universe figure and still looks detailed and interesting whilst keeping to the design. Also, the Toyota Cherry Vannette which he's based on is to the best of my knowledge a fairly large vehicle, and Ironhide was always meant to be a bruiser, so it might not look too bad in a classics collection. I dunno. I like him anyway.

I agree the chunky look suits iron hide and the colour db helps a ton but i have a feeling the finished product won't look as good .

i do however think this Ratchet DB look better .

I feel you. Front window looks a bit small. Still I'll be interested to see how he turns out- TFC stuff is usually loads of fun to mess with even if it isn't as good looking as other figures.

Looks like TFC is ready to pass the combiner torch to Maketoys and MMC...

TFC creating Non-combiners, MP Styled TF toys is exciting. As it's another company making more bigger toys I like.

As the months pass, I'll be looking forward to the TFC products reveals.

They can still move on with the combiner series and bring to market stand alone products. Remember they released Six Gun this year. But if they decided to stop producing combiners after the Protectobots, they've already hit all the pre-G1 movie guys except for the Stunticons and Combaticons. And it seems that those products are already out or are already teased by Warbotron. Perhaps the "Predaking Wars" wasn't as kind to TFC?
