That fricken figures.... I have been messing with the Quickswitch deco and I like him. For FP, he doesn't actually seem too overly complicated to fiddle with. But I definitely liked this paint deco better. However, I don't think I like it enough to shell out the money again...

Not interested in buying this toy in any color. Like the almost ultra class this toy has. Don't like the Ugly weird sculpt and overly complex Transformation this toy has. At $102, Think the toy is fairly priced.

I have the first version and overall love it. Heck, I think I like it more than Hexatron. But this? Nah.

I have the original colors MADLAW, I have no desire or need to own this version. The mold is fantastic, btw. A really solid figure.

I'd expect a six changer to be complex...

It's not that complex, actually. It's basically spin the waist, fold the legs at the knees, position the shoulders and arms, hide the robot head. Seriously.

Yeah. It really isn't too bad.

Tsu has hated on the original figure since they released initial first images so kind of anticipated him to comment how he doesn't like this one as well even if some of his reasons don't make sense.

Well, that's his right. We don't have to agree, but it's his right. Me, personally, I love the figure and I find it hard to put down. I'm constantly changing it back and forth between modes, especially the drill tank and boat modes.

On multiple occasions in this thread when new pics or info came out. I did try to like this figure. Even got excited when I saw the colors and found out the toy was bigger than expected.

For me, It was never about not liking the company who made this toy. As I bought several toys from FP. The stunticons, Protector and City commander.

Initially thought the toy was Deluxe or tiny Voyager class. When I found out it was Ultra class. I did get a bit excited. For a short time, I considered buying this toy.

What finally stopped me from buying this toy. Was not liking the sculpting on any of the modes. What I disliked the most was that weird deformed looking beast head. Didn't care for the robot head either but I warmed up to it. Didn't like the flying mode as it looked like a power rangers bloated space ship Zord mode. Didn't like how the drill or boat mode had too much other alt mode kibble on it.

Actually prefer the sculpting on the 1988 Quickswitch toy better. As I thought it looked more beautiful and less weird ugly. Always loved the cute Beautiful beast head the best.

Do not hate the G1 Character toy. As I owned it as a kid. Willing to buy a Third party toy of it. As long as a company makes a sculpted designed toy I like.

If SXS creates a replacement beast head and robot head that looks more cute beautiful and G1. Then I'd consider buying this FP Quickswitch toy.

You really need to get into designing your own add-ons. By the sounds of it there are only little things e.g heads and hands that are stopping you from purchasing some TFs :D

I have been fiddling with M.A.D.L.A.W. a lot today. I like the bulky look in most of the modes. I imagine he's a cargo hauler with a butt-load of weapons (a la the Millennium Falcon) rather than the sleek jet striker of Hexatron, his father. The gun mode is pretty neat too. What I am struggling with is finding some place for the giant wing/guns (that are not used as part of the wing in plane mode, which boggles me) in each of the modes. I have found somewhere to put the big guns in two or three modes, I think.

Time to watch some reviews, I think...

I have always been bothered by the pictures showing his huge, jutting knees in robot mode. How do they feel and look while the toy is held in person? Is it less jarring?

So are all these new function x repaints going to be fp core exclusives, or will they be offered through the regular retailers ?

I don't find them too bad. I'm finally on vacation. Let me see if I can put together a few pictures, with other bots for comparison...

So, I finally uploaded some pics, so sorry for the delay. I don't find the kneecaps too ugly in person. Some of these Six Knight pics make it look pretty good too.

I mean, I wouldn't want him to knee me in the nuts with them. (Come to think about it, I guess I really wouldn't want any bot to do that, even if the kneecaps were pillows.) But, as a comparison, here are Columpio's kneecaps sticking out with M.A.D.L.AW:

It appears that protruding knee armor is a thing these days....

I'd definitely recommend checking out the reviews! I am really enjoying the figure, despite the fact that I keep looking at it thinking I should find it butt ugly. However, I really like nearly every mold....
