Indeedy!

Planet X are gauging interest via their Facebook page for this potential repaint.

This is their take on the Guardian Robots from the Transformers cartoon. E-Hobby produced a repaint using the G1 Omega Supreme mould as a base.

I would like a couple of Guardian Robots for my Neo-Classics line up of screened characters but could do with a... less pricey alternative! ;)

Im dying to have a Guardian Robot. But I dont want a Guardian monkey.

I wish Maketoys would make a repaint of their Armagedon set for the Guardian version of Energon Omega along with a proper claw and head molded like the YOTS retool.

Never cared for the design of this video game designed third party Omega toy.

If Machine Boys ever makes that G1 Omega Supreme toy. Might be interested if the price is low.

If Toyworld ever decides to make more Leader class city and base bots for $114 each. I'd be willing to buy a Omega Supreme toy.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure any 3rd Party Omega Supreme offering that isn't downsized is going to be priced higher than what you are willing to pay. Definitely not $114.

Planet X made a great figure with their Omega. I get completely bored of having to defend it.

Actually, there are a lot of figures I feel like that with these days. Great toys that people haven't handled and yet still pan. It's one of the reasons I stepped back from posting for a while.

That being said, I won't be buying this. Guardian Robots aren't really "characters." They are more scenery. With the price attached to this figure, I can't justify either the money to get one or the space.

It does look really nice though. They did a great job with the deco.

Ironic that I just sold my eHobby G1 Guardian Robot. If how that sale went is any indication, there won't be enough interest to see this thing to daylight.

If finances were able, I'd have the original and two of these.

Indeed! :PEACE:

(and yes, I mean I would also do the same with two of these.)

Ha, you're not the only one! I just posted for the first time in months and only visited because I was responding to a PM I received and decided to poke around and saw some topics that interested me. I may try to stick around again like I used to, but if it's as bad as it was before, I won't linger for long.

Regarding this figure, I agree, it does look excellent and while I do have the original deco (which is one of the most epic looking figures in my entire collection, only rivaled by my MPs really), I won't be snagging one of these. I just never had a lot of attachment to the guardian robots. I've had opportunities in the past to pick up the ehobby release for a fairly reasonable price but never could bring myself to pull the trigger. The blue deco on that mold is pretty nifty and all, but the character(s) just doesn't mean enough to me personally and doesn't look cool enough. That said, I did spend kinda stupid money on an original Mechabot-1 off of ebay sometime ago and I still have no regrets about it. Those colors are better than the brown G1 deco in my opinion (although I've got that one as well of course).

Right homage, wrong mold. I would rather see Maketoys make a version of their Armageddon set with a claw hand and G1 head for the Sentinel version of Energon Omega. This Planet X mold sucks. Monkey arm city...

Looking nice! I dig those colours. I should really get Planet X's Omega Supreme, I've heard nothing but good things about it.

It doesn't suck at all. The mold, construction, and design are all quite good. I speak from firsthand experience.

My friend has it so ive seen it in person. As far as the quality, it is a solid figure. The only reason I say it sucks is more of a personal aesthetic preference. Im not fond of the monkey arms or the blooming flower blaster. Nor am I fond of the alt mode which has that "entry mode ravage" vibe going on. But just like with the FOC dinobots, I cant really blame planet x for the aesthetic. They do a great job with the accuracy. I just dislike the source material.

Bingo. :APPLAUSE: That is a perfect way to express your opinion X.

I'd buy one if I had the money. Right now I'm priced out of $300-400 items.

I've ordered this off of ebay, i hope it comes through....eventually....& i'm not getting ripped off!

btw Gammadim(this Guardian version of Project Genesis) is actually CHEAPER than Project Genesis....which is great....but weird? seeing as Gammadim comes with more extras(extra head & display stand) than Genesis + isn't there less of Gammadim made than Genesis?
