Guessing it will be Voyager class. As SXS Blurr is Voyager class. Think each Third party company tries to match characters toys in their own scale.

Do not like the current IDW design for Rodimus. So this is a easy pass for me.

If a Third party company creates a Voyager class MP toy for Hot Rod. That looks like his G1 toy and 1986 movie Season 3 cartoon art. I'd be interested in buying something like this. If Third parties then create a updated similar styled FP Protector trailer. That combines with the Voyager robot. To make the robot Ultra or Leader class, Id be interested in this also.

Groovy. Though I'm not familiar with this studio - what else have they done in the past?

Can't wait to see some actual figure pics.

Most of the current IDW TF comics characters Art, Simply don't like.

Do like the current IDW TF Characters art for Galvatron, Cyclonus.

Interested in buying a current IDW styled Cyclonus. If it's a Ultra or Leader class toy.

Love that current IDW Galvatron comic art. If Third parties made a current IDW styled Galvatron in the Leader class, I'd buy it.

SXS, Does a lot of Third party add on kits for existing HasTak Transformers toys. SXS released a few full figures for some Minibots. A few months ago, They released a SXS Blurr full figure. That tried it's best to match the scale in both modes of HasTak MP TF Voyager cars bots.

Here's a BBTS Link that shows a list of what SXS has already made. And some preorders for stuff coming out soon.

I need this in my life.

I just hope they don't screw this up, otherwise I'll settle with Cloud Rodimus. He makes a great MTMTE Roddy anyway.

I must be alone in wanting a better representation of G1's Rodimus Prime because MTMTE Hot Rod just doesn't do it for me as either character.

Youre not alone my friend. Protector kind of suffers from a outdated "warbot" aesthetic that flourished at a time when 3rd parties feared Hasbro's power in court. That additude has long faded away and all the newer figures blend in with G1 cartoon accuracy. All those sharp edges and creative liberties kind of look odd nowadays. I bought Cloud Rodimus just so I could display protector in trailer mode which is definitally its stronger mode.

Finally, a stand alone SXS figure I'll probably like!

So long as he has some paint apps. When I mentioned that about their Blurr, no one seemed to notice. Kinda felt like...

Yea, their Blurr looks decent, but not $100+ decent. Also, you're right - looking at him, what a glaring lack of paint!

I didn't even get Cloud Rodimus. What I'm looking for is a new Deluxe Hot Rod and a voyager-ish Rodimus Prime with trailer guns. FP gave me that but I'm in agreement that its time has passed.

Im cool with Hasbros deluxe Hot Rod. Outside of better articulation, I dont think they could have nailed the character better. The way hasbro does CHUG these days, I would be scared they would try to make him an earth car with a fake yellow fin in robot mode. But its time for a real voyager Rodimus. But I think I would rather the trailer be part of the bulk that makes the robot voyager scale. But not as armor, I mean an MP ultra magnus style transformation. Were the trailer guns ever in the cartoon or was it strictly toy only ? I just remember the trailer appearing out of nowhere like Prime. I recall Primes trailer transformed in the cartoon at least once in season one. I cant remember...

episode 3 and I think that was it for primes trailer transformation. I really like MTMTE so I want a hotrodimus in that vain, but a traditional Rodimus Prime is needed, around the height of classics prime imo...I don't like roddy getting to big for his britches ya know.

Same here. It will be very interesting to try and capture the much more "organic" (anthropomorphic) curves of the figure in toy form.

I must be the only one who's getting sick of the slavishly GEEWUN direction 3Ps have been taking recently. One of the cool things about older 3P products (FP in their prime, Hercules etc) was that they took just enough liberty with the designs that they looked modern and refreshing but not so much that they were unrecognizable. The best examples (IMO) were Warbot Assaulter (AKA the only Broadside we will ever need), the FP Insecticons and of course good ol' Hercules (who I am still waiting for a UK seller on eBay to offer for a reasonable price, preferably at a time when I actually have the money!). This newer trend for heavily G1 3P figures kinda sucks- all the imagination that made 3P interesting is gone, replaced with just copying designs from the cartoon/comic/whatever is popular at the time.

All that said, I am interested in this provided it's CHUG scale. From what I've seen of it, Roddy's MTMTE design is pretty sweet, so this *should* be good.

I'm with you. That's why I've really bought into FP's Dinobots. They have a nice updated look about them whilst still being a nod to the original.

Plus, I'm a huge MTMTE fan, and I've really loved Milne's designs. It's great to see MMC taking on the more modern stuff, which they've done so well.

The HasTak MP Voyager class cars bots have 6.3 inch tall robot modes. So i'd be interested in a G1 1986 styled Update Hotrod toy. Done in this HasTak Voyager MP cars bot scale.

Don't care for the art comics design for MTMTE Rodimus. Would never buy a toy inspired from this design.
