He looks so close to the HasTak MP Grimlock that the most dominant reason for me to buy this figure will be because he'll likely be better suited for the rest of the FT Dibots (height-wise). Need some alt mode pics, but this isn't wowing me.

This might seem like an extreme nit pick, but those knees ruin everything for me.

Wow, this seems reeeaallly unnecessary, think the 3p's need to move onto something that has/tak isn't touching, like victory, or something, because this is getting ridiculous

I don't know how they did it, but from a design point of view at the very least, FT improved on perfection. That prototype is gorgeous.

I preordered this guy as soon as he went up.

Have you ever talked to any other collectors who have been wanting Dinobots in their MP collection that scales well with MP-10 and onward? Have you ever seen how excited people in these forums get when FansToys announces (and FINALLY releases) one of their MP "Dibots"? Lastly, have you ever seen anyone comment on how they wish there were an MP Grimlock in scale bot mode with the other Dibots?

From what has been talked about, FansToys was not going to release the MP Grimlock BUT heard the support of fans still wanting a version from them. Please include me as one of those people.

So, FansToys' version of the Dinobots fills a critical gap in the MP line. HasTak would either have to choose to continue the scale of MP-08 (which would be too small compared to current MP figures), or scale up MP-08/make a new one and then start releasing the other 4. I guess I'm just trying to say that the teasing and subsequent release of Grinder is not "unnecessary".

The knees may just be for support because it's obviously a prototype. The final version will probably have enough reinforcement to not collapse under the weight, much like MP08. Fans Toys quality overall is one of the best of the Third Party companies. I think I only had one problem with a loose joint on their version of Perceptor. I've had worse luck than that with official products.
