They are not versions of Grimlock and his original G1 Dinobots so I did not include.

And yet you included a custom and Toyworld's version twice ;)

Am I the only one on this site that would rather see sludge as the torso for the sake of dino scale ? I think the whole "Me grimlock biggest because me leader" concept is kind of stupid. Since the dinobots were all traditionally the same height in robot mode, if ones gotta be bigger for the sake of a torso, use the damn brontosaurus.

Personally, I'm in the camp that believes that the Dinobots are so badass they don't need to combine.

Dammit, Mkall. Stop reading my mind! ;)

But overall, yeah. That's one reason I went with Planet X. I don't have to buy a new Grimlock with them. ;) Well, that and their Dinobots are friggin' awesome!

And nobody including yourself wants to weigh in on that idea...

Youre like the new Tsu on here. I guess somebodys gotta fill his shoes until he returns...

Pretty much same for me too. Thankfully FansProject's Dinobots have felt kind of lacking in comparison.

Although I MAY get Planet X's Grimlock. Time will tell.

I went with GCreation for the exact same reason. MP-08 is my Classics Grimlock and the limbs go with him brilliantly while looking nice a big when compared to the other Autobots. Swoop is a different matter though. I really want him blue and smaller, so the FP version is at the top of my list atm, even though it is lacking in so many ways :HEADHURTS:

Im going with fansproject because it is the best option for a CHUG shelf in my opinion. I like the G-Creation aesthetic but the thought of a bigger Grimlock just kills me. I care nothing about the combiner aspect. Right now im using the crappy FOC Grimlock (with upgrades) but I have every intention to replace it with fansprojects Grimlock. I think people give FOC Grimlock too much credit. Even with the added chest cover, the dino mode still looks more like a toy than something that stepped out of a cartoon, game, or comic. Its got a silly chomp light up mouth gimmick for kids that keeps the jaw from being posed open. And the crappy dino arms pop off whenever you touch them. And that tail....ugh. It looks like a garden lizzard that broke off his tail to escape being caught and just started growing a new one. Whether youre going fansproject, planet x, or whatever, dont settle for a fair Grimlock thats going to be outshined by higher quality teammates.

DM has turned into the new Tsu. He might as well start telling everybody rinse, wash, repeat, when he doesnt agree with their opinions. But at least Tsu had a sense of humor and actually bought some of the figures he would offer opinions on.

The Dinos don't need to be a combiner for me, but it's fun that there are options for that.

I've got the FP Dinos as my "main" ones, and the Toyworld Dinos to be a nice, shiny combiner.

Rated X, Delta Magnus, enough. Again.

The next post from either of you which is not contributing to a discussion on topic in *any* thread across the boards will result in a warning.

Thank you.

As for a dinobot combiner, wouldn't this be like a sorry excuse of a not-Predaking wannabee? Though the formation of using Sludge as the main torso like that of Go-lion is kind of feasible given that a brontosaurus is bigger than the rest of the group. With the exception of Dinoking where Goryu, the leader wasn't the main torso, it kind of sticks that the leader of the group, in this case, not-Grimlock is stereotyped into this position.

EDIT by Va'al - Unnecessary continuation of the moderated discussion.

A better solution would be going a direction other than the Scramble City style combination- so having Slag and Snarl form the arms, Swoop form the wings, Grimlock form the upper torso, and Sludge (who should be XBAWKS HUEG) form the lower torso and both legs.

Well stereotypes are made to be broken. (Im living proof ;) ) And while he wasnt scramble city, Scrapper was a leg and never formed part of Devastators torso which is sterotyped as being the "brains" unit of the team.

On a side note, I dont think making swoop form wings is a great idea. MMC tried that with Divebomb (using Felisaber as arm) and Divebomb as a backpack didnt get a great response.

Scrapper and Hook are vying for that position. Anyway, back to the "formation". if indeed we follow the Go-lion style, Not-Sludge as the torso, who would merit the feet part? Not-Snarl and Not-Sl@g? No way would Not-Swoop form a leg that's for sure.

I would put snarl as the other arm with swoop because he is the most slender of the four land based dinos.
