Sadly, I'd expect crummy plastic or shoddy QC. Either that or ToyWorld is just that good.

ToyWorld's qc is normally pretty good. I've never had any problems with either of your assumptions on their products. So far I have Hegemon, Orion, Bii, & all the Throttlebots.

Yeah, I am aware their QC is pretty good. I'm just worried by the low pricepoint on such large, heavily-engineered figures. I worry where they've cut corners.

If they are shooting to put these into our masterpiece collections, I highly doubt they made a conscious decision to put out a crappy product. That doesn't make sense.

Eh, I dunno. I'm a paranoid person. They must have cut costs somewhere to get something that size out that cheap. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'd say they realize they are the 5th Devestator in this race so jacked up pricing would only push potential buyers even further away from this project.

betcha because most third party prices bring back huge margins. they kinda need to to offset lower raw sales dollars. maybe toyworld has moved up a bit in sales so we see the benefit here and hopefully in the future

I have Herc (who I still love) and UW Devs arriving any day, I have no need for this. But god DAYUM am I ever feelin it. If he was the same size as Herc, he'd replace him. But sadly he isn't and I already plan to display UW with the MP's.

Even with no spot though... I would love to jump on this.

Unite Warriors Devastator obviates the need for any 3rd Party Constructicons in my collection. For me, this guy is arriving to a party that was over last year.

The only thing keeping me away from this is its size. The thought of MP combiners doesn't appeal to me at all. I bought Hasbro's Devastator bc I wanted to support the size class for future releases & although I quite like him, he really doesn't fit in anywhere in my collection. This would be much the same. If it rivaled the sizes of Hercules or Giant, however, I would be enclined to take a closer look. ToyWorld puts out quality product.

Not new, but I just wanted to drop that in there. I reaaaaallly like their Long Haul. All six of em actually.

What really irks me though, is why are these companies still doing MP scaled figures, but not in the current cartoon inspired MP style? Even with nowhere to go in my collection, I decided to get Scrapper since he's my favorite. If its kismet, I'll get the rest.

Watching reviews of the first two, I have to say I'm impressed. I like these.

I thought I'd pick Generation Toy's version over TW's, but the more recent pictures have swayed me over here. I'm not going to be an early adopter on this project (playing catch up with some other figures first) but I'm thinking this set will display nicely somewhere.

Uhhhhh... where are his thighs, wrists, and hands coming from? Is he an uber-parts-former like their Throttlebot combiner?

Yeah, I'm guessing so. Possibly thrown in Long Haul's bed like CW Devastators forearms...or maybe a pull along trailer like MT's Giant...or maybe a later add on like TFC's Hercules..

Doesn't bug me. So far no one has been able to do an all inclusive Devastator.

You mean, except... HASBRO???

No, I included them. The chest wing and forearms were just pegged I to long hauls bed. Doesn't bother me at all, but I wouldn't call that inclusive either.

Yep.

I actually don't mind the extra parts. It makes him look much better in all modes. Also since the head for combined mode it pretty friggin huge, it wouldn't fit in Hook. That's an extra piece also. I actually like it a lot. The yellow version is the one I like best, and plus the yellow one comes with an extra screaming face.

Also, I think the vehicle modes look a whole lot better in the yellow also.

Plus it's just nostalgic. G2 Devs was the first version of the big guy I ever saw. I thought it was weird that they were green the first time I saw G1.
