After the great job HasTak did with their Devy this year, I don't think this will be profitable for TW.

I dunno. Hasbro screwed up with the scale. If TW makes a cartoon accurate devy that actually scales with other combiner wars combiners, people might want it. Also, a mixmaster that looks like a cement mixer instead of a rolling toilet is a big plus. I got both herc and giant, but this has got my attention.

He's 19.5 inches, so just slightly taller than CW Devy. Guessing that doesn't do them any favors. But the cartoon accuracy might work, and functioning joints/swivels.

I didnt catch that part. Well I take back what I said then. Not a good investment on TWs part. To this day I dont get the point of Hasbrostator being bigger than the other combiners other than child playability hence the simplified transformations. If they wanted to do "Titan" class so bad, what we should have gotten was a titan class Trypticon to go with Metroplex instead of a stand alone devy meant for little kids.

Too big to be practical for me. Seems like it's meant to go with their Dinocombiner, but that's very much a one-off purchase at that height for me.

Does this count as an MP Devestator for anyone?

Pointless.

This was kinda what I was thinking. CW Devy already might make Herc and Giant obsolete. Why so many competing Devys now?

Hardly. Even the vastly superior Takara Devastator has horrendously thin plastic, unsightly hollow bits and some questionable proportions. Literally the only thing he's got going for him is his price and size (personally I like the size on CW Devastator- construction vehicles are bloody big things).

That said, if this is anything like ToyWorld's other combiners (made almost entirely of kibble that does bugger all outside of combined mode) I'm not biting.

Looks like they are part of Long Haul's back part and fold out.

toyworld always seems to just do what they do regardless of whether or not it makes sense to anyone else. that said it seems to almost always have a positive result and i personally want this and every other combiner they do in this scale. combiners should be huge. i think the hastak constructicons are best suited to be displayed as individual bots because they look way better in that mode IMO.

Not possible. The hips are wider than Long Haul...

Even if this had come out at the time Giant & Hercules did, the line art doesn't look good. This version looks long and spindly. Something about the proportions is throwing me off too.

Good grief, he's HUGE!

Shame that this being ToyWorld all his combiner parts will do nothing at all outside of combined mode.

This guy looks pretty impressive but I'm still sitting it out. Too late to the party to get my vote. That blue version of Bii though, so bought!

preorders at bbts http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=toyworld

first in december and says in descriptions that there will be LED lights for the vehicles, not sure if that means just the eyes for devastator or the gun or actually the vehicles- that would be awesome

also, the prices are very reasonable, for third party, i thought for sure they'd be masterpiece prices like $120-150

It's impressive, but still a no from me. I'm down for UW Devestator, but that's it at that scale. I have Herc and Giant; both work for my combiner scales. But, for Devy, I'm done. He's my favourite combiner, but I draw my line at two 3rd party and one giant official take. Especially when this take will be 600+.

I mean, it looks amazing. Every time I think I see an ultimate Devestator I'm proven wrong. I'm sure I'll see pics of this guy and feel like a fool for passing. At these prices he's about as much as Herc was which makes Herc a total joke.

But still ... enough is enough for me. I just wish this had come out right at the start of the 3d party Combiner Wars because it probably woulda won.

That's some seriously clever engineering on the tread legs. Which makes it all the sadder that half the combined mode will probably be kibble with nowhere to go outside of Devastator.

Holy hell working pistons on Scavenger  How does Toyworld keep it's price low with that much working parts?
