If they throw in the Scramble City Targetmaster feature I am officially buying this. That silhouette is just menacing. And more to the point, SEACONS SEACONS SEACONS

Aw, crap. And just when my wallet was about to recover...

Is that Leokaiser on the right (Hades)?

That is correct.

Didn't TFC release a silhouette of Poseidon a long time ago? I got excited seeing this thread thinking I was going to see something in plastic.

I don't know which Seacon that is (I'm guessing Seawing)...but that looks gorgeous.

As with each TFC product, I try to remain optimistic, but I fear history will repeat itself...

Oh, right, that one. Yeah, I'm not interested in that Leokaiser. I didn't recognize it from the silhouette. Thanks, AG!

I'm interested for sure. I've been waiting for a good set of Seacons.

Damn, this is an actual character I want.

Maybe, TFC. Maybe.

To be honest I still kinda want TFC's Predaking, it just got pushed way, WAY off my radar with Combiner Wars and Dinobots all happening together.

Honestly, provided they keep in the Scramble City Targetmaster gimmick I'm all in. I can even tolerate the lack of parts integration here just because it's the goddamn Seacons.

If I only get one of these it'll be Overbite.

That's one mighty fine looking shark...bot...thing right there.

Seawing looks to mechanical for my taste. I was hoping for a little more monster and less robot kind of aesthetic.

I'm interested though. Looking forward to more previews.

I know this is going to sound weird, but, these are not derpy enough for me. I love the G1 set. Here's Overbite:

Image

He was more of a sleek Mako shark than a brutish Great White, which is what I think TFC is more going for. But then, the G1 figure had those cool looking arms and legs that turned the figure into sleak and derpy all at the same time. (Though, the paint on it might lead to that impression with me too.) TFC's arms and legs look too integrated into the overall design. I don't know. Maybe it's the impression that things are too detailed. Paint could help that a lot.

The feelings I get when I see the G1 Seacons is one of wanting to laugh at them and run away screaming all at the same time. I do not get that impression from the Poseidon set thus far. To be fair, I cannot think of anything else that does that for me. Well, maybe zombie clowns....

Maybe I'm just too critical. I think what I want is the Unique Toys Predacon treatment for the Seacons.

On the other hand, I am happy with my G1 reissue, terrifyingly derpy though they are.

Looks kinda cybertron-ish/blockish to be the Piranhacon, IMO.

And something about the alt modes just doesn't click with me. They just don't look as menacing as the original's sea monsters.

I know what you mean, although myself I quite like them. They have that nice organic look to them, and Seawing in particular looks great (which is especially impressive given that Seawing is my least favourite G1 Seacon). The sculpt and detailing is absolutely superb, and given TFC's generally decent standard of paintwork I feel they'll look fantastic when finished.

I do feel you on Overbite- I love the G1 Overbite toy with its sleek shark body and powerful raptor-like limbs- but I think this guy makes a good landshark. I think the rear legs could stand to be a bit bulkier and more powerful looking, but I love the sharky bits so much (especially that head) that I can deal with it. The robot modes look on point too, and I look forward to seeing them with their weapons.

Plus, I'm just hyped as all hell that the SEACONS are finally getting an update. The combined mode silhouette especially looks awesome.

Yikes, these things are massive, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the targetmaster mode thing is being omitted from this set; shame, b/c that's what their whole gimmick was >:oP
