Hey all.
I've been browsing the ebays a bit recently, as well as ad sites like Gumtree looking for CHUG stuff.
I've come across an oddly large number of MISB Universe 2.0 Acid Storms.
I know there were knock-offs of this mold produced by KO toys, but these are all universe packaging and *look* legit, but the sheer amount of them I've seen leads me to be suspicious.
Are there knock-offs of this figure floating about that I should be wary of before I put my money down for one of them?

Yes there are in packaging KO's of Acid Storm and Universe Starscream as well as the Henkei ones CHMS did - the Hasbro style ones are actually hard to spot than the CHMS ones are.
They are serviceable toys if you can get them cheaply enough but don't go pay $20.00 for a KO of a Hasbro one.
I would guess buying one loose is more likely to secure you a legit one - if the seller has a legit looking collection of other items they are selling.
KO's are not bad you just have to make an informed purchase and not get ripped off - i.e. like paying Legit money for a KO of a Shadow Scythe is a good example.
Fortunately the typical Hasbro toy is lower value than a 3rd party so the prices only sometime get really crazy either way.
I'd certainly recommend certain CHMS toys to people though the CHMS Rainmakers are especially nice for example.

I have got one of these and they are crap, loose, lots of parts dont clip together. There is site that compares the two, just be very wairy of these cheaper versions.

thanks for the heads up guys. I knew it was way too good to be true. I got burned before by the knock-off mirage when I first started my classics collection. A lesson hard learned!

If you are still interested in a legit version, PM me.
I have been cleaning out some of my CHUG and he's on the chopping block.
